The beautiful color drenched cliffs, the roaring waves crashing effortlessly against the rocks, and the powdery soft sand caressing my feet made for the ultimate relaxing experience in nature. It was almost surreal. There's a destinated parking lot down the road so anyone with mobility issues may find it hard to access. There were no bathrooms, food, or beverages available unless you make the trek back up to Aquinnah cliffs (15 min walk uphill). There's supposedly a section that's designated as a nudist beach but I didn't see it. Moshup is a bare bones but stunningly beautiful beach, a must see while on Martha's Vineyard!

Now you will climb a sandy incline . When you reach the top you will think you are in the Caribbean. The ocean is cerulean blue..and the sand is softer and lighter than most New England beaches. There are tidal pools on both the far left and far right of the the beach. In the the summer high season ithe beach is only open to West Tisbury residents. In the past , it was possible for non-residence to use the Beach in the off-season. I believe it is the best beach on the island.

NOT FAMILY-FRIENDLY…read more The beach itself is excellent. The overall experience is not. The town of West Tisbury permits only one car *per house* to park at the beach. So if you have multiple families (with little kids) sharing a house, and everyone in the house wants to go simultaneously, then they must be shuttled. Which potentially means adding & removing car seats. The town also doesn't seem to have accounted for the case where multiple families from the same house may arrive at different times. (Ex: One family in the permitted car, another family dropped off by someone who doesn't want to go to the beach.) The town gives only 1 set of credentials. Fine, allow only one car. But why not give one beach access card to each family? Finally, this information's buried. We learned it at the pass office; it wasn't in the guidebook we bought, the websites we'd checked, nor our rental's info packet. Hopefully this review will help other families avoid this pitfall. ‍

This beach is located at the end of Craigville Beach and is a continuation of the amazing water front. This location has a decent amount of parking and access to all of the amenities Craigville Beach has. This beach is also a great place to visit in the morning to either complete an exercise routine or if you are like me, just to sit and watch the waves.

I have to admit, we didn't make it all the way to the water because we were afraid of ticks. They had a nice turtle pond near the entrance with plenty of great scenery and geese. Felix Neck is one of the many cool little places on the Vineyard that never seems to be crowded. A…read moregreat place to get away from the tsunami of summer tourists. It's only about 350 acres but located right on Sengekontacket Pond. The ocean is just over a narrow spit of land called Beach Road and Joseph Sylvia Park. Another very cool place. Forget about bringing a mountain bike, no bikes or dogs are allowed, just hiking. Lots of cool looking Cormorants and Ospreys love this place and if you are lucky you will see one sweep down and pull a large fish out of the water. You start at the Visitor's Center that has some maps, books and displays and then hike on one of the 6 or so trails. The main trail is called the Jessica Hancock Trail and takes about an hour to finish. Great water views on all sides and lots of indigenous flora is everywhere. Last time I was there this old guy told me a story that Jessica still walks the path evern though she is long gone. I guess she loved this place so much she still can be seen on certain nights in her night grown and hair blowing in the wind. I've her similar stories on Block Island and Nantucket, and Island places seem to love such stories. Even though I've never seen Jessica, Felix Neck is still a very cool place.
