He used to make pointe shoes so he knows everything one would possibly need to know! He helped me get the perfect shoe so that I could get over the box as well as possible. When i inquired about the deal, the female worker scoffs and points to a tousled shelf of less than 10 out of box ballet slippers and says: Those are the only $9.99 ballet shoes. Nowhere on the advertisement does it say "select ballet shoes" or ANY other disclaimer. She gave no explanation and declined to honor their own advertisement. They sent no correction email. Nothing. Totally lost my business, I've always shopped here for many many years, I'm a believer is supporting small businesses and the owner is always at this location. Today I went in to buy my daughter jazz shoes ( drove 20 miles for I moved) I asked if I could buy 2 sizes since my daughter was in school and could not try them on, and return the pair that doesn't fit. I was told I could but it would be for store credit $40... common.. We really needed a particular leotard for my 4 year old and they didn't have it, however I just bought something else to accommodate the need. While I'm looking around she starts to need to go to the restroom. They wouldn't let my 4 year old use the restroom. That's really bad customer service. As a parent, I couldn't be more pleased! I was very impressed with the fitter's knowledge and attention to detail with each pair of shoes. This is the place to go if you need anything dance related. They have answered every question I had over the last 2 years since my daughter began ballet and on this particular day I knew that my daughter was in the best hands for this next step. I went today to go shopping for jazz and ballet shoes for an upcoming performance. Dahlia and Marty helped me out as I was looking for my dance shoes. Loved their accommodation and had a great experience talking about dance and the dance studios around here and the La area. I haven't gone dance shoe shopping in so long and had a great experience and missed it. They delivered an excellent service and luckily had the shoes for my size and the colors i wanted. No idea why people are commenting about Capezio's customer service... I have been going to this dance store since I started dancing almost two decades ago, and have NEVER had a problem with customer service. The owner is usually the person at the front desk. He is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything he sells. I noticed a comment about the return policy, but the customer is notified AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE about the return policy, so the purchase is made at the customer's discretion. Also, if I recall correctly, there are paper notifications on the checkout desk about the policy. Capezio is the best place in Riverside county to purchase any dance wear or accessories. Be aware all purchases are considered final sale!!! No full refunds but only store credits. Even if you bought new arrivals they still would not accept any return for unworn and unused items even with the receipts!! Bought something and realized we no longer needed them because of class cancellation. Went to return within 24 hours of purchasing but they refuse refunds!! Owner said we did this way for decades. Very disappointed. Took time off of work on a Friday afternoon to go get dance shoes needed for my daughters recital. The sign on the site and on the door state that the operating hours are 19am-7pm. Walked up to the business at 4:45 pm and it was pitch dark. No note on the door or anything. We called and left a message and no return call. We even went to the Burlington next door thinking maybe someone stepped out for a minute. Nope a hour later still pitch dark. I understand things happen, but a note on the door or a call back would have been the right thing to do. The business missed out in a $100 in purchases. Complete waste of our time to go across town on a Friday. Total disappointment! Take your business somewhere else. read more

Although when we walked in it was busy the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful! I would rate 5 stars except I felt like the selection was a bit thin... Must be a popular size but almost all the youth medium outfits were missing :( There seemed to be a BUNCH of youth large and intermediate child but medium was almost nowhere to be found in the two piece dance wear section... Beware of using coupons here and believing that you will get that discount. Capezio is closer to me so I decided to go despite their high prices and since I had a coupon why not, right? Well I was wrong and they proved that twice to me. There were two different visits where I came in to use a coupon and both times I didn't receive that discount. The first visit I came in the month of my daughters birthday which Capezio would email you a 20 percent off your entire purchase coupon for that month of your dancers birthday. Well I ended up purchasing my daughter new tap shoes, ballet shoes, jazz shoes, a leotard and tights. I have Marty (the owner) my coupon when I was ready to pay for my items and he took it just as if he was applying it to my purchase. Come to find out on my receipt he only discounted one item off for 20 percent. I had already paid and confronted him about this and he came up with an excuse and didn't give me a refund for 20 percent off the items I should have received. Second visit I had another coupon $15 off your purchase of $50. Again they rang me up without giving me the discount. They took my coupon making me believe that they were applying the discount. There is also no returns. I will not be going back again. Discount Dance has much better prices for the same item. You can return and their always offering discounts and they actually do apply them to your purchase. read more

Capezio is our local store for all things dance. We can drive 20+ minutes to a store that has items priced lower, but we do not get the same service there. Yes, we can get a lot of things cheaper online...but we can't try anything on or get advice there, so it's unreasonable to compare when it comes to most dance wear and shoes. 99% of the time we'd rather pay a little more and get good fittings, good advice, and good service at Capezio. The owner spends as much time as we need to fit my daughter in dance shoes - especially pointe. If you need good advice or a fitting, I recommend making an appt with the owner- it's very easy.
