This towing company went above and beyond with towing my 2021 Dodge Durango today. I used them through AAA. I couldn't use the local AAA Company for personal reasons. They came an hour away to pick up my car and to take it to my Dealership in Mt.Holly. The guy by the name of Tow Truck Chuck was the best all around. Great guy, friendly, Professional and making sure my car was handled with care Chuck also sent me pictures of where he took my car, paperwork, car pictures and the envelope with the key fob in the drop box. A good place for emergency repairs but did not have parts needed for my vehicle. I was on vacation but had to wait most of the week without transportation. The staff was professional and helpful. Came to them with a minor problem(windshield fluid wasn't coming out) Scheduled an appointment for 06/08 at 9.30am They told me they will call me in 30 minutes to one hour to come pick it up... Nobody called so 2 hours later i came there to find out that nothing has been done and i have to pay 151$ "checking fee" Ridiculous fee for a service that wasn't even provided! My husband stopped here to gas up before leaving Cape May after a great vacation. When he pulled in he got out of the car and was standing to stretch his legs. At the same time I went to use the restroom. A woman who looked like a man said to him"why are you getting out of the car" in a nasty tone. My husband said I am just stretching my legs and my wife is using the rest room. Why do you have to be so nasty? She said "you're not getting any gas here--go somewhere else.!" What a miserable cranky old witch. It ruined our last impression of Cape May. We went on route 9 to a Shell station owned by the Mancuso family where we were allowed to stretch our legs without being treated like we are in a concentration camp. Right as you leave CM you can stop and get gas. They have a "Captive" audience in that everyone who leaves CM must pass it but that's ok. Whomever owns it keeps it nice and the gas prices are reasonable compared to the gas stations just a half a mile up the road, just before the Garden State Parkway. So if you are leaving Cape May I suggest you gas up here and save a tad before the others up the road. That's what I do :-) read more

I've given these guys several chances for repairs, and they always seem to come up short. I needed to have a tire pressure monitor sensor replaced on each of my two cars. On both, the low pressure light was still on when I picked up the car. I was told 'it will go off in a few miles' but never did. They were able to reprogram one vehicle, and haven't been able to fix the other one so far. Oh yes- they tripled the price of the part from the retail price at AutoZone. I also had them do an oil change on my son's car, and turns out they overfilled the crankcase. We're breaking up, guys- it's not me- it's you. read more

I am not sure what happened with the other two reviews on this site, but I have been using this place for several years now and have no complaints. Every time there has been a problem (with parts needed or whatever) they have called me to get my ok. Once when I needed the car the very next day, one of the mechanics even stayed late to finish the work - and picked me up at my house, to boot. NOT HONEST! Unfortunately the vehicle had to be towed here after breaking down. I asked for a diagnosis and was told it would be $40.00 however they charged over $100.00. I had the vehicle towed to another repair shop, had to pay another tow fee but no way I was going to let them work on it and get RIPPED OFF again. read more

This company is a disgrace they lie they cheat and they steal from anybody they can possibly rip off. My truck broke down and needed to be towed they started working on it without my authorization. When I refused to pay a 2000 dollar bill for something that I never asked them to do they held my vehicle for several weeks. The vehicle was still broken and they wanted me to pay that bill even though they had not even fixed it. until my attorney finally sent them several letters and they agreed to release the vehicle otherwise they were going to be sued for a very large sum of money. They are known by the locals to be crooks and they have a reputation for ripping people off. If you are unfortunate enough to need services for towing I would highly recommend asking for the other company as this place has the contract through the city for all towing job you can however request to have a different company tow your vehicle if needed. If they tow your vehicle for a parking violation make sure you check it thoroughly as they are also known to break into vehicles that they tow. Somebody recently had their vehicle towed because they parked in a illegal area accidentally and when they picked up their vehicle they found it had been broken into by Riggins and the hood was popped there would be no reason for Riggins to pop the hood and break into a vehicle that was towed for parking violation. Be very careful when dealing with them and know you're rights. Do not let them over charge you for towing or for mechanical work especially if you did not authorize it. I would not recommend using them if you can avoid it. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I CANT SAY IT ENOUGH! I BROKE DOWN (8/22/16) WHILE on vacation and called AAA. I told the woman on the phone I wanted it towed 7 miles away to grande rio(where we were staying) and she said that it was fine. The tow DRIVER came and already Had his mind set on where HE wanted to take my car. RIGGINS. I already knew this place was shady by the way the tow DRIVER demanded I leave it there. Anyway. My husband is a mechanic and he knew right away it was the timing belt/chain that broke. We got a call about a day later saying it was going to cost $500.00 for the repair. Timing chains are about $200.00.... Doesnt cost 300$ for an hour repair. We needed it fixed right away so against out better judgment we said okay do the work. The next day we get a call saying the water pump needed to be replaced which caused the chain to seize up and break... Anyway new estimate was $700.00.. During the 2 WEEKS of them "trying to locate a water pump" we heard NOTHING and every time we called they "KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT AND WILL HAVE SOMEONE CALL US BACK" which never did. They called us on(9/1/16) and told us "idle is rough" which makes no sense... Why would that be? Unless if they didn't fix the timing belt right. (9/3/16) we arrived at RIGGINS and was mocked by employees in a different language. Come on- we all have experienced this one time or another- the 2 men who's job was to fill gas tanks were pointing and laughing while talking to each other in a different language. What a joke. I asked the man behind the counter "is this how you run a business?" he replied "I know nothing about that" his name was Alex and I'm pretty sure he's right. They have ZERO knowledge in customer service. Anyway. Got into the car and it barely runs idle before shutting off. They also said it was the carburetor but cars have been fuel injected since the 90's LMAO how is that POSSIBLE? WE DONT HAVE ONE TO REPLACE!!! After $700 later... Should not be running this way. Before the belt/chain broke there was no issues with my car. What a joke! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. I WILL BE CONTACTING ABC. NBC. ANY AND ALL NEWS STATIONS. ALSO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, TRIPLE AAA, AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN INCLUDING IMMGRATION- IF THEY ARE LEGEL- THEN SO BE IT. BUT I BET THEY AREN'T! I don't care how long they have been open... Terrible Terrible Terrible! Im not a local and I was in an emergency and had to use them. They quoted me for under a hundred dollars. 200 dollars later they still did not fix the problem. I had to wait two weeks and pay an additional 400. Everytime I call they are extremely rude to me. They all tell you different information, no communication. All together a awful experience. Today 7/11/14 @5:55pm one of your tow truck drivers pulled out in front of me coming out of KMart heading north on 47. I slammed on my breaks and quickly jerked the wheel to avoid hitting the back end of him. I was angry but decided to just let it go... Until I pull up to the light (by mr tire and the post office) and the driver proceeds to pull up next to me throw his hands in the air(like I was the one at fought) and yell at me to pay attention to the road!! The driver was a younger white male medium built had black hair and scruffy facial hair! I've used AAA before and they've sent this company out to assist me and never had a problem! Drivers before were very friendly and helpful but now I'll think twice before using them again in fear of getting this guy!! Wow! Still upset and will be lucky if I don't call AAA to report him!!! read more

These guys are the best! Contrary to what the other two reviewers say, they absolutely know what they are talking about and took care of me when my truck broke down on my trip down to Cape May with my family. They had a full lot of cars and took the time to check my truck out to make sure it was safe for my family and I drive in back to our home in New York. They are not in any way trying to get money out of you. They helped us out right away and we have been taking our cars there every summer after that. Don't let the other reviewers fool you, this place is absolutely the best and the owner is very educated (not only in this field, but in others as well. He's very bright). AMAZING PLACE! read more
