Verve coffee was one of my favorite coffeeshops when I used to live in LA a few years ago. Finding them here in Miami was a nice surprise. Yes, Capital One cafe is actually a Verve coffeeshop. It has a lot of seats that include high chairs, chairs with armrests, etc. it's a good location to have a coffee while taking a work call or answering some emails away . The quality of the coffee is exactly as good as I had back in LA. Perfect acidity, medium roast, all in all a great coffee. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to return when I'm around the Miracle Mile area. Now, I gotta try their Brickell location to compare. Brickell is much closer to me and if it is as good as this one, I see it becoming my go-to coffeeshop. My only complaint to the business, please start using real coffee mugs, not paper/plastic cups. As a coffee snob myself, I can tell it makes a huge difference to sip from a paper cup as opposed to from a real coffee mug, the coffee tastes different. Real coffee mugs would elevate the experience altogether. Tip : Capital One cardholders, as myself, you get a 50% discount for handcrafted coffees. Visited Capital One Cafe on the mile to catch up on a little bit of work. The space was pristine clean, plenty of comfortable spaces to work from- couches, bars, small tables, collaborative spaces, etc. they even have small meeting rooms you can book via the app, up to 3 days in advance (must be a card holder). I did order a caramel late, not the best, it tasted like ordinary coffee. I dis not complain as i was quite busy.. they had pastries but none looked appealing, they looked pretty old, i didn't order any. Capital one was my first bank since I turned 18, I'm now 24 and for years I've been visiting for bank inquiries or just coffee (most of the time) I have seen the barista staff change so many times over the years but every time I visit the service is always on point. Guess what? I'm sitting in this place, having gotten a lot of work done, thanks to the pleasant atmosphere of the cafe! There aren't too many people sitting in the cafe, and even if there were (earlier), there is plenty of space to sit with a laptop and do your thing. Lots of tables, chairs, countertops, high stools, lounge chairs, patio tables and chairs outside...see? All with outlets built right below or next to the tables and counters. There are meeting rooms that are available to rent and two "nooks" (small rooms for 2-3 people to sit and converse). Unlike your chain coffee shops, they don't have any music on, so you can bring your headphones and listen to your own music or enjoy the lack of noise to get stuff done. They have attendants who can advise on Capital One products (since that's the point of having a Capital One cafe), but they are also just generally helpful. I asked at the coffee bar whether I could get a wipe to clean the water stains on the countertop I sat at, and an attendant came to clean the counter. The staff, including those above mentioned attendants, are friendly and helpful. The barista asked if it was my first time there when I approached the counter and was ready with drink and menu recommendations. He gave me some great options when I said I was looking for a non coffee drink. I had a Fruit Shaker, which is an iced tea mixed with some fruit juice and lemonade. I was attracted to the Yuzu Citrus flavoring, so the barista recommended black tea to go in it. The result was a very refreshing, citrus forward sipper that kept me happy while I trudged through work. Of course, you should use a Capital One card to pay since you get 50% off all handcrafted drinks there (yes!). Doing so brought my $6 drink to $3. Oh heck yes. I would have gotten all the lovely Peet's Coffee I could here if I were drinking coffee. They keep the cafe frosty so that you forget the heat right outside. I came in way sweatier than I like to admit and was quite chilled by the time I was settled into working. Their bathrooms are clean and accessible---no need to awkwardly ask for a bathroom key like other coffee shops. It's a welcome oasis in the busy area of Miracle Mile! Go see for yourself! read more

Today we finally made our way over here and were pleasantly surprised! I had the Honey Lavender Latte iced and my husband had a cappuccino. Both were very good! I had a 16 oz and my husband a 12 oz. A bank is not my ideal place to go and hang out. Usually it's a huge lobby with double digit windows but only two people actually working them, banks rank right above hospitals in warmth. Capitol One is trying to change that with this concept. Let's start off with there is no tellers. All transactions are done next gen atms. There is a Peet's Coffee right dab in the middle of the space. Add lots of tables and lounge chairs and you have a unique way to bank. They encourage you to come in and set up meetings, do work and just relax, read and enjoy the space. We all see what's happening with traditional brick and mortar shops. Amazon is killing everything but I feel that no matter how convenient they make it, deep down in their soul, people want to have interpersonal connections. But I think it's only the drinks no food. We tried a cinnamon roll and split it (you know split the calories), and it was pretty good! What I liked about this place was the spaciousness of it! And there weren't a hundred people on their laptops like at Starbucks! There were people playing chess and there's a lot of sofas and tables to sit very comfortably! It's rare that I give a 2-star rating and I'm rounding up to 2 because of the friendly service I received from Brooke. Recently, I've been intrigued by the idea of these new Capital One Cafes that are popping up. Today, I finally visited the one on Miracle Mile solely because I was on a mission to deposit a check here for an online bank account. I'd rather deposit this check through mobile, but mobile deposits have limits. Hence, my