UPDATE: I finally got my appointment yesterday and went in to the Sandwich office. Deb could not have been nicer or more helpful. I had not been in the office there since I first got my machine in 2017. She was the only person physically in the office! Some telework but like many companies, lost a good amount of employees. My sense was the majority of the problems lies with AdaptHealth and the cust service side of the house. Still unacceptable for a company today, but wanted to be fair and update my review based on my visit. **** What happened to this company?? Once they started with the Adapt Health affiliation they have just been awful. I got my cpap in sandwich about 6 years ago and they were great. Now, I call them today because I am having problems with my machine and they said "someone will call you back to make an appointment for you" stugotz. I also told the CR that i read on the site I re-order my supplies from that I am eligible for a machine replacement after 5 years. She told "yes, but we need a letter from your doctor". For what???? You KNOW i am still using it because i fill out the questionnaire before I order my supplies. I dont have a pulmonary dr, my gp referred me for a sleep study direct with Cape Medical. What the hell do i need a note from my doctor for?? to say i still need it??? Or, maybe I decided when I woke up this morning that I had a good scam in mind. Ask for a replacement machine and then what, sell it on the black market??? Wish I had another choice but I think I am stuck with these idiots. Obviously they dont read these reviews, they are horrible. read more

Before Cape Medical Supply was taken over by Adapt Health, they were very good. Adapt Health is absolutely the worst! I had been getting my CPAP supplies from them for 10 years. In mid-July we had a power surge during the night that killed my machine. I made many phone calls to Adapt Health, and just kept getting the runaround. Nobody knew anything about the error code that came up on the screen. I kept getting shuffled to different departments, or being told someone would get back to me, which never happened. After 6 weeks of trying to get them to help me, my doctor switched me to a different supplier, and I had my new machine within a week. DO NOT USE ADAPT HEALTH!!!! read more

Customer service/billing is aweful. I get a different answer every time I call and the service reps ate rude. Hold time is always more than 30 minutes to speak to someone read more

I have had nothing but negative experiences with Cape Medical Supply/Adapt Health LLC with regards to getting a CPAP machine from them. Before I picked up my machine, I asked them how much it would cost me, and they told me one figure. I would then later find out that they had given me incorrect information about how much my insurance would cover, because they sent me 3 invoices a week for varying amounts, for several months. I finally decided I wanted to return my CPAP machine, so I called their number on Monday 8/26/24 and had to be transferred around to three or four different people before they finally said they would send me a return shipping label. Over the course of the next week and a half, I received emails, texts, and even a phone call, reminding me to reorder more supplies for my machine. But no shipping label. Finally today, 9/5/24, I received another text telling me they would be charging me another $28. I called them AGAIN, and had to speak to two different people AGAIN to remind them I had already asked them to send me a return shipping label, and to get them to not charge me AGAIN, a week and a half after I had already told them I intended to discontinue service. I hate being rude to customer service workers, as I myself have worked in customer service and phone support, but this is the absolute worst service I have ever received and I am completely outraged. read more

Worst service ever. There is no one of. The employees of their customer service are shirking responsibilities and not wanting to work. If you're unsure if CPAP treatment is right for you, take my advice and do not fall for their "no obligation trial period" of the CPAP machine. Complete scam company - I went to the hospital for a dislocated shoulder. The hospital gave me a cheap nylon sling which I assumed was covered since no one informed me of the cost of it when I was checking out. I paid my exorbitant copay and my insurance paid the rest. Since the sling was so cheap and uncomfortable (gave me a neck issue) I bought a sling on Amazon of way better quality for $20 and wore that. A month later, I got a random $99 bill for the nylon sling at the hospital from Cape Medical Supply. When I called, they said they didn't have my original bill and didn't have my date of service on file and that the hospital should've paid for it. I said to document that call so I'd stop getting a bill - they still sent me a bill monthly for 6 months which I ignored at their direction and then it went to collections - completely ridiculous. Sorry I'm not contributing to your 90% profit margin on a crappy Indian-made nylon sling that you forced on me at a hospital - get a new business model! read more

Wow! I just received a notice that the billing company could not process my payments any longer. When I called Cape Medical, they couldn't explain it after looking at my records, and transferred me to their billing company. After they checked my records, they told me that my machine had been paid off probably 14 months ago! They are going to send me a refund check. How could I have been paying them for this amount of time, you would think they would notice this and let me know! I received no notice(s) whatsoever! Poor business practice I would say. And thank you for the billing company figuring this out! read more

