Absolutely horrible customer service. The "representative" of this company made fun of me, said I had mental health problems and told me to stay at the YMCA. Stay far away from this company.

I was referred to Valley King after a problem being approved at an apartment complex…read more They had some agents out sick that day, but were diligently assuring that clients were taken care of as promptly as possible. Scott was SO helpful. He even called me later in the day to check in. I was approved and am now set to move in 2 weeks from now! Thank you, Scott!!!!

Jovanni was our agent and I told him (and wrote down) I only had $1200 in moving expenses. This guy tells us we got approved for an apartment that was $1450 a month (which is fine as long as there are move-in specials) turns out there were NO move in specials and the apartment management company doesn't have an office so we could sit down and actually break down all the fees. I've rented many apartments in my life and never in all my years has my experience been so bad. Random fees would pop up out of nowhere and now all of a sudden we have to pay $2300 just to move in! Mind you- we already packed up our entire life and moved out of our previous apartment because NO ONE COMMUNICATED WITH US UNTIL LAST SECOND THAT WE HAVE TO PAY 2x THE AMOUNT JUST TO MOVE IN! We even SIGNED THE LEASE! Not a single person told us about this move in cost because we made it VERY CLEAR what we had to work with. This situation has completely ruined my life all thanks to VALLEYKING PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

I received workman's negligence after submitting a maintenance request. The leasing office has handled the matter poorly in every way possible. I've been berated, undermined, and devalued through out the entire process. I'm holding my breath until my lease is over and my nightmare of an experience here is finally over. I've never been so stressed out and anxious about living in a place I don't feel safe in and does not provide quality living, leasing agents, or maintenance associates. I'm severely disappointed in myself for not terminating my lease upon move in under the preface that things would be repaired. That's when all the issues started and as soon as they did not keep their word on the repairs I should have left, but due to needing a place to live I opted to stay. Worst decision I've made last year.

I lived here for a year and wanted to wait until my move-out was complete before leaving an honest…read morereview. There were some office staff and maintenance employees who were friendly, professional, and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, one maintenance employee in particular, Robert, was involved in most of the issues I experienced, and it made living here far more frustrating than it should have been. I had multiple maintenance requests that were marked as completed before the work was actually finished, which meant I was constantly following up on repairs. It often felt like the priority was closing work orders as quickly as possible rather than making sure the repairs were actually completed. The biggest example is my laundry closet door. Maintenance removed the door, folded it up, and left it next to my washer because they said they needed to order a replacement part. They never came back to install it. After I moved out, I was charged for the damaged door. I disputed the charge and explained that maintenance had removed the door and never completed the repair, but because the work order had been marked as completed, I was told there was nothing they could do. Being charged for a repair that maintenance started but never finished is unacceptable. I also dealt with an ongoing bug issue. Pest control told me my front door needed new weatherstripping because there was a gap allowing bugs inside. When I asked maintenance about it, I was told the pest control company was "just spraying water" and that Weidner used them because the company was owned by someone's spouse in Weidner corporate. As a resident, it was frustrating to receive conflicting explanations instead of simply having the problem addressed. There were also abandoned vehicles sitting in parking spaces for months despite the property's towing policy, even after I brought it to the offices attention multiple times. Carolina was the person I dealt with regarding this issue, and both interactions left me feeling like my concerns were being dismissed and it was an inconvenience. I don't understand why enforcing the property's own policies seemed to be such an issue. They also sent out emails to residents complaining about various things like smoking on the property, but their own maintenance workers regularly drive around on their golf carts smoking cigarettes. For the amount of rent I paid, I expected much better communication, accountability, and follow-through. Instead, I spent far too much time chasing repairs and dealing with unfinished maintenance. While there were employees who genuinely tried to help, my overall experience left me feeling like resident concerns weren't taken seriously. I would not choose to live here again, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this property. It's very "slum lord" the way that it is ran.

The water is shut off every week for multiple days and several hours. The manager Phil makes women feel VERY uncomfortable. This place may have cheap rent but you are not safe, you have zero support from the leasing office, and the complex overall is not taken care of. Phil will tell you Phx PD does patrols. I called PD and confirmed they do NOT as they are "man power short." I told this to Phil, and he said Phx PD misinformed me. I think Phx PD knows more on the areas they patrol than a leasing agent. Attached is a photo of the failure to fix lights in the covered parking adjacent to the apartments next door. For months and months, I've asked for this to be fixed. Residents from the apts next door will use the hoods of cars to jump back and forth to commit crimes including assault and theft. At the basketball court, a man was jumped by 10 men in hooded masks. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE FROM THIS PLACE! EDIT: Since you responded and said "We also take reports of maintenance concerns, including lighting, seriously and strive to address them as promptly as possible," I wanted to tell you that I have a paper trail of emails back and forth for MONTHS about the lighting and no changes so please don't respond with lies.

One of the best things is that he is excited and knowledgeable which (to be honest) is hard to find in a realtor. A lot of them just are so focused on the sale and less on the education and best options for your situation. I would trust Brandon for any purchase in the future.

Brandon goes the extra distance - he does the research needed to fully understand comps, value, and isn't afraid to point out negatives or things to consider during shows. There were even houses we liked that weren't on the market or were in early stages of construction - he would go out of his way (literally scouring the internet and cold calling people) to find out the details of the house and set up showings. He's readily available for showings at the drop of a hat and is able to make strong connections with sellers agents. The market is tough right now, and he never once pressured us into buying. He acknowledged the reality of the situation and has a ton of empathy for buyers today - which was so appreciated. He truly is on your side. Sadly we made the decision to move out of state, and we have to find a new realtor in that market. We are so so bummed to not be able to work with Brandon anymore but will continue to recommend him to all of our friends and family looking to buy/sell in AZ. Thank you Brandon!!
