Cape Tunes was really wonderful to work with. Scott was able to walk us through all the options and help us step by step with options for everything. We ended up using Cape Tunes for Music & Uplighting which looked amazing and added so much to the visual space. Scott also helped and switched our DJ last minute as our ceremony music fell through but one of his DJs also performs acoustic guitar and we had Tommy set up at the beach and play instrumental guitar while our guests arrived. He even learned our wedding song with only short notice. Tommy also did a great job MC and hosting our reception. He played almost all the songs on our lists and others that were perfect fit for the night. Also major plus is that he said no to some guests that wanted songs from our Do Not Play list. At the very end of the night he let us pick the last few songs and that really was a nice touch and meant a-lot to us. I just want to say I never leave bad reviews but this was the worst experience of my life. The owner was rude and very disrespectful and overall awful to deal with. He needs to learn some grace and kindness when dealing with people. He comes off so entitled and it's such a bad look. I have heard from others who have had the same experience and treatment. Cape Tunes was a great DJ company to work with. They were very responsive and had very simple forms to fill out to make sure everything was as we wanted. DJ Jake was our DJ for the wedding and he was the best! He was early to set up and always checking in with us about timing and making sure things were going well. Everything went so smoothly. He even miraculously played two songs that I had wanted to add to my "must play list" but had forgotten! Everyone danced the night away and kept raving about it. We live in western Mass and we're planning our wedding on cape cod at the sea crest beach resort. We chose to book cape tunes to provide our music. We spoke with Scott the owner who was very informative about what we needed and felt his company offered a quality product at a fair price. As we got closer to the date, a DJ was assigned; Brendan. We spoke on the phone a couple of months before our big day. Let me tell you this guy was the bomb. We gave him a playlist of what we liked, and when we spoke, he was able to get a feel to what we wanted. We hadn't officially met him on the day, but he had everything set up at the ceremony. He moved to the cocktail hour seamlessly. Many songs from what we gave him. Then to the reception, again, easy transition. He got the place rocking! He is a true professional, and LOVES what he does. We had such a great experience with Cape Tunes. This was the first wedding in either of our families, so we were all a little clueless about where to walk and when and what time to do typical wedding things, like cut the cake and give speeches. From my first contact with Cape Tunes, they always responded to messages within 5 minutes. They would answer any questions without making me feel bad for asking a million of them. You fill out a questionnaire of your top song choices, who is giving speeches, etc, and they literally print you an itinerary for your whole day. It was fantastic. Jimmy Caserta was our DJ. He was there on time, had everything set up, conducted the ceremony music flawlessly. But the reception was AMAZING. Not only did he play all the music I requested, he took our friends and family's requests as well. I have been so many places where a DJ won't take requests. From the time he opened the dance floor, people were out dancing. I was one of them! They stayed 2 hours over the usual time (we did pay more for it but it was worth it, as we had guests who danced from 4:30PM-12am). Cannot say enough good things. I want to especially thank Jimmy for playing a song for my grandfather and I to dance to. It was a memory I will cherish forever. read more

DJ Krissy was awesome from the very start of our evening. After the ceremony she briefly pulled us aside away from everyone to give us some tips on how we could make our first dance more interesting and better. Her pointers worked, as we wowed the crowd and got some awesome photos out of it. All of the music played that evening, from the cocktail hour, through dinner, and into the dancing portion of the evening was great. Although we had a small group of less than 40 people of different ages and musical tastes, everyone thoroughly enjoyed what was being played. One thing really stood out on that evening, and that was when DJ Krissy started to play "Lose Yourself" by Eminem. She had heard during the vows how big of fans of Eminem my wife and I were. She came out and handed both Tarryn and myself a mic, and asked us to rap the song. Every single person at our wedding LOVED the entire song as my wife and I rapped the lyrics, and were so into it the whole time. I am pretty sure all 34 people there recorded that song. This was not planned for the evening, and took everyone including myself by surprise. But this surprise was awesome and made the evening that much better. DJ Krissy was able to get everyone on the dance floor when some people started to slow down, but I'd have to say, besides drink or bathroom breaks, people were dancing. Overall, the experience with DJ Krissy was perfect. The songs, the flow of the evening, the creative mix between songs, and even the decibel level, were all perfect. We had friends there asking us who she was so they could book her for a future wedding, and even had one of my best friends himself who got married a few months earlier say "She was way better than the DJ I hired!". We are so incredibly happy we went with Cape Tunes and got DJ Krissy. I would recommend everyone to hire her for her work if they really wanted to have the best possible DJ perform at their event. read more