I gave them 1 star because I couldn't give any less... Customer service is awful. I ordered supplies as I always had when they were owned by Caoe Medical but this last time they were quadruple what I normally paid. I called customer service and asked them why these were so expensive and the respond from the representative was they won't be that expensive next time. I told her I wanted to return the supplies that have not been open and I was told I could not return. My only option was to pay and I don't want to pay the ridiculous amount and wanted to return unopened... so now I'm stuck with a bill I am not going to pay and supplies that will just sit there because I don't need them. Adapt is the WORST company to deal with.... read more

This is my first review on Yelp. I usually don't air my frustrations online, but I must make an exception. I just spent 75 minutes on the phone with 8 different online representatives. On December 29th, 2023 I ordered new CPAP supplies. All my insurance deductibles had been met for 2023 so I expected my supplies would be free. I confirmed with the resupply phone representative that this would be the case and the supplies would be mailed in a day or two. Fast forward to January 8th, 2024. The supplies had still not arrived so I called Cape Medical. Representative #1: After confirming my name and birthdate I was told the shipment was on hold because I owed $250. When I said all my deductibles had been met and the ordered should be free to me I was transferred to the Finance department. Representative #2: After confirming my name and birthdate (again) I was asked if this was the first time I ordered from Cape Medical. I said I ordered my CPAP machine years ago and had several resupplies. After being asked to provide my medical insurance information I was told this was a resupply issue. I was transferred back to the Resupply department. Representative #3: After confirming my name and birthdate (again) I was told there was an insurance issue because Cape Medical couldn't confirm I was using my CPAP machine. When I asked why someone from CM didn't contact me about this "problem" they said I was sent two emails. I told them I never received any emails in both my inbox and spam folders. The representative them said they called me twice and left messages on January 1st and January 5th. There were never any messages left on my phone. I also thought to myself would someone be actually calling me on New Years Day? I was then transferred to the Compliance Department. Representative #4: After confirming my name and birthdate (again) I was told Cape Medical had not been receiving compliance data from my CPAP machine. I told her that I saw my ENT doctor two months ago and his data showed 100% compliance. She then said CP's service had recently moved from 3g to 5g and that I had to take my machine's SD card to the nearest CP office. When I suggested a customer shouldn't have to jump through these hoops to get supplies she said there is nothing more her department could do for me. Transferred again without knowing what department I was headed to. Representative #5: Back to Cape Medical's general phone line with its 10 minute wait time. After confirming my name and birthdate (again) I was told to provide my account number. I told them I had no idea. Eventually they found me and said they needed the serial number off the machine. I told them I needed to go upstairs to the machine, but reminded them they should have that information on the account since I had purchased my machine from them. I gave them the serial number and was put on hold. Minutes later I was told they couldn't access my CPAP machine and couldn't help me. Transferred again. Representative #6: I never really knew what department this was. It was a foreign call center with many conversations in the background. After giving my name and birthdate (again) I was told I wasn't a current Cape Medical customer. When I told her I had already been confirmed five times she tried two more times to no avail. I hung up the phone in frustration after spending 52 minutes on the line. Representative #7: I called Cape Medical for the second time and ended up in the Resupply department for the third time. After confirming my name and birthdate (again) I briefly explained my previous phone experiences. I was put on hold until another person picked up. Representative #8: This was the first time I didn't have to confirm my name and birthday! She had me go upstairs again to recite the CPAP machine's serial number. I was then put on hold. After a few minutes I went back downstairs to my office chair. As soon as I sat down she came back on saying she needed the machine's three-digit device number. I walked back upstairs and provided the number. After a few more minutes she came back saying I was 100% compliant. The problem had now been solved, but I had to pay $250 for my CPAP supplies since it was a new insurance year. When I told her the original representative said the order was entered into their system as an 2023 order she said my supplies could not be backdated. Furthermore, half my frustrations should be directed towards my insurance company. When offered the choice between paying $250 or cancelling the order I decided to cancel. After 75 minutes and 8 conversations I was not willing to give Cape Medical my business. The conversation ended with me saying I would like a conversation with the manager at some point. The representative said that all conversations are recorded and that I should expect a call back. If I do get a call back I will update my comments, but I am not holding my breath. read more

