Look no further. Trust me…read more I have been to dental offices all over the U.S. I have poured so much money into my dental work, only to watch my teeth go one by one. For reference, I had a spot in my mouth that no matter what I did, the dental work kept failing, and no one could figure out why. I was temporarily living in Delray and went to Spodak for a cleaning. The office was incredibly modern and had every specialty under one roof. I haven't been able to find anything like that anywhere else. Dr. Spodak, who is the patriarch of the practice, came in and he was so warm and comforting. He had a terrific bedside manner. He looked at me and said, "You don't have bad teeth. You probably do your dental work all at once, and they offer to do the left side and then the right side." I nodded. For the first time, I felt truly seen in a dental chair. He explained that all of the dental work had caused my bite to become off and told me, essentially, that if we started then, he believed he could save my teeth. If we didn't, I would likely continue losing the other side. Unfortunately, I didn't have the money at that point. I asked if I could at least get a bite guard. He told me that it wasn't going to solve the problem. That might sound like a small thing, but to me it said everything about their integrity. They knew a bite guard was all I could afford, and instead of bringing me in and charging me $500 for something they didn't believe would actually help, they were honest with me. I eventually moved to Arizona. When I finally did have the money to address my teeth, I couldn't find one dentist here who could help me or, more importantly, really listen to what I was saying. They offered bite guards. They told me to brush and floss more. I am not joking when I say I have seen more than 30 general dentists and specialists combined. And through all of that, I kept coming back to the same thing: this wasn't simply a brushing-and-flossing problem. My bite was the problem. Out of all of those providers, Dr. Spodak was the only one who ever talked to me about actually trying to prevent further damage and save my teeth. Sometimes I honestly feel like dentistry has become more focused on fixing problems once they happen rather than figuring out how to prevent them in the first place. If I could go back, I would have stayed in Delray and continued seeing Dr. Spodak. I am seriously considering flying back there just for a visit.

Never thought I would review a dental office, but oh wow! From the moment I walked in - even…read morethrough their protective masks, you could see how friendly the young ladies at the front desk were. My appointment was right on time and my dental hygienist, Marnie, was an absolute darling. She did an awesome job not only cleaning my teeth but keeping me engaged in the conversation that I didn't even realize we had finished. I made another appointment with Marnie for deep cleaning. I also made appointments with Dr. Michael Rodriguez and that also went smoothly. He was very thorough in his explanation of treatment and very light handed when working in my hand. I didn't even feel the needle to get numb. The dynamic between him and his assistant was seamless - they work great together. I just moved to a new area and came across this dr on my list of participating dentist and I must admit I was a bit skeptical because he looks so young, but I was met with professionalism, courtesy, and knowledge. I found my dentist! P.S. I also made appointments for my husband and he feels the same way I do.

The dental work itself was fine. Dr. Tremaine is good at what she does. Marnie, the hygienist is the reason I have been a patient, as she is great! My frustration is with the administrative side of things. It has been terrible since Amy left last year. The new people have provided me wrong copayment information, have not done what they said they would do and told me my refund was being mailed, when it has not been. Xavia is not easy to deal with, has a condescending attitude with patients and actually had the audacity to tell me that "that is why he is the owner", when 3 weeks ago I indicated it is not fair for patients to be made to wait for responses regarding over payments because the owner/dentist only works one day a week. Not an appropriate response, in my opinion. Given I have had to chase refunds from this office twice now, I will not be paying for services upfront. Will wait for EOB to do so; and if not able to, then I guess I will be looking for a new dentist. I have left messages asking for either the owner or my treating dentist to call me, and nothing. I guess they are not interested in knowing what their patients are going through. This has really left a bad taste in my mouth. Would have never happened with Amy. Good employees are truly hard to find.

Deceptive Billing Practices, Misleading Confirmations, and Predatory Quotes!…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. Before booking anything, I texted this office directly to ask if they take Anthem Blue Cross for cleanings AND a sleep apnea mouthpiece. Their text back was crystal clear: "We do! And we do all of the above." (Check the screenshot attached). Any dentist offering sleep apnea devices knows these mouthpieces are covered under medical insurance, not standard dental insurance. They knew full well what I was asking for, yet they told me they covered it just to get me through the door. Are they that desperate for patients? I drove 45 minutes each way (an hour and a half round trip) for this appointment. It was only after they brought me back and put me in the chair that the dentist dropped the bomb: they don't actually bill medical insurance at all. To text-confirm "we do all of the above" under my insurance beforehand and then admit in the chair that they refuse to file medical claims is a blatant bait-and-switch. Instead, the dentist. last name Lapin, tried to play it off like no dentist bills medical insurance (only retired ones with nothing better to do), then pitched me an outrageous $5,000 to $6,000 cash price out-of-pocket. That is more than double what these custom devices normally cost. Luring someone into an appointment with false promises on insurance just to try to trap them into a massive cash bill in the chair is completely predatory. When I called them out on wasting my time, they were smug and dismissive. They waived the consultation fee, but didn't even bother to offer a basic apology for wasting almost two hours of my day and gas money due to their own line of BS. Do not trust what this office tells you over text or phone just to get you booked and in the door. Save yourself the headache and go to a real dentist who actually knows what they're doing and isn't incompetent, overpriced, rude, and arrogant.

I have never had a worse experience in a dentists office in my life. I came in for a few specific…read moreteeth to be worked on, and he (the dentist) came up with a plan for me for them, and explained how everything would work for the next appointments. The bill was outrageously high, so I had to wait for insurance to hit; which ultimately didn't cover anything anyways. When I finally came in to get those teeth done that we had an ENTIRE PLAN for, I was gaslit by this same dentist who was now saying that he "didn't agree to the bottom ones" I needed, and actually instead I needed to work on random other ones in the back. I was frustrated, but thought that maybe I'd somehow misunderstood the first appointment, and maybe I really did need to get the back ones suddenly filled? I went to the next appointment however excited to finally get the main two teeth I'd come in for worked on, just like he said we would do the first appointment- and after I was laid down I was once again gaslit by this same man who was now saying he "never said anything about those teeth, he needed to work on some back ones instead" (how would I know what the plan was for those original teeth I CAME IN FOR when I don't study teeth to know the terms he had given on what they would be needing ??lol. ) He would not work on the teeth I went through all of this entire hassle and outrageous bills for. I ended up getting a GIANT bill to work on teeth that we NEVER addressed prior, and somehow- all of these differing plans were based off the exact same X-rays that were taken on the first day. How the plans kept changing based on one X-ray is insane. My teeth hurt worse than ever, nothing I came in for originally was worked on, I was literally being gaslit by this "professional" dentist (who raised his voice at me for getting frustrated). To say that I am unhappy is an understatement. Do not trust this place. I would like to report them.
