My husband and I have not played golf here but we did spend a night in their RV park. Which was…read morelovely. The views here are amazing and seeing the wildlife is a bonus. What a beautiful community. We booked our stay online. There was conflicting information about whether or not pets were allowed. We have a small dog, who we monitor very closely - especially in a golf course situation. We called the pro shop where you check in a few times and it was clear the RV park management was not a priority in their training. Our stay went well until we went to check out and my husband tripped over the grounding post at the electric box. There was a lot of bleeding and I called to ask them to send a manager to help me assess the situation. He never introduced himself, he seemed unclear how to help, although he was nice enough. I told him he might want to add a barrier around the post and might want an incident report in case his injuries were worse than cuts and a bloody nose. So not impressed with the employees, but the place really is nice.

I don't do reviews, but we had a deeply disappointing experience at Gladstan. As out-of-town…read morevisitors, we booked and prepaid for 18 holes walking online. Upon arrival, the employee, Tanner, informed us we had to start on the back 9 which was no problem. He then said the back 9 is cart-only, and charged an additional $24 for a cart despite no mention of this requirement on the website. When I questioned this, he dismissively suggested walking the front 9 twice, which wasn't what I booked. Reluctantly, we paid the extra fee so we could play what we booked. Tanner then said we could "walk or use the cart for the front 9," which we understood as a goodwill gesture. However, after one hole on the front 9, a marshal confronted us for using the cart, forcing us to return it, retrieved my push cart from my car, and trek back to the 2nd hole. This interruption was frustrating and was so weird that we were being monitored mid-round. Whatever, we moved on and finished our round However, as we were leaving, Tanner approached us literally in the parking lot as we were about to drive away, and we thought he was going to offer an apology. Boy were we wrong. He accused us of "stealing" the $24 cart use, despite his own unclear communication and despite the cart being returned per their wishes. Being accused of theft as a paying customer, especially after such a poorly handled situation, was outrageous and unprofessional. Tanner does not know me or my character. The lack of clear policies, poor communication, and confrontational attitude made this a 1-star experience. Save your money and play at Hobble Creek instead. Payson, UT is not sending their best.

Gladstan Golf Course - Hole number 12 is a great elevated tee box as you hit over a decent sized dip.

Fun place to play for only $26.00 including a cart. The greens were soft and in very nice shape as…read morewere the fairways. The course has a nice layout and very easy to play nine holes in less than 75 minutes as a single. Challenging tee short on #3 through the gap between the trees was interesting, as was the big dog leg right on the par 5 fifth hole. I do have a few suggestions to improve the golfing experience for this course. 1. Please water at night and not during the day. It was not fun dodging sprinklers on almost every hole. 2. Upgrade and update the bunkers. They all needed fresh sand and all the weeds in them need to be pulled. 3. The tee boxes on #3 all need to be trimmed. The grass was a good two to three inches high. All in all, I enjoyed my experience, and I hope to play the course again as I travel back and forth from Las Vegas to Montana multiple times a year.

So, the other day I was again making the drive between southern Utah and the Wasatch front. It was a nice, sunny day and as I was driving past this golf course I remembered my clubs were still in the trunk from my semi-regular game with the fellas. I almost talked myself out of it thinking I should just keep driving in order to get home timely. Being spontaneous seemed like a good idea and I realized it was now or never. I pulled off and went to check it out. I found the clubhouse (which shares a parking lot with a motel) and checked in to play 9 holes. 23 bucks including cart. Found the first tee box and tee'd off in complete quiet except for the birds and some traffic noise. As I started down the fairway I realized I was the ONLY person on the course (which was strange but very fun). I made par on the first 2 holes without having to cheat at all. Just kidding, I didn't have to cheat. Anyway who would know if I did cheat (which I didn't). The greens were super soft and spongy. My approach shot on 8 actually plugged (fried-egg style) in the green! Never seen that before. Played 1-9 in about 70 minutes. Fun, flat course with bail-out landing areas on driver holes. I'll be back to play again, someday.

It also has surface targets instead of the recessed holes and therefore the scoring seemed much different than usual. It's only a few years old, so I'm not sure if the differences are cost cutting measures. But I was a bit disappointed. I did think it was cool that they had a small miniature golf course out front and it looked like a realistic course with hills and sand bunkers etc. We arrived earlier than our reservation and they informed us they are weren't ready for us, so we headed to the bar. Right after we ordered drinks we get a text asking if we were here. We responded here. Next thing we know it says our bay will be ready shortly. We try to fast track our drinks only to wait another 15ish minutes to get our assigned bay right at 6:15pm. We were on the second floor. Instead of the couch like setting, it had a bar table with high top chairs. The one cool thing, is the screen above the ball delivery box so you could see where your call went vs looking back at the screen near the seating area. The glare from bright lights coming from businesses/buildings beyond the range made it hard to see where the ball was in the air or where it landed. The food is expensive. Portions are small, but food is usually good just not very filling. If you order food and drinks it gets expensive. We played 2 hours with some adult beverages and food and it was $155 before tip. Service was just ok. I've had better. We ordered waters and had to ask twice to get them. Paid extra for a second sauce and never got it. I should have complained but it was only a $1. I think overall I prefer the Midvale location vs the Vineyard one.
