Yelp won't let me do emojis. But just imagine all the joyous and party ones that would ensue if…read morethey did. We are so happy that we chose Richmond Country club for our wedding and reception venue. From start to finish Amanda was there coordinating everything down to the smallest detail. Victor, the head chef ensured our naked wedding cake was beautiful with all the trimmings that we could have ever asked for. Our family style Asian fusion cuisine was top notch and our guests said that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding they have gone to. The chicken and salmon with jasmine rice were to die for after our guests were already blown away by the array of appetizers and salads. Our bartender was very sweet and had a great sense of humor and we could not have asked for a better setting to have our special day. They will definitely be our first pick the next time we have a large family gathering.

It's been about 8 years since I played regularly, so I am trying to get myself out there and take advantage of the summer, exercise and friendly competition. I arrived early for our late morning tee off, so I found myself at the bar celebrating a pre-birthday mimosa while getting my game face ready. The place was somewhat empty that morning, but the golf course was a steady flow of players. Without a drivable cart, we were lagging behind others who had one and were better - so we tried to hurry up and let others play through to catch up. Overall everyone was nice and the timing worked out. After 9 holes, there's a snack shack with sandwiches, hot dogs, ice cold beer and beverages. It's like the reward you've been waiting for. I had a nice cold Lagunitas IPA and hung out with my family enjoying the scenery. I had a blast at Richmond Country Club and look forward to going back again after a few more rounds of practice.

Ok so you have seen a few reviews that talk about alcohol... if your goal is to come and drink…read more This is not the venue for you. This is a BALLROOM studio, where you learn and practice ballroom dancing. Think of ballet studio or jazz or hip hop, you would not expect those studios to have alcohol. This studio is probably the best in the Bay Area for ballroom dancing. Excellent teachers and instructors. I have taken both beginner, intermediate, series, and bronze level classes. I have some dancing experience but my partner doesn't, so he is now able (after 4 classes) do the basic steps for Viennese Waltz. This studio hosts events, which is fun but again it won't have alcohol. This studio emphasizes on ALL levels and welcomes ALL. You can always ask the staff questions before attending a class to see which level you fit into. The area is safe but it is an urban area, so please stop putting 1 star reviews bc your stuff got stolen from your car. It's not relevant to this studio. It's not their responsibility ... stop being dramatic. I don't work for Allegro and don't get compensated in any way by them. I just find it annoying that people post 1 star reviews for the heck of it. This is an excellent place to learn ballroom dancing and compete. If you are new or advanced, you will find an appropriate level for you!

It used to be located in Emeryville but now they are located in Richmond next to a grocery store which feels much safer when parking. I went here with three friends and we all plan to keep coming back at least 1-2x a month when we can!

You know that nightmare when your home's water heater blows up?!…read more And that's how we ended up coming through here since it was gonna be a couple of days before that gets fixed. I booked my reservations via Expedia. Luckily, there were a few rooms available even on a last-minute/emergency basis. Checked in on an early evening and the host wasn't all that friendly or open. I didn't really care much about it, I just wanted to get in the room and take a shower. The check-in process was swift, so that was cool. I was also told that continental breakfast is available from 6-930am. From what I observed, room is clean. Like, sanitized clean. No hint of any musk or odd smells. I inquired if they had a bar or the kitchen open and was told they weren't. (Understood - pandemic and all) so I was forced to go out to get some grub. On my way back in, I asked the same host if I could have some utensils. He was a bit more interactive this time around and gave me a couple of sealed sets. He even managed to crack a sincere smile. (He should smile more often, he looks more welcoming, not to mention he looks good!) Nothing special with their continental breakfast but grateful nonetheless. I did a check out with a whole different set of staff and they, too, were pretty nice and friendly. Good stay overall. Should I have any other home emergencies like I did on this run, this will be my go-to.

There's a sitting area as well so makes the room pretty spacious. For the bathroom, different layout than most Courtyards where the sink area is outside the bathroom it works although the counter space was quite limited. A big plus especially for this area is free parking and definitely lots of it. It's located more in Richmond than Berkeley but I liked that it was located near the freeway but not that close where you could hear the traffic. Unfortunately there weren't stores or restaurants with walking distance but they do have a bistro that serves breakfast and dinner and also a bar. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Property well maintained, clean, and area felt safe. Plenty of free parking. Nice bistro. Loved the breakfast plate with eggs, well seasoned potatoes and bacon. They also make a nice breakfast sandwich. Starbucks coffee is featured at the bistro as well, tasted great. Rooms are comfortable and best of all, warm. We went during Thanksgiving so the area can be cold, was nice to come back to the warm room. Comfy beds, slept very well, nice selection of TV channels with Netflix, Prime, Youtube available as well with your login as well as local channels. Areas of improvement: Our room was not cleaned at all for the first 3 nights. They only offer every "other" day cleaning so this was very disappointing to come back to an unattended room late after Thanksgiving with family. I even asked them to make sure to clean at the front desk on the way out! The couch and ottoman in the room are dirty. Visible stains on the cloth as well as the pillows. Did not want to sit on it at all. Bistro only has one person working the front. Eduardo was working his butt off and needs a serious raise!! During one of our mornings, there was a line of about 3 people so we opted to eat elsewhere because we read online it can take very long. Marriot, please have two people working the bistro. Poor guy was taking orders, making coffees, doing it all up front. Also, chairs in eating area were dirty, needed wipedown. Elevator needs repair, only 1 of 2 was working, and it wasn't very smooth. Very hurky jerky. It also needed major cleaning. The walls of the stainless door unclean. Elevator floor was also dirty. It looked like it was only vacuumed once during our stay. Need to fix the lights that number the floors as well, small things count! Thank you for the free breakfast coupon for not having cleaned our room, we did appreciate that. Overall, room was good (minus the couch). I'm hoping these issues will be resolved because there were definitely some nice things about this place.