This company has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Since they have been associated with Adapt Health, their service has gone downhill rapidly. I have been a customer since 2012. I have consistently used a CPAP and received my supplies from them. This year I have been waiting over 2 months for a simple CPAP supply order because they "need information from my Doctor." My Doctor's office has sent the information 3 times with confirmation that Cape Medical has received it. It's still not enough. They won't answer my questions, and continually placate me with "we are working on it". I have escalated to management several times, they have said they would return my call with answers. I am appalled at the evident scam this company is. I have been forced to pay them $300 as a buy out of the cpac machine my husband is using. They reported to Medicare lack of use and even after calling Medicare and I finding that they were paid for invoice disputed, they continued to indicate lack of use on average by my husband going forward. Called our sleep center and told them what is happening. My husband was in hospital during the time indicated following. When out, used religiously after and we noted machine did not register proper usage on hours. ,No one would work with us on this and then we received an outrageous bill claiming since not covered by insurance, we must pay. So when called, they stated you can buy out machine for $300. I wonder how many seniors they have done this to??!! read more

Initial meeting in Sandwich facility with their technician for CPAP went well. He was knowledgeable and clear. Subsequent interactions for apparatus were difficult, with multiple phone calls (my allergist kindly faxed the prescription THREE times over a month), long waits for supplies, and little or no follow-up. This company sucks big time. Do not use them!! They gave me a CPAP machine 4 months ago. The CPAP worked fine for the first 3 months then it started to fall apart! First the heated tube stopped working. They sent me a new one that was not for my CPAP machine. Then they sent me the right one. everything was fine for a few days. Then my machine stopped working altogether!! they wanted me to take time off work and take it to their office to trouble shoot. I said can't we try and trouble shoot it and send me new parts. the only thing i could think of was the power supply had to be replaced. Just about 3 weeks later i get a new power supply but my machine will still not work!! No support at all. So now I'm waiting for them to send me an appointment so they can trouble shoot it! So now I have to lose work time and go out of my way to their office to trouble shoot my CPAP. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are awful to work with! You call and they send you around and around to different apartments which none have any expertise with CPAP machines! please do not use this company you will regret it in the long run!! would have given them a minus 5 starts if i could have!!! I was misled about my monthly bill. Then when you attempt to contact them it's impossible. I paid a deductible for 777 and was told to my face that there would be a monthly bill for 80 dollars for monitoring and what not. The last two months I received a bill for 394. i showed them the agreed payment from my first meeting. The billing department started to double talk and then sent me to another part of their company who couldn't answer my questions. This is absolutely deceptive and unethical behavior. Sadly I was referred by my pulmonologist to this place. I am actively seeking a reputable place that tells me exactly what i will pay and what it would cost me with no hidden fees. I do not recommend this place to anyone, our life's are in their hands and this is absurd how they treat us... I have good insurance too, I can only imagine what they do people with no or less insurance. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! If anyone from CapeCod would like to dispute this you have all my information and we can discuss. FYI- the same machine they are hoping to get 4000+ out of me cost 1225 at regular CPAP shops. If I could give negative stars, I would. This is described as their "flagship store" yet they only have about 20 products on the shelves in a small area. I came in here with directions from my physical therapist to get a specific product that she described in detail. At first I thought the place was deserted, but at length (and with a sigh) a frowning woman got up and walked over to help me. I forgot the name of the item, but after describing it at length to the grouchy store clerk and pointing out what looked EXACTLY like my verbal description on the wall, she informed me in no uncertain terms that I was incorrect and that was NOT what I was looking for. When I repeated that I was pretty sure it was, she just looked at me with pure condescension and replied slowly, as you would speak to a child, that it was not. She basically wouldn't LET me buy it! She then had 0 advice on what I was looking for. Had she not "helped" me, I would have probably spent $30 on what I needed. Instead, I spent $0, and drove all the way to WestGate pharmacy in Hyannis where they are always nice, helpful, courteous, and well-stocked, and got the same exact thing. read more

THE worst company to deal with. So much I can say about how unprofessional and rude they are. For instance, cold calling you and asking fo r your personal information such as full name, date of birth, etc. What planet do these people live on? Scammers are everywhere, I can't imagine many people have a clue and they get this info quickly. I love it when a copy calls like this one, says, Hi My name is Randy and I'm with blah blah, could I get your full name and dob? NO. You can NOT. Randy with no last name. I called for medical equipment which was "placed an order" waiting 1 week. Got a phone call. Life always serves up changes over time. This once outstanding small local company in Sandwich served our medical needs for years. A company where you could walk thru the door and receive excellent sleep therapy equipment and qualified technician support from a therapist. Over the past few years we have watched this company totally lose customer service and support in just about all of their functional areas. Incredible problems with bill payments being locked in a lockbox someplace down south...we know we have paid.....yet we start receiving dunning notices? Try to call someone? Forget it. They have joined the "over one hour wait" companies that take forever to speak to a real person....no longer a local company. We are cutting the ties to this organization and I will be informing all of my veteran friends that THIS new Cape Medical acquired by someone called AdaptHealth does not provide the support we need and obviously, the customer support is gone. They will no longer be my go-to supplier for my needs. Actually, we were never informed of the takeover by AdaptHealth and I wonder if my military medical coverage plan can even use them. I will follow up on that myself. Stay away folks, stay very far away. Senior Citizens need better treatment than what Cape Medical has morphed into. read more

