Went here based on some pics I saw online that looked appealing, and tried the shrimp basket with fries and coleslaw for 16.95. I also got iced tea for beverage and it was good. There can be awful iced tea, this was not. They have a small standard selection of beers available too. It is a little restaurant minus any notable ambiance, but is clean and servers are on the ball, although I did need to ask for drink refills(not a big deal) There is outside seating as well, again minus ambiance or view so probably a place where you go when you just want good seafood and nothing fancy. So back to the shrimp, which I got fried. Imo there is no other option unless you get peel and eats with cocktail sauce but I was not there for that. Anyway it was fresh tasting(let's hope so, right?) and fried perfectly. Flavorful and not overly cooked. Yum. I have tried fried shrimp all over SEFL and I have to say these were probably the best. Larger and 8 count so lots of them that make the price reasonable. I would like to try the lobstah roll someday, If I had to sum it up I'd say this place is just plain good. read more

Fried fish tacos are the best. Mexican inspired but it has (pickled I think) spicy cabbage that helps balance the dish - order a beer then you're all set. I was in town for short time but I will definitely keep this on the list next time I'm back. read more

I was not expecting much. We vacationed in Fort Myers Beach. All of the restaurants around a Time Square are 3.5 stars at best. We decided to drive over the bridge to find better food. When we first pulled into the back of the restaurant I was a little nervous. It didn't look like much. However, the food is amazing! We had the garlicky mussels, clam chowder, lobster chowder, monstah lobstah roll, and a daily special of Cod Newburg. The passion fruit sangria was good too. We liked the food so much we went twice that week. Our server, Michelle, was great too! She helped me decide what to order and was very friendly. We are going back next year for sure! read more

This was the best seafood I've ever had!! The service was great, super friendly, the food came quick, and it was so delicious I wanted to keep eating and eating. We tried the seafood casserole (the lobster sauce!!!), Connecticut lobstah roll, bada bing shrimp, truffle fries. The sauce in the casserole was so good we dipped our fries in what was left of it. Definitely will go back and if our house was closer, it would be in our monthly budget. read more

The service here is impeccable. Everyone is super friendly and nice. I wished we came hungry but we were still full from lunch so I guess everything was OK to my taste bud. Amazing. Everything here is made fresh and with love. We had to take someone to the airport and this place was about 20 minutes away and figured worth a stop with the ratings. We visited SW Florida last week and this place was easily the best meal I had all week. So good in fact we took my mom and brother to try it the next day because they weren't with us the first time! Located at the end of a strip mall there is a small seating area both inside or outside. They tell you sit wherever you like when you arrive. We sat inside both times. I enjoyed watching the servers rush around and the gentleman with a Cape Cod accent interact with customers. He was entertaining. But he also made sure everything was running smoothly and everyone was happy with their food. The food is amazing. First day we got there about 4:00 PM. And there was only 1 other table seated inside. So our server Samantha, who was awesome, kept food coming at a great pace and drinks flowing. Our glasses never emptied. She also gave us samples of their Chowdahs. Wow. It's like someone here brought an old family recipe to work and is sharing it with the world. They are the best Chowdahs I've ever had. First we ordered an appetizer. The Wasabi-Yaki Shrimp. Lightly fried shrimp with Thai Chili Sauce, Sweet Soy, and Wasabi Lime Aioli. Served on a bed of shredded lettuce mixed with the Thai Sauce and Soy. Wasabi Lime Aioli drizzled on top. Tender, hot butterflied shrimp sitting on Thai and Soy that were mostly sweet. The Wasabi sauce was mostly flavor and not spicy at all. The dish was really excellent. Next up I had samples of the Manhattan and the Special 'Captain Mike's Fish Chowdah'. The Manhattan was a red broth based chowder and not cream based. Rich and flavorful from sausage used to make the broth. Amazing. Captain Mike's was cream based and had chunks of cod or other seafood. Amazing. I ordered a cup of the corn and lobster chowdah. Cream based rich with heavy cream and butter. Lumps of lobster and corn. The corn clusters indicate they used corn on the cob to make this recipe. I'm guessing they used the cobs and lobster shells to make the rich broth. Maybe a blend of seasonings used in the Cape Cod area perhaps. There is a richness note I can't put my finger on. Either way it's amazing. This is how I started my meal on both days. Same appetizer and chowdah. Then had different entrees each day. Day 1 I had the Jumbo Shrimp and Cod basket. Served with hand cut fries and coleslaw. Day 2 I tried the Lobster roll with hand cut fries. Day 1. Jumbo Shrimp was butterflied, lightly battered and fried. Were just as tender as the appetizer on the inside with a light crunch on the outside. The cocktail sauce is house made and had a sweet and tangy zing. I am perplexed by the fried cod. All I had to do was drop a fork into it and it would slide all the way through. I have had tender and flaky fish before. But nothing like this. I really want to know how they get it this tender. Best fried cod I believe I've ever had. Tender, flaky, slight crunchy exterior. Amazing. House made tartar on the side. Day 2 I had the classic Lobstah Roll. Made with lemon, herb and light mayo. They mean it. Mayo so light it barely coats the lobster meat so the lobster meat can shine. Irregular pieces so you know it was manually pulled from a lobster. Piled high on an open split butter toasted bun with a piece of green leaf lettuce. These lobster morsels are tender and delicious. Worth every penny. Fries both days were served hot and crispy. I highly recommend. I will definitely be visiting every time I'm in SW Florida. read more

