Dr. Kevin Oliveira is patient. He listens ... and answers all of your questions to your satisfaction and understanding instilling confidence and trust, immediately, and at each subsequent appointment. Yesss!!! The staff ... I cannot say enough about the staff. The office staff and the orthodontic assistants, they are all knowledgeable, congenial, and folks who enabled me to be at complete ease throughout this entire experience. Additionally, I observed interactions by staff, with children of various ages and stages of care. Their interaction, compassion and mindfulness with each child was exemplary. The wait time for my appointments was ... non-existent! I signed in, was greeted by staff, sat, VERY briefly, then met with one of the assistants (who were all SUPER) followed by an evaluation and question / answer period with Dr. Oliveira. My daughter has been under this orthodontist for three full years and now that she leaving for college - UCalgary - we are nothing less than in tears. Dr. Woods has repeatedly shifted blame as to why he has failed so miserably. The fact is that my daughter had been in braces for a year and when we moved here and had an initial consultation with this dotard he said that her teeth would be done in 4-6 months. i used to go here before covid, and the dentist i had was very nice & understanding. and i recently…read morehad a broken tooth so i called to make an appointment, and when i called i asked if they still did laughign gas and how much it was out of pocket, c ause i need it for them to safely even clean my teeth cause high level anixety and on the specturm. they got me in a few months after i called and thats where the issues started. i get there and theyre confused why im asking to confirm if i pay now or later for the laughign gas and then im told i have a new dentist cause my old one retired and the new dentist was very condesending, she talked to me as if i was being inconvient for insisting i need laughing gas even for a cleaning. she told me 'we dont like to use laughing gas on adults'. her tone and over all attitude felt ablest, and i dont like using that word lightly. i explained its in my chart, which even she said she saw it in there, and it was because of high anixety, sensivity on the teeth and that im on the spectrum. the more she talked to me the worse i felt. i felt so disrepsected and not very welcome. so it was not a good experiance. she then insisted we 'try' to do the cleaning without it, and i gave in and three seconds in my tooth felt like what nails on a chalk board sounds like and we had to stop. then she basically tried to explain that i should look into one of these other dentist practices that do full sedation denisty to "not traumatize me" more, but honestly the way i was treated was more traumatizing. cause i've had issues with dentsits as a child, and when i first found bourne dental assosiates in my early 20s, i was relieved originally cause i was treated with respect and had no issues. so to go back there after 4-5 years and be treated like i was an inconvienance because i needed laughing gas, for my anixety & disablity. i can say i was relieved to find a different dentist company, so i don't have to return to this practice. i left the building feeling so anxious and humiliated that my hands were shaking.

I was told that I could not speak with the Doctor or even receive a call from her at a later time. I couldn't send a complaint in the mail since the Office "Manager" opens the mail. Her behavior was so unprofessional I want to switch offices, but my child is in the middle of treatment and nobody else will take transfer patients mid-treatment. The fact that I don't have any access to speak with the Doctor who treats my young child is very disturbing and unusual. As a professional myself, I am horrified by Cheryl's rude behavior and unfortunately Yelp was my only way to let the Doctor (and unfortunately others) know.

Dr. Nick was an arrogant jerk that was so rough he would hurt my sons face and neck and the new doctor is an arrogant jerk. My sons brackets would pop off left and right and wires would break for no reason and every time we would go in to get them fixed they would reprimand my son and not even listen him when he'd try to explain himself. Clearly their products and service are both awful. I mean it's hard to do quality work when you spend 5 minutes with each patient! My son's teeth actually look worse now than they did before we started this whole process! I'm having them remove his braces next week and I will never step foot back in that office ever again!!!!

Throughout my year and a half as a patient, I always felt very safe with the HEPA filtration throughout the office and masks/face shields worn by staff. You can find delightful staff members from the front desk to the payment office to the exam room. Zoe, who most often took care of my braces, was very helpful and informative.