Our daughter's wedding reception was perfect. Of course everyone thinks that. Scott from Cape Tunes really was a very large part of that perfection. His choices of songs and control of the dance floor was just right. The music transitioned seamlessly from one song to another. The dance floor was filled the entire night. This review is very very overdue! Kevin Cain was the DJ and MC for our special day last summer at the Holden Inn in Wellfleet, MA. We had a few calls with him earlier in the process and he got an idea of what my now husband and I were looking for in our taste of music and how to make our wedding guests dance the entire evening! He was AMAZING! We had people coming up to us saying that it was the best wedding music playlist they have ever heard. We told Kevin that we wanted a dance party, and he P-A-C-K-E-D dance floor the entire evening! My grandfather danced so hard, that he lost his hearing aid! (he found it the next day, thank goodness!) My partner and I got married this past weekend on 7/30 in Provincetown, MA and used Cape Tunes as our DJ for the evening. Eric Wilder was very nice and did play a wide variety of music and requests. Our guests seemed to have a great time. He also was able to arrange for one of our guests to sing during my wife and grandfathers dance. There were a few things I wish had gone differently. He did not play any of the songs on our must play list which was disappointing. He also did not announce our last song at the end of the night so my wife and I were the only ones dancing on the dance floor to end our celebration. After a friend/my original dj backed out, we went back to the drawing board for a dj. We emailed back and forth with 3 djs but decided to use Cape Tunes. Scott the owner was super quick to respond, sometimes within even an hour. We had the option to pick our dj but the price was more (especially for Sean/Keith) so since we were on a strict budget and the dj was more than what were expecting to pay we decided to go with the cheapest option of whichever dj they choose for us. Day of: Our DJ was Gary. He did both our ceremony and reception. Ceremony music was perfect. There was a wireless mic. My one complaint was that our song we were leaving to didnt come on until we had already left and then there was no music after. Our reception area was beautiful with the uplighting. I strongly recommend getting it. Cape tunes takes care of everything from set up to breakdown. Reception music for the beginning was great, but Gary started to go downhill here. There were some things that we noticed but our guest did (hence the 4 not 5) On my notes for them ahead of time I had mentioned that father daughter mother son dances may or may not happen because of issues with my dad. Day of we told him no go..after our cake cutting (while there was still cake on my face) he called for father/daughter dance. (My Bridal party told him that there was still cake I was dealing with and then the request never happened). He played the garter toss song during the bouquet toss and never had the garter toss (which was weird). Since the sox were in play offs we requested to have the score announce but that never happened. My brother who was in the bridal party requested 2 songs neither was played...To me it's the little things to get the 5 Overall I would recommend Cape Tunes whole heartily, but I would pay a little more money for a specific dj. read more

I can't thank Cape Tunes enough, specifically Scott, for playing a huge role in how perfect my wedding day went on April 30, 2016 at the Brookside Club. Right from the first initial contact, he was extremely accommodating, helpful, and willing to work with me on any ideas I had. He answered my e-mails very quckly and always gave a detailed answer of exactly the information I was looking for. When my wedding day came, I was so impressed with the professionalism that he displayed. Once we were finished with our formal pictures, he immediately greeted my husband and I as well as our families and wedding party. He went over the whole introduction process with us and explained how things were going to go. He then lined us up and went over correct pronunciations of everyones names. The music he played was exactly what I was looking for and did and amazing job keeping everyone entertained the whole night. We also got a Photo Booth through them and it was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. We had a small issue with my husbands pants. They ripped right in the crotch and a few of our friends were in the bathroom quickly sewing them. This of course happened right after the mother/son dance and right before the father/daughter dance. Scott was great at playing a filler song and helping us get everything situated while we got his pants under control. It was actually pretty funny! He took so much stress off of my shoulders which you all know is so important while planning a wedding. I seriously can't say enough about these guys and highly recommend them!