Oh my goodness - this place is as good as all the 5 star reviews said! We had just arrived from Chicago and heading for Sanibel, and hoped to find a place to eat on the way. When I saw the name in yelp, I knew we had to try it (having spent many summer vacations on cape cod). We chose to eat outside, which seemed less cramped than inside. Everything we ordered was really tasty and well prepared: clam chowder, clam cakes for dunking in the chowder, and spicy lobster tacos. I definitely need to figure out how to replicate the lobster mix, cuz it was amazing. I have to say I have never had food this good on the Cape. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, and brought out our food quickly. And he endured our stories about cape cod . We will definitely put this on our agenda next time we drive through on our way to sanibel. read more

The best thing on the menu is the lobster and corn chowder. It was SO GOOD. You can order a side of clam cakes with the soup... DO IT! I could eat so many of those. The fried shrimp and fish was both good, but for me it's all about that chowder. Seriously the best I've ever had and I eat chowder everywhere we go. The fries were just ok and we didn't like the slaw. read more

Charming fresh fish restaurant perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Picked up the Hubby at the Airport and we were headed back to Sanibel Island. Found great reviews on YELP for this fresh Seafood restaurant so, we had to stop by and give it a try. Cape Cod offers a large outdoor patio seating area and a smallish indoor Dining area, carryout is also available. We LOVE authentic quality seafood and we were NOT disappointed. The overall decor of the restaurant is all things Beachy or Fishy in a good way. My son and I ordered the lobster poor boy sandwich and the hubby ordered the fried seafood platter. Overall size of the sandwich left us satisfied. Mounds of Lobster was stuffed into the buttery roll. Fried Fish is so indulgent when cooked properly! Wish we had room to try more entrees. read more

Sam Adams beer and white wine were good starters with a cup of lobster and corn chowder...delicious .....and my friend had the Rhode Island Red chowder which had plenty of clams! I loved the stuffed "classic" lobster roll which had some lemon, fresh herbs and a touch of mayo and a side of baked beans. Great service, fresh food...if I was in the area, I would stop in again! read more

Amazing .... Everything from the service to the food! We happen to be in the area from Lakewood Ranch, and saw it and knew right away we wanted to try it! Our waitress was friendly and outgoing, and suggested the cod sandwich, which was like a Cuban. Sorry, I forgot the name! If you love lobster, you should love cape cod fish co. They offer three types of lobster rolls, classic (lemon, herb and mayo), Connecticut (sautéed in butter with old bay) and original (chilled with mayo or butter on the side). Also fabulous is the lobster BLT although I recommend with no bacon since the Smokey flavor of the bacon can overpower the lobster. The frites are house cut (delish!) but the cole slaw is average. The only other sides are baked beans and house salad making it not the keto friendliest. Outdoor seating has fans and misters with a view of the parking lot. read more

