When I purchased the 2011 Honda Odyssey, I immediately informed the owner that I smelled oil. He assured me that the vehicle had just received an oil change and that the smell was simply from excess oil that had spilled during the service. Based on his explanation, I took him at his word. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing several problems. When I brought these issues to the owner's attention, he told me not to worry and instructed me to take the van to his mechanic. He promised that all of the problems would be fixed and that I would not have any further issues with the vehicle. I towed the van approximately 200 miles to his mechanic's shop. However, after arriving, it appeared that little to no work was performed. The mechanic simply parked the vehicle, later claiming it had been repaired and was ready for pickup. When I picked it up, the original problems were still present. I also do not understand how this vehicle passed its smog inspection. Shortly after leaving the dealership, the check engine light came on during my drive home. The next day, I took the van to a smog shop, and the technician told me that there was no way the vehicle should have passed inspection in its current condition. According to the technician, it appeared that whoever approved the smog certification either had connections or was improperly influenced. The owner repeatedly promised that he would have the vehicle repaired at no cost to me and that I would not have to pay anything out of pocket. Unfortunately, those promises were never fulfilled, and the issues with the van remain.

If you get stuck in this situation *1 you could go kick in the door and beat them up but then go to jail...*2 tell them yes come get the car but I want all my money back and paperwork back or you won't get the car and I will call the bbb and report them for fraud. I recommend #2 and record them coming to get the vehicle and making sure they repeat telling you you don't owe anything or are not liable for that vehicle anymore that you did not buy the car after all ...hopefully this helps .
