Cape Horn Estate is a gorgeous setting for any wedding! We were so excited to have our daughter's wedding there. The owners Hani & Hoda were so sweet and helpful throughout the whole process! Everything was perfect and all our guests raved over how gorgeous and intimate the venue was. It has it all, a beautiful bridal suite, grooms room, indoor/outdoor spaces, full kitchen, indoor bathrooms, bar, stunning landscaping, water features, an abundance of string lights throughout the grounds, plenty of parking, and a view that will take your breath away. I highly recommend taking a tour, you will be awe struck by the beautiful grounds and the stunning view.

This wedding venue is simply gorgeous! The views are breath taking. I witnessed one of best friends get married to the love of her life here. It was a great fun wedding with an even better reception. The bridal suite was spacious and perfect for us gals to get ready in. We loved having a nice spot with AC to stay cool while we anxiously waited for the event to start. The event was breath taking and effortlessly done. If your considering getting married here you should definitely visit for a tour because pictures just don't do it justice. Also just be mindful of the train that comes and goes and know that once the silence is over, we didn't even notice the train that runs by. Also, at first I wasn't thrilled about their only being 2 bathrooms for the whole event including bride and groom but it didn't turn out to be an issue. :)

When taking first time visitors out to this area, we often drive from Portland on the Washington side to take in views of Mt. Next we pass through Cascade Locks, we stop at the Marine Park to use the clean facilities and enjoy a picnic. There is plenty of room to spread out and it's never crowded. There is a small playground for the kids, lots of open space, and a boat launch and Marina. The park is well maintained and so peaceful.

Park amenities include a children's playground, open lawns, picnic tables, clean public restrooms, a gravelly beach, boat launch ramp, and marina. We often drive out to just sit and watch the windsurfers, various birds and boats go in and out. Unique views of the Bridge of the Gods is just downriver too. The Marine Park offers a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for special events for groups of 5 to 500. Such a nice place for a birthday party, baby shower, family reunion or even a wedding. Make sure to tour the Historical Museum while you're there and see the first steam locomotive of the Oregon Territory, the Oregon Pony. The Marine Park also serves as the meeting and launching point for the Columbia Gorge Racing Association's sailing events, and racing takes place in the waters upriver from the beach at the east end of the Park. Check their webpage for next year's Regatta in July. This is world-class sailboat racing in a world-famous big wind venue and not to be missed. Many professional sailors say it's "the best place in the world to sail."

Tap is awesome, especially a handful of IPAs. I was in with friends from mountain biking in the area and we were hungry and thirsty. IPA was great. The Wagyu burger with Gruyere cheese and caramelized onions was big and delicious - put your bib on. It's gonna get a little messy and that's the way I like it. it was hot so we sat in cool bar with a cold frosty IPA. Mountain View across the Columbia river. Three stories - lots of places to sit inside. Second story deck outside but a little hot this afternoon. I bet the evening is awesome. Great craft brews and sandwiches. Seating is mainly on the rooftop where you get a nice overlook of the Cascade Locks neighborhood. The beer list is mainly handcrafted beers from Oregon so if you're looking for domestic items such as Coors light or Bud light, this ain't your location. We did some Kolschs and the Day Hike Pale Ales. The Pale Ale is tasty and easy to drink. My sister likes the Kolsch although it didn't appeal to my girlfriend as it was a bit sour for her. She did like the Pale Ale so I had to order another one for her. As for food, I went with the farmers salad and the wings while my sister got the classic cheeseburger and my girlfriend went with the chicken sandwich. The food came out pretty quick and we dug in. The salad was bigger than I expected and I loved the beets and bacon with the goat cheese mixed in. As for the wings, I could've done without those as they came out dry and tough. The sauce is pretty good (hazy ipa buffalo) which I'm sure would amplify the flavor of the wings if they weren't so stiff. My girlfriend and sister both enjoyed their chicken sandwich and burger. I probably should've ordered one of those cause they looked tasty. My nephew ordered the kids chicken tenders w/ fries. He ate them and didnt' complain which is a good thing. The location also hosts events such as weddings and engagement parties; not surprised given the views of the area and the access to the beer. Apparently there's also a Gorges Beer location directly in Southeast Portland if you don't want to go all the way to Cascade Locks. This spot is alright; my nephew enjoys it here so I'll probably be here again when we visit the Hatchery next time we come.

For starters Jami is beyond amazing, she is a fun, upbeat girl who knew how to take care of everything. She is super responsive to my messages and really flexible with times for letting me visit. (BTW her dogs are the cutest!) She was open to all my ideas and had great suggestions of her own. The property itself is gorgeous, warm and inviting. When I first walked in, I felt like you didn't have to add a thing and it would be a beautiful wedding. The property is beautifully landscaped with lots of adorable Pintrest-worthy touches (Welcome to the Wedding signs, ect). The view from the windows is jaw-dropping. I had a lot of family from around the country come for the wedding and everyone was really impressed with the natural beauty of the Gorge, and Maple Leaf really proudly showcased that. The venue is a fantastic mix of indoor/outdoor space: the indoor area is professionally designed to be flexible for all your needs; wall outlets everywhere, flexible space, great kitchen, and really nice bathrooms! Right out the doors is their patio area with romantic festival lights strung up. Our guests really enjoyed spending time on the patio when evening set in. The grassy lawn in the back is also fantastic, we used that space for a bunch of lawn games (that Jamie provided!) for our guests. Also included are two suites for the bridal party to get ready in, and that was A LIFESAVER. Plenty of room for all of us to prep the morning of, with a great kitchen for all our 'did you eat? eat something!!' snacks. I cannot recommend Maple Leaf Events enough!

Wedding Couples Beware! My daughter had a June wedding planned at this venue. She paid in FULL…read morebefore the final due date, and then Covid 19 hit and turned the world upside down. The decision was made to cancel the wedding since their guest list was over 100 and state restrictions prohibited any gatherings over 25 people. All of the other wedding vendors gave FULL refunds without hesitation and voided their contracts due to the pandemic.Even the photo booth that stated on their website that NO refunds were available, gladly refunded her money. After several emails back and forth, Jami decided to give a partial refund. She tried to give some other dates that didn't work for them. My daughter was very upset and thought she would just keep the $1000 save the date money, but she kept more than that amount. She explained that she is a small business, and that she has overhead. Anyone that has looked at this venue realizes it is a DIY wedding venue, and she has NO staff. She choose to keep a large amount of money for circling a date on a calendar. Shame on her for causing mental and financial stress during this crisis. If you plan on having your wedding at this venue, just realize that even a national pandemic doesn't void her contract. You will be donating(not by choice) your hard earned money to her small business for NO services rendered. For a wedding venue owner, she isn't very compassionate. Every bride plans and looks forward to her wedding day. Mother of the Bride
