Used to go here years ago and it was great, what happened?! Went in April as a walk in, nails were so so looking, and the nail tech tried to sway me getting into all these additional services. Wasn't impressed but wasn't awful. Two weeks later, I called on a Saturday looking for the earliest Sunday appointment available. I was told 9 45. I sat in the parking lot till 10 20, as other customers showed up gathering by the door. They told me they do this every Sunday because they drive from Boston. I had to update my rating. I used to love this place, I am a year round resident and this used to be my go-to nail salon, but the owner REALLY needs to hire more staff. I tried to look past the incidents below but I will be taking my business elsewhere. The salon is consistently and obviously understaffed... I watched them turn away at least 5 customers during my hour-long wait described below because they were so behind, and the poor souls who are working are literally running across the room, are clearly exhausted, overwhelmed and they rush through the service at lightning speed (very unpleasant and awkward for everyone). I don't even want to think about whether the tools and surfaces are being cleaned in the midst of the rush, but I have my doubts. I appreciate it that the technicians are trying - and I wouldn't be writing this review if the rush-job-mani actually came out good. Been there twice in 3 weeks, first for a gel french mani, then returned for the soak-off/mani. First time in, I waited for an hour, then she did my $32 +tip gel French mani in 15 MINUTES. No, that is not an exaggeration - I watched the clock. She wouldn't let my hands fully dry after I washed them, then wouldn't even let me leave my hands under the light the whole time. To be fair, the mani looked OK until it started to chunk off about 2 days later (because my nails weren't prepped appropriately). Returned for the soak off and a second chance - same issue, waited about 45 minutes, then was again ultra-rushed through my mani, which looks terrible btw... thick topcoat only down the middle, what the heck? Anyways, maybe I'll try this place again in the off-season... until then I'll go elsewhere. read more

This was the WORST experience I've ever had. I went in for a full set. The guy was rude and pulling at me and sighing the whole time. He put my nails on SIDEWAYS! How that's possible I have no idea but they look awful. They didn't clean up the underside of my nails either so I have plastic pieces I cannot get off. Nail polish on my hands and everything. This past Monday I called for an appointment at about 5:30 p.m. The guy told me 6:00 would be fine. All I wanted was a regular manicure which was quoted at $12. When I walked in the door I was happy to see a very spacious and clean environment. The nail tech named Cindy asked if she could help me and I told her I had an appointment at 6:00. She motioned for me to sit down and began taking my polish off. She tried to convince me to get a gel manicure but I only wanted a regular one. She pointed to a display of polishes that were right next to me on a plastic storage rounder to select a color. These bottles has silver tops and were touted as fast drying and Cindy told me it should last 2 weeks. Well, the manicure did not last 2 days before the chipping began. Cindy worked much too fast and the experience was not relaxing at all. I mentioned she was going fast and without a verbal response she kept working. In less than 20 minutes it was over and I was charged $15...apparently the silver top polishes were more? It was obvious they were trying to clean up and get out for the night sending me out the door very quickly. I do not understand the difference in price, the speed job was not appreciated, the polish was bumpy in places and not flush with my cuticles, and peeled off in 2 days. I had to get another manicure on Thursday. The posted hours are until 7 p.m. but these workers were out before then as they locked the door behind me at 6:35. I was overcharged, got a less than stellar manicure, and had to pay for another one three days later. This is NOT a quality salon to get your nails done. This was probably the worst manicure I have ever gotten in my life! My nails were already short, but this woman filed them down to the nail plate and then kept filing away at my fingers, which hurt! So of course my painted nails looked like nubs because she filed away all of my nail. When she trimmed my cuticles, she trimmed EVERYTHING around all my fingers, even if there was nothing to trim. She made my nails bleed in several spots and they look like someone nibbled on the sides of them. I also sliced the corner of my finger the other day and told her to work around it because it hurt, and she didn't listen despite repeated reminders. She tried to trim at it, even file my cut away! Then she did the worst job painting my nails. There is polish all over my actual finger; I could've done a better job! The only thing saving this rating is the wonderful girl that always does my eyebrows and always does a fantastic job! I will not be going back to this nail salon, and am extremely disappointed, considering these nails were for my wedding! And now I will have to pay to get them redone and try to ignore the fact that they are now raw and short.. read more

The owner is the biggest con-artist. He will give you a frequent customer card to save money after so many visits, and when you get to that visit, he will cut a few nails (acrylic) and charge you extra to fix them so he can make up the difference. You don't even see it coming. They also tell you the wait time is shorter than it really is, then they rush, especially children and charge the same price. I went to Cape Cod Nails to get my SNS dip nails redone. I asked for the same color, bubble bath that I had on previously. The last SNS manicure lasted for 3 weeks. Only started going south the last week I had them on, but I had been doing alot of random work outside on boats and what not so I was using my nails as tools for work too. The manicure went fine. Even though I noticed he didn't take off all my past manicure before starting my dip again. I thought kinda weird but I'm not the professional. He only dipped my nails once in the actual colored powder. The first dip was in white. So this time my bubble bath turned out lighter pink than the color already is! That kinda annoyed me, but thought well whatever I can handle a color like this for 3 weeks. Well after 4 days the top coat was peeling off...I went back...they fixed it, but 4 more days and not only is it happening more draticlly on all my nails, 2 of my nails are cracked and one is chipped after only having the manicure a week ago!!! I'm seriously upset I don't know what this is happening. I'm not saying this salon isn't good for other services, but if you are looking into getting a dip manicure done I would 100% avoid this salon like the plague it is not worth the money AT ALL! Since a week later I have to find some place new to go, but won't even be able to think aout getting a new manicure until after I work all weekend! Just really dissappointed! read more

i could've done my nails better at home. this gel manicure is all over my cuticles. i asked for a gel matte black, which apparently they don't have. she gave me the closest color they have to black which i soon found out was purple as not close to black. $27 manicure could've been found much better somewhere else. read more