visit to this CO Cafe which allows higher deposit amounts. Before I walked in, I thought "what a cool convenience for people with online-only bank accounts. We now have physical locations to visit to take care of our banking needs.. AND grab a coffee." As I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Brooke who was on her laptop at a high table. It's such a casual atmosphere. This didn't feel like a bank, but more like meeting a friend or acquaintance at a coffee shop. Pretty cool. Brooke led me to an ATM at the side of the store where I could deposit my check. I slid in my debit card. After a few options, I slid in the check as well and then we noticed an error on the screen. It wouldn't recognize the correct deposit amount. Apparently, this same issue happens with other customers; not just me. We went on to the 2nd ATM and followed the same procedure only to find that this ATM had the same issue. However, this 2nd machine would not give my debit card back. I froze in horror. I let Brooke know about it, so she walked around the machine to fetch my card from the rear and handed it back to me o_o That was weird. This must happen a lot! Then we tried a 3rd ATM at the front of the store. Ultimately, this one had the same problem, however this machine didn't eat my card. Brooke made a quick phone call to consult with customer support on how I should get this check deposited. She advised me that I'd have to mail it out to their Deposit department which is basically a mailbox. Poor Brooke. I'm guessing she has to deal with these ATM issues pretty often with customers, but she seems to handle it pretty well. All in all, it's really cool that my online bank is turning into a hybrid Bank/Starbucks. Sadly, the banking aspect was non-existent for me today. This location just opened in December. I know Capital One can do better than this :/ Either way, I'm looking forward to adding more stars on my future visits when these issues get resolved. read more

Capital One Café is almost too good to be true. So, let's keep is a secret. My first impression was it's a coffee shop, with a bank's name. Like they stole Capital One's moniker and a lawyer's cease and desist letter must be forthcoming. Then when you look closer it really is a Capital One Bank that dressed up as a coffee shop. And I am all for it. I hardly ever set foot in a bank. The ATM is as close as I get. I think CO is looking to re-engage people such as I. And coffee is a great way to do it. If you have a Capital One card and you come in between 1pm and 3pm you get up to two free coffee beverages from their fairly extensive menu. Yes, that's right two coffees for free... every day (weekday?). And its Peete's coffee, and it's good. There are real Baristas making it (hey Savannah!) not some old pot of drip sitting on a table. I actually applied and got a Capital One card just so I could come in and get my coffee. So, I think we both win on that accord. Free wifi, free study snacks (!!), friendly employees, lots of space... BLESS. About the snacks, throughout May, my Wednesday mornings were fueled by free Salty Donut (two full donuts per person!). The promo is until June 13th, after which they might switch to a different local business to promote. Moreover, if you have a Capital One account, Mon-Sat, 1-3pm is happy hour when you can get two free Peet's Coffee beverages (anything on the menu, any size). And if it's not happy hour, you always still get 50% off for being a member. Talk about hospitality! You don't have to be a Capital One member to take advantage of the work space though. Too good to be true... BUT IT IS TRUE. Came at 9am on a weekday and spent the whole day getting work done. There's so much study space between the quieter community room, livelier cafe area, individual study rooms (first come first serve), and meeting rooms. My friend and I were indecisive at first in choosing where to sit and sensing we were first-timers, one of the staff gave us coupons for a free drink from the Peet's Coffee cafe. They are also have complimentary cucumber lemon water. So awesome study spot with free coffee and bougie water, how can it get any better? **Free donuts!** Every Wednesday, they partner with a local bakery and this month happens to be Salty Donut. :o Yes, I am talking FREE SALTY DONUT. They started serving around 9am and ran out at about noon. You would think that the donuts would be mini versions or maybe just pieces but nope we're talking TWO full size donuts per person. A Capital One Berry Pie and a choice of one of Salty's year round donuts. Although this place is owned by Capital One and has ATMs, "money coaches," and superhero-themed banking graphics, you don't need to have a Capital One account to hangout. Aside from all the other incredible perks, there's free wifi, plenty of outlets, and clean bathrooms. You're right on Miracle Mile with Chipotle only half a block away. What a wonderful location - I should have come here a lot earlier! I have had an account with Capital One for a while and always did everything online. I recently had a question so I stopped by feeling a little bit weird because 1)I wasn't really sure if this is actually a bank or just a cafe & 2)I went in there extra after a beauty treatment extremely casual looking (aka like a homeless person). I received fantastic service from Derek. He was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He really seemed to be enthusiastic about his job which I don't see a lot nowadays. After my consultation, he invited me to a free beverage of choice. I was delighted to see that they have all sorts of iced-tea mixes which I am a big fan of. Capital One members always get 50% off here if they show their credit card. It is difficult to give a proper evaluation of this place only as a coffee shop or as a bank branch, but mixing both into one concept is an outstanding idea that deserves five stars.
