I was in dire of dance shoes and googled this place. Upon arrival one of the employees came and gave me a pair of shoes to fit. I bought a pair following the advise it might stretch. Unfortunately I couldn't stand on them for more than an hour so I brought them for return. I was told they were not in "new" condition, so they didn't take the shoes back. Not sure how much use Can a pair of shoes get in less than an hour but anyways.. Now I'm stuck if a pair of shoes worth more than $100 that I can't even wear. read more

I ordered multiple sizes in jazz shoes for my daughter because I was told they run small. I CALLED the store and spoke to a young lady and asked if I order shoes online can they be returned to the store her answer was YES! Needless to say I went to return and the girl at the counter said she can't return them but could exchange only. I told her that before I even ordered the shoes online I called the store to make sure they take returns at the store and was told YES. Her reply to me was unfortunately we're training new people and they gave me the wrong information. Had the absolute BEST experience at Capezio today. Dane was the best representative for Capezio dance company. He has so much knowledge, spunk and experience!! When we left my kids couldn't stop talking about how much they LOVED him and how nice and cool he was. Dance company's can be intimidating ((for a non dancer background)) but we all left feeling educated and prepared for dance. Both of my kids a boy and a girl left with what they needed and ready for dance. Worth the drive for us. read more

The outlet was nice and clean. the sales lady were very accommodating in answering all my questions since i am at a novice at buying shoes. they were limited with their ballroom selections but the price and quality is worth it. I bought practice shoes for very cheap, other stores offer that same model 4x the price i bought. They had good sales on leotard and ballet shoes including accessories. I went there to buy a pair of ballet flats. The person working there was super kind. When we went in she asked if we would need help. We replied "no" because it was are first time and we thought it would be super easy to find the perfect pair. But when we got to the dance shoe section we were a bit lost. But at that moment that lady from earlier came without us even asking. She asked what type of dance shoe I needed. Then measured my foot size and after that she went to get the pair of ballet flats. Nikki Guerra is definitely the reason I would come back to Capezio Wayne even if I moved. She is so friendly and approachable. She goes above and beyond all your needs every time you enter the store. She is very knowledgeable about the product and honest. She would never steer you in the wrong direction and I find that to be very hard to come by these days. She is not pushy and very patient. She's an incredible manager and even wonderful person. Capezio is very lucky to have her! I see great things happening at this store because of her. If I could give them a negative 5 stars, I would! They have the WORST customer service ever! I have worked in CS for over 10 years and I have never be treated so poorly! If you want horrible service, then visit the Capezio Dance Factory Outlet! I will never shop here again! I don't care how cheap they make their items! I went there about 2 weeks ago after seeing an add for 15% dance wear at the Little Gym. I was in the market for a leotard and tights for my daughter. Upon arrival, the woman behind the counter directed me to a nice two piece for her and then I mentioned the ad. She said, well you need to have brought something like an actual coupon. I continued to tell her that I did not see an actual coupon but simply a flyer hung up and advertised. Because I had two young kids with me and I was 7 months pregnant, I told her I was not going back to find the coupon. She also stated that it was only a certain line of dance wear anyway that did not include what I had wanted to purchase. A few days later, I was back at the gym and there was a stack of coupons for 20% ALL dance wear. Really? Thanks for caring about your customers and wanted to keep them. read more

ZERO Customer service! The week of November 1, 2010, my MIL took my daughter to this store to buy an outfit for her ballet class (top, skirt, tights, shoes, the works!) As they were trying on clothes, my 3 year old needed to go to the bathroom. The clerk REFUSED to let my child use their bathroom - in spite of the fact that they were about to make a purchase in the store. Can you imagine turning down your bathroom to a toddler? It's not like my mother-in-law was asking to use the bathroom - they denied a child. My MIL promptly left and we will never return. If they can't see that the customer (a child!) is the most important thing, they will never see a penny of my money. I will tell everyone I know about my experience with this store, and hopefully will save you a wasted trip. Give your business to a store that cares about customers, not just your money. read more

I don't know what that lady who reviewed this store first is talking about. The girls who assist me there are always SO nice and helpful. They really know their stuff too. No one in there was ever rude to me. EVER. The only time it was hard to get someone to help me out was around their busy time in September, but even then I didn't wait very long. Maybe people in California just don't understand us Jersey people. Most people think we're mean no matter how nice we are being =) read more

This store is no longer an Outlet- be forewarned. That said- the selection is so much better, the store is cleaner and now I don't have to take my daughter to two different dance stores to find what she needs because they finally have pointe shoe fitters! The staff is polite and knowledgable and really helped us get what we needed quickly! What a time saver! read more
