So disappointed. Our meals were terrible and we paid $100 for our dinner for 2, and the waitress did not ask ONCE throughout our entire visit how our food was! I ended up paying $30 for a steak I couldn't eat. If you are the waitress who received a $1 on a $101 bill on V-Day....here's why. We made a reservation for Valentines Day. I understand it was very busy, and that it was weekday staff likely working and were overwhelmed. I actually sat there and make excuses for them all night for the terrible service. First, we didn't see anyone for 10 minutes after being seated. Second, the waitress asked us what we want to drink, then says "Wait! Let me get you water to start!" Then shows back up 10 min later with no water to take our drink order. Also, they were walking around with plates yelling "Who has the _____?!" We were there at 6:55 pm and never saw our food until 7:50.... we both ordered the most expensive item- Ribeye. My husband is a steak guru and I'm telling you we paid $29 per plate for a $6 cut of steak smothered in sauce to hide the huge amounts of fat and gristle, not to mention my "medium" steak was blue. Awful. We were not asked ONCE during our meal how our food was, or else I would've asked for something else. Here's the kicker... THE WAITRESS PICKED UP MY PLATE WITH THE ENTIRE STEAK STILL ON IT AND DIDN'T SAY A DAMN WORD. Well then you can kiss your tip goodbye. That was our first and last trip to Capers. read more