Finding this place was like finding a rare gem in a unexpected place . The ambiance of this establishment makes you feel at home even if your not originally from up north ,. If this is your first visit to this place, you might have missed the entrance easily. It is located several stores next to the Planet Fitness on McGregor Blvd and Gladiolus Dr. This place does not have a liquor license, if you want a beer or drink you have to go next door to buy your own. We got in around 5:30 PM but only outside tables are available. The place became crowded rather quickly. There are more seniors but very few younger clients. My friends recommended we try the Portuguese mussels and Ipswich Steamers. We have a different plan tonight. To start, I have a cup of New England clam chowder with a raspberry iced tea. It was fantastic. Next came with the classic or traditional lobster roll. Lot of lobster meat on a toasted bun with a little lemon juice, herbs and a touch of mayo. Wife ordered fried shrimps with hand cut fries. Needless to say, we both have our Cole slaw. We have a very good dinner but pass the Love boat ice cream dessert. Fantastic dinner! However, I still prefer to inside table! The service is friendly and served us quickly! read more

I'm a sucker for a good Lobster Roll, and this place does it right. The lobster was overflowing, the bun was buttered and crispy, the flavors were popping. And the fries! The fries were great and I loved the entire meal. If your looking for an amazing sandwich/fries combo, don't hesitate. read more

Found this place on Yelp..sure glad I did..our first visit I had a Lobster Roll..wife had a Fish & Shrimp..outstanding.. We ate there a 2nd time while on vacation for 2 weeks at the Beach..our 2nd Time wife had Fish & Chips, I had a Shrimp Po Boy sandwich...it was really good.. Service was good also..if you like seafood I would most definitely recommend this place.. Didn't get a pic of Lobster Roll..I did take one of the Shrimp Po Boy.. read more

Stopped in after days of "storm work" following the terrible hurricane Ian. After 11 days of non stop inspections and helping those who lost so much, the Cape Cod Fish Company was the first hot meal for my partner and I. The clam chowder (red) was absolutely the best I ever had. Granted, I was starving but the childhood memories of good fresh chowder came rushing back. In short order the shrimp tacos and fresh made coleslaw arrived. So so Good and fresh! Such a welcome surprise coming in from what could basically be described as a demilitarized zone. Even one of the windows of the restaurant was boarded up! But they were open, friendly ( thank you Sheila) , and the food was top notch! Can't wait to get back! read more

You had me at Parmesan Truffle Fries! I usually skip fries but definitely not today. I started with a yummy cup of New England clam chowder. We had a good house salad the Gorgonzola cheese added a lot of flavor. The calamari is delicious! I loved the blackened salmon tacos. This place is our go to spot when we want to dine in or take out. The food is always incredible, you can't go wrong with anything there (although I highly recommend the lobster bisque and lobster rolls). I don't give out 5 starts easily but this place deserves it! read more

History

Established in 2013.

Established in September 2013 by Joseph Faria and his cousin Debi DePaola. Both former residents of Rhode Island Chef Joe has been cooking New England seafood since his first job as a fry cook in a little clam shack in his hometown of Tiverton, RI. After working 25+ years as a professional chef he has returned to his roots and brought a taste of New England with him to Fort Myers. Serving steamers, fried Ipswich clams and Wicked Good Lobstah rolls! Debi his proud to be his partner and shares his love of New England cooking.

Meet the Business Owner: Joe F.

I am a native of Rhode Island, growing up in the town of Tiverton. Restaurants like Evelyn's Drive in Seafood Restaurant ( in Tiverton ) and Flo's Clam Shack ( next town of Portsmouth, RI ) were always summertime favorites. Our family would pack in the car and drive to these waterfront diners. You would get out of your car and order your meals through a take out window. Then you could go back to your car or an outdoor picnic table, and wait until they called your number over a loud speaker letting you know that your food was ready. After dressing your food with the appropriate condiments you would retreat to the confines of your vehicle or picnic table to enjoy the fresh, sweet fruits of the local shores. As delicious as the food was , it was the family time spent, that stays most in my memory. These flavors and memories are what I want to bring to my New England replants here in Fort Myers.