Absolutely horrible... I called a month ago to return my CPAP and they said they'd send out a return box with pre-paid shipping label. I waited A MONTH for it to arrive and when it didn't, I called them. They said they had no record of the request... So I tried calling them again 3 days ago. Can't get anyone on the phone at all, but they keep calling me EVERYDAY SINCE trying to "resupply my CPAP". When I call back (they leave messages on my cell phone. I work a full time job and can't answer whenever feel like calling!) the phone tree sends me everywhere but where I need to be. After playing phone tag for the last 3 days, I was on the phone for over an hour today (at work!) and got sent to the Diabetic Department twice, transferred to the Mid Atlantic branch (not the Cape Cod one), hung up on 4 times and then finally got someone at the parent company to stay on the line with me while they got a hold of my "local branch". I'm sure they're understaffed, but what should be a local company has been bought out by a national conglomerate and now it's impossible to actually get anything done. 99% of the people I spoke with were ignorant call center drones that were only capable of pushing a few buttons on their playskool telephone, the most common of which was the "transfer" button that sends the caller into limbo for all eternity.... Are you having difficulty adjusting to your mask? Make an appointment to see Rick T in the Hanover, MA office. I had the misfortune of starting the CPAP program when the pandemic prevented me from going to an office to learn about which mask would be best for me. Instead, I received descriptions over the phone, which really did not give me enough information to make a good choice. I struggled with the mask I was sent, which made me feel like I was being asphyxiated; I felt that I would never be able to adjust to it. Instead of giving up, I requested an in person appointment and fortunately had Rick as my advisor. Together, we came to the conclusion that the mask I had chosen via phone was not the best choice for me. He put in a request for permission to give me a different one he thought would work better for me. While we waited for confirmation, he gave me lots of tips about the equipment. Permission was received and under his wing, I calmed down and began to relax and learn how to use the equipment. He is very knowledgeable, a good teacher, and he has a nice sense of humor. I went home with the new mask much more comfortable and confident and have been doing quite well, waking up feeling more rested than I have in years! read more

I was really pleased that Cape medical supply assisted me in getting my CPAP machine & after the initial assistance it all ended. I tried on a few occasions to make an appointment to have my machine adjusted, but they were always booked. The major issue that I'm running into as I have Blue Cross and Blue Shield. I Was told after the first 90 days of using my CPAP that I don't have to worry too much about how often are used it etc. The company really put me in a bind because A month went by where I wasn't comfortable in my bed and was sleeping in our guest room on and off. The result was a month of their regular CPAP use. My Insurance company has refused to pay for my CPAP moving forward or any supplies thanks to really bad information from Cape Medical. The other thing I really miss about this Company is how they push supplies that you don't at much higher prices than you can find on the Internet for full price. Very disappointed with this company and I would absolutely not recommend them. read more

I was directed to Cape Medical Supply by my doctor after I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. My initial meeting with the sales rep for the CPAP was good. He was thorough, and explained the billing etc. My experience after that has been a nightmare. I have had my CPAP for 6 months. At first Cape Medical Supply called me every day after the first 30 days to purchase new supplies. It was being billed through my flex card, which I guess was stopped because they needed a receipt. I called CMS to explain the situation, they said. "No problem". A week later my CPAP broke, so I called for a new piece. I was told, sure we will send it right out. 5 to 7 days for shipping. Tried to expedite faster, but they couldn't. After a week, I called to check on my order. I was told, that my bill was delinquent, and they couldn't send anything out. I wasn't called prior to that. I I then fixed the billing issue with the flex card, and ordered. 7 days later, still no merchandise. I was told it wasn't cleared by my insurance yet. All in all it took over a month to get my supplies, and never heard an apology. I will never do business with this company again. I will make sure my doctor knows the situation, and would encourage anyone to stay away from them. This is the first really bad review I have written. Anybody with a CPAP understands that you can't go without it for almost a month. I'm still missing a part that they didn't send me. Horrible customer service Mike read more
