Relaxing patio dining on a perfect Florida afternoon. Light breezes, tropical music hums as I peruse a menu of seafood delicacies opting for a fresh shrimp salad over crisp greens Perfect service by Gerry and you know why we love living in paradise... Good afternoon Ft Myers,, seafood anyone???

Shrimp Shack 8-27-25 Stopped by on Wednesday afternoon about 3pm. Place was not full but was clean and we got a booth right away. Jerry was our server was fast on answering any questions we had and taking our orders. We ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder for an appetizer to share. For the mains I ordered the Shrimp Lovers Platter Which has Grilled Shrimp Skewer over a bed of Yellow Rice, Shrimp Scampi, Fried Shrimp, 2 Hush Puppies and Cole Slaw. My wife ordered the Haddock Boiled with Fries and Salad. Our friend ordered a House Salad. Our Clam Clowder came out first with the Salads. The Salads looked great and tasted fresh. One thing I loved about the Salads they were cold. Our Clam Chowder was very good and packed with Clams and pipping hot. Our main orders came shortly afterwards. My Shrimp Lovers platter looked amazing. It was very good and very tasty. Even the Cole Slaw was good. I loved this platter. My wife's Haddock was very good and done just the way she liked it. Her fries were also good. All in all our food was very good, tasty and all was hot. Even Jerry checked on us filling our drinks and asking if we needed anything else. I must give this place 5 out of 5 stars for the excellent service and great food. You must put this on your stop by list you won't be sorry. I for one can't wait to get back. Blackened shrimp

My Caesar salad was just delightful! Blackened shrimp was decent, served in a bowl with this "blackened" sauce that had no flavor. Onion rings weren't great, ironically the breading was seasoned, but fell apart. Hush puppies were obviously just filler to make the plate look more full. Haddock stuffed with crab was wonderful until the last 3 inches of the fillet had no crab and it was just flavorless fish. The fried green tomatoes were my favorite! Breading stayed on and the sauce was delectable. Most of the food just needs more flavor, better breading (like beer batter), and sauce variety.

The server was nice and attentive. Basic nice little place, casual. The food was good. Had shrimp and fries with hush puppies. The crab cake with hush puppies were delicious. The shrimp, chicken and fries hot and tasty. I would recommend for a casual dinner or lunch.

A big delicious slice of orange cake for dessert

I met my friend for lunch here. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Booth really nice and our server was very friendly. Due to my allergy that I have to mushrooms, I was unable to enjoy any coconut shrimp or any fried items like French fries. Because they fry all fried items in the same oil. My food was very good. I just wish they would be able to use a separate oil to fry the French fries. Everything was delicious.

Best Gulf shrimp we have ever had. They are busy most of the time. Not a fancy place but great seafood...they do volume.

So delicious and flavorful. Our other favorite is the shrimp burger. It is so delicious. We only…read morewaited about 10 minutes for a table, but it got very busy shortly after we were seated and wait times increased quite a bit. It was a sunny, warm day and we sat outside under an umbrella, though there wasn't much shade coverage. The overall vibe is a casual, waterfront fish shack--laid-back and lively. We started with the stone crabs. While the crab itself was great, the mustard sauce was a little too mayo-forward for our taste and wasn't our favorite. For my entrée, I had the hogfish special served over sweet potato mash with green beans. The hogfish was fresh and delicious, but the sides missed the mark--the green beans were overcooked and the mash was a bit watery and lacked consistency. My husband and daughter both ordered the whole fried fish (yellowtail snapper that day), and they both said it was perfect and absolutely delicious. The fries were good, and while the red beans and rice were just okay, my husband really enjoyed the zucchini and tomato side. Service by Olivia was spectacular--attentive, kind, and always on top of everything we needed. We come back here every time we're in the area. My takeaway: come for the fresh fish and great service, not the sides.

Great spot in Fort Myers for family dinner!…read more Our server Austin was great and the ambiance was nice, live music on Saturday night is always a vibe. I tried the shrimp scampi and Tuna Tutaki off the summer deal menu Tuna Tutaki is the same size as if you ordered it off the regular menu, same as the scampi huge portion. We also ordered the Grouper Oscar which was delicious if we're being picky it could of had more sauce. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was their skinny margarita and that's just based off my flavor preference. For dessert The Tower Carrot Cake is equivalent to 3 or 4 big slices, definitely shareable. The Famous Key Lime pie was also amazing but not shareable, it's smaller and so good you'll want it all to yourself! Cheers!

They were backed so we still had to wait for a table but it was a holiday so I don't really hold that against them, just noting. Do note that most parking is valet (complimentary). My husband and I split oysters and the Captains Platter. Captains Platter was tasty but for $40+ - I think they could've given a larger portion of at least the veggie sides. Restaurants who skimp on these always blow my mind, Brussels sprouts are so cheap! What we did have was just ok. Sprouts were soggy and bitter, only a few scallops, but the fish was good. I actually liked the plantains a lot! Our server was fabulous and we did need some help from one of the managers who was also great. It is quite a loud restaurant but again it was packed. Overall, I just wasn't excited about anything we had, and thought the prices were high for the quality. With all the seafood in this area, it would be hard to return here.

They don't take reservations when the pre baseball season is here, for obvious reasons (The Boston RedSox play in FM)! It is really a must for people who love the sea food from the Boston area. Friday, March 27th my wife and two friends left Sebring driving the two to Fort Myers to go check out the Clam Bake for some long awaited delicious seafood especially looking forward to some fried Ipswich clams. Entering The Clam Bake, looking around, I saw a very nice variety of Boston Sports teams pictures and memorabilia on the walls. The waiter was prompt though not very personable. The waiters response to the two questions was as i was asking stupid questions. Regarding the food. I ordered a salad with Russian dressing and received Thousand Island dressing. I ordered Fried whole belly clams and a baked potato The baked potato seemed to be a day old left over baked potato reheated. Instead of clams I received Fried Oysters. When I asked they assured me they were clams. My wife ordered Fried Sea Scallops with a baked Sweet potato. She received what looked to have been frozen Sea Scallops (that were just Ok) and a "half" of a small Sweet Potato. I ate the salad as Thousand Island Dressing still tastes good, though I prefer Russian. It would have been nice for the waiter to let me know. I ate the potato as I have many times had cut up left over baked potatoes as home fries, and they are good. I did not eat the oysters. A bus person came by and cleared our dishes., did not ask if my dinner was ok as the oysters were still on my plate. Over all opinion: The decor is New Englandish, Service over all ok. The food is ok. Just don't expect the quality of the seafood to be anywhere as good as what you can find in New England. I will not be returning.
