Won't be coming back due to three things... unprofessional staff (gossip etc in front of clients)…read more Stylist is aggressive and harsh when blow drying and doesn't work in a gentle organized manner (tugged at my hair a lot) Last, when paying the lady in the front kept demanding a tip and that each person be tipped and how much and being very persistent about it even when i initially said i will leave a tip. That alone is unprofessional and leaves a bad taste. Tips are not supposed to be demanded or mentioned unless the person says so the demanding culture is ridiculous. Didn't like how my hair came out at the end also.. felt burnt to a crisp

I went to this salon in 2016 for a haircut, color and full highlights. It was a very good…read moreexperience and I liked the way my hair turned out. It was on the PRICEY SIDE but the vibe was very friendly and they were very accommodating and offered me a variety of drinks and snacks. It's a very pleasant atmosphere and the shop is very clean and sleek. I was going to San Diego for a family Thanksgiving dinner and mini vacation. I haven't been back till October 22 nd because I had a special event on October 23rd and couldn't wait for an appointment with the woman who I usually go to. I needed a Haircut and my roots done and it was totally worth the money. Everything I asked for was done EXACTLY THE WAY I REQUESTED AND I LOVE MY NEW HAIRCUT SO MUCH. It was on the PRICEY END OF MY BUDGET BUT THEY DID A GREAT JOB but everything is SO DARN EXPENSIVE THAT I AM UNDECIDED IF I WILL RETURN AGAIN. I give it all high marks for the services, atmosphere and quality. I believe that the prices in Most salons are very high end but one needs to understand that this is 2025 and EVERYTHING IS WAY HIGHER IN PRICE ESPECIALLY IN NEW YORK CITY. You can go cheaper when you are just looking for a mediocre job but you get what you pay for and my hair is my shining star so I will have to pay for excellence. For the haircut and dying my roots with a blowout came out to about $200 dollars plus tips. If I was to have my entire head also highlighted could easily cost me $200 bucks more. Can I/ will I spend $400.00 every 3-4 months and approximately 200 dollars every 6-8 weeks for maintenance? I don't know but they do a very good job so I will have to see my financial situation at the time.

I have been to In The Mixx now a hand full of times and I'm ready to review. The salon is clean,…read morewell lit and overall decorated really beautifully. They are super friendly from the time you walk in. They are always offering a beverage and something to eat. I never experienced the hospitality and professionalism that In the Mixx provides from any other salon! Everyone always has a smile and is ready to have a polite conversation. This salon provides Goldwell products which I find works best with my hair and hair color. I'm a red head. They also specialize in cutting curly hair which not many hair stylists/salons know how to cut and style properly. I must also point out Even the hair washers do an awesome job washing your hair and taking the dye off of your scalp. They give A great massage. Overall, if you are looking for a great place to get your hair cut, colored and you have curly hair you def have to come to In The Mixx! Here's a spirited, whimsical take:…read more I still remember the day I stumbled upon a shimmering Groupon gem--a "Haircut and Blow-Out" waiting for me at Zöe Salon in New Dorp. With a tap, I snapped it up and found myself in the capable hands of Alyson--the moment her shears met my locks, I knew I'd discovered something magical. Ten years later, my loyalty to Alyson (and to Zöe's pristine, spa-like space) is unshakable. Every inch of this salon gleams with care: spotless stations, sterilized tools, and an atmosphere that whispers, "Your hair is in the safest of hands." Today I reunited with my beloved "hairapist," Miss Alyson, and as she coaxed each strand into place, I simultaneously unleashed a torrent of heartfelt confessions. By the time she unveiled my reflection--exactly the look I'd dreamed of--tears of relief and joy were streaming down my face. Ready for a hair revelation? - Choose Zöe Salon for a routine trim that feels like artistry. - Choose Zöe Salon when you crave a bold transformation guided by true masters. - Choose Zöe Salon to discover your forever stylist (spoiler: it will be Alyson--or her talented colleague, Claudia). - Choose Zöe Salon as an investment in yourself and a chance to connect with a caring professional. Beyond the salon chair, here's some extra inspiration: * Pre-appointment ritual: Bring a photo of your dream hairstyle plus one that's totally "you" for Alyson's creative spark. * At-home care: Ask about Zöe's favorite leave-in sprays and serums--your hair will reward you every morning. * Future fun: Keep an eye out on Zöe's socials for seasonal color inspirations--think pastel highlights in spring or rich mahogany for fall. May your next haircut feel less like a chore and more like a celebration of you. Enjoy the glow-up!

The stylists really listen to you and help choose a style based on your outfit and event. Styling 5/5: my hair turned out great. I got a loose curl/beach wave look. I had hours until my event so my stylist made sure to make the curls tighter so they'd fall throughout the day and be loose for the event, rather than loose at the start and flat by the time of my event. Price 5/5: the price is so much better than you'll pay at dry bar or blowout Bar in the city. $30 for a blowout plus $10 tip, and I walked out in exactly 45 minutes after the full wash and blowout.
