They were very nice, but couldn't even see us till the next day to evaluate it and even then it would probably have taken a few days before they could fit us in. They are very nice and do good work, but they're always so busy. Just hard in an emergency. My wife gave Whalen's a call next. I think they had really helped us out by fixing a nail in the tire the same day, a couple of years ago. She took the car to Whalen's mid afternoon on Thursday and by about noon on Friday it was fixed! It wasn't cheap, but it got done and much faster than we could've hoped for. They are family owned now third generation owned. We really like this place and highly recommend them.

Their "3 Dog Night" event held annually in October helped support the Humane Society of Ocean City and guests and their pets were able to receive free on-site microchipping, tags & engraving, a special gift and dinner. How cool! Francey, the Director of Advertising and Community Relations, reached out to us letting us know of all their wonderful events, including those that are dog friendly! In addition to monthly events, they give back to the community and are launching their annual initiative to vote for your favorite Southern New Jersey Charitable Organization. For every vehicle purchased or leased, they will make a donation to one of four hometown charitable organizations selected by their customers. And, best of all, if you are in the market for a car, your dog can shop with you in the showrooms as they know how important all members of the family should be in the decision making process. Choose from many new and pre-owned models of Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Subaru, and Volkswagen. They even have a service and parts department to keep your vehicle in tip-top shape. They are the oldest continuous family run dealership in NJ and even deliver cars! While visiting the dealership, we met Jeremy, the Sales Manager at Subaru, who was so friendly and gave Brie so much attention. We even met a customer in the parking lot and she raved about the sales team and how friendly and non-pressure they are, so that is a big plus when looking to purchase a vehicle.

As the weeks went by the tick got more obvious and at one point my truck went into limp mode but eventually came out of it. With that chain of events I scheduled a service appointment at my local dealer, turns out I have a faulty lifter, bad cam and a piece of lifter somewhere in the engine and with that the engine will need to be replaced. Major inconvenience but not a huge deal because the truck had a one year warranty, or so I thought. After going back and forth with the servicing dealer and Burke it turns out Burke never registered the truck with the warranty company so technically no warranty coverage. After calling Burke and asking them WTF, they said they would enroll it in the warranty program, that was 6 days ago and my truck still isn't enrolled. To make it worse they suck at returning phone calls or following through with sending emails they said they would send and the best part is I'm still without a vehicle and the servicing dealer cant even order parts or begin repair until the warranty is active.

After paying them an ABSURD $1800 because we were out of state and needed to get back home, the alternator failed again a week later because whatever idiot mechanic put it in never tightened the bolt that connects the battery to the alternator, which caused it to arc and melt, resulting in the alternator burning up again. The only in house shop through their warranty company was 40 miles away, and when I called them it turns out they aren't even associated with the warranty company at all. So AAA is currently fixing what Hi-Tech Auto couldn't, and my wife is without a car once again. If you want to pay an arm and a leg for unreliable service, and no help whatsoever when your car breaks again due to their lack of professionalism and checking their work, then this would be the right place for you. Next day I had a complete flat because there was no air seal between the rim and the tire. Pure negligents that can result in a big accident on the highway. Why would you put a new tire on a rusted wheel without cleaning off the rust? He was defensive and rude and asked me to pay more money. I payed more, but he did not clean off the rust, I had to go to a different mechanic. Safety is more important. He kept advising me to leave my old rusted wheel at his shop and order a new one. I realized he wanted to sell it as a used one to someone else. Negligent and dishonest. I also asked him to change my transmission oil. Over the phone he told me $170 total. But when I got the bill, it was much higher the original price. To the $130 labor He added another $90 which he "forgot" to include in the price over the phone. Plus $29 fee for using soap and paper towels at his shop. Now looking at the way he fixed my flat tire, I am afraid about the quality of the transmission oil and filter change. AVOID THIS SHOP
