In August, before my sister's wedding, I booked an appointment at this salon based on a friend's…read morerecommendation. I was very specific about the techniques and cut I wanted and was assured they could handle it. When I arrived, I was told my appointment had been switched to a "more experienced" stylist. Her previous client was unhappy with her color, so instead of focusing on my appointment, the stylist kept going back and forth, working on that client's color while also cutting my hair. She completely ignored me, barely consulted with me, and kept insisting the haircut I wanted "wasn't that hard," as if I was making a big deal over nothing. The result was a terrible haircut that was not what I asked for at all. At first I thought I might be overreacting and tried to give it time, but months later my hair is still completely messed up and uneven from that cut. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, especially before such an important event. Terrible customer service and I would not return or recommend this salon

Poor Experience - Unacceptable Customer Service…read more The massage itself was good, but everything that followed completely overshadowed the experience. After my service, I paid with a $150 gift card at the front desk. The employee, Jane, ran the gift card multiple times and even said "third time's a charm," then told me I was all set to go. Based on that, I left. Shortly after, I received a call saying there was supposedly only $10 on the gift card. I explained that the card was for $150 and that I had been told I was all set after it was rung in multiple times. I answered the call and also called back to try to resolve the issue responsibly. The general manager, Samantha Goy, called me. Unfortunately, the conversation was extremely unprofessional. She was rude, aggressive, and would not allow me to speak. When I reminded her that I was the customer and was trying to explain what happened, she responded, "That's not how this works." Despite explaining that:    *   I was told I was all set and cleared to leave    *   I did not knowingly leave without paying    *   I had already contacted corporate by phone and email with no response Samantha Goy accused me of nonpayment, claimed I left without paying, and threatened to file a theft charge with the police if I did not immediately pay--while they still have possession of my $150 gift card. I repeatedly stated that I would never intentionally leave without paying and that I was actively trying to resolve the situation through corporate channels before settling any remaining balance. None of this was acknowledged. When I asked to speak with her manager, Sean, I was told he would not speak to me. This interaction was demeaning, hostile, and completely unnecessary. A simple billing issue caused by staff error should never escalate into accusations and threats. I am beyond upset by how this was handled and expected far better professionalism from a business of this caliber. So disappointing.

We probably would have done the family plan if everyone was in agreement. Anyhow, probably stay at our current gyms for the time being. Spacious, cardio upstairs on the overpass walkway. Basketball court always busy. Sauna is a bit tight. It gets pretty busy but we didn't end up waiting for anything and got our workouts done efficiently. Free weights, bench racks incline flat and decline. Squat racks, smith machines, cable machines, racquet ball courts, cardio machines and stretching area. They also have a cafe and vending machines for your smoothies and protein needs. Parking lot is limited during peak times but there's plenty of space to find a spot. People make their own too haha. Overall a good spot in the area. Some of the equipment definitely felt like it's been moved, but manager did say they always try to fix anything that's down quickly. Hopefully that's the same with the pool!

I'm a former swimmer & miss lap swimming, so finding a gym w/ a pool would be ideal for me! Unfortunately, the pool has been out of service since November & they've been having HVAC issues + I guess struggling to find someone to come to fix it? Not entirely sure but hopefully the issue will be resolved soon. They have lots of cardio machines, mainly on the second floor. There are stairmasters on the first floor by the locker rooms, weight area is in the back of the gym first floor along w/ a bunch of machines scattered around, and a cycle room. Locker rooms have saunas in both men & women's. I do like that they have a cycle room! I'm a big fan of spin & would like to pop in to one of these classes eventually. If you like playing basketball, they have an indoor court as well! Staff is really nice here & for the most part, the gym was kept pretty clean. The membership plans are quite affordable, in my opinion! I've gone to gyms where I've spent hundreds of dollars a month, less than $100/month, and Planet Fitnesses/Crunch but I would say LA Fitness' memberships are a great deal if you're looking for a place that has more amenities than your typical weights-only gym w/o paying Lifetime/Equinox prices...also actually cheaper than our local YMCAs. Standard membership is ~$30 but if you sign up for a family plan (w/ $99 initiation fee), each person is $20/month up to 4 people per plan. The equipment here does seem worn but didn't come across any that were broken or anything. There are some machines that I was hoping to see and not sure if they will be getting some new machines? Honestly, still debating on joining membership because my main goal was to find a gym that has a pool and it's uncertain when the pool issue will be fixed. Parking: they have a good size free parking lot but it does get pretty packed & many people end up parking in non-spots lol. ***Babysitting is available if you have kids in the household! $10 extra add-on/month per kid to membership***

The difference has been night and day. The entire staff, from the physical therapists to the front desk, could not be kinder, more welcoming, or more helpful. Great facilities, but the "Sales-First" culture is exhausting…read more While Life Time Fitness is clean and offers a great variety of classes (popular ones fill up very quickly), the daily experience is marred by several significant issues that make it hard to recommend at this price point. The Parking Nightmare The 5-story garage is a disaster. The first three floors are mostly reserved for valet, leaving everyone else to circle the bottom two floors. The spots and turns are dangerously narrow; even with a mid-size sedan, you're constantly at risk of scraping your car against pillars or rails. Constant Upselling & "Hustle" Culture The "luxury" vibe is frequently ruined by promotional announcements over the PA system. Even booking a high-quality massage comes with an exhausting sales pitch both before and after the session. Most recently, I tried a "complimentary" training session. I was incredibly explicit during scheduling: I only wanted the one free session and a simple list of the exercises we covered for my own reference. Despite being assured this was doable, the trainer withheld the list at the end, stating I'd only receive it if I signed a paid contract for more sessions. It is insulting to have clear boundaries ignored. This relentless "hustle" and sales-pitch culture is fundamentally at odds with a true wellness environment. Deafening Class Volume The music in many studio classes is set to an uncomfortable, near-painful level. Instructors have refused requests to lower the volume, or even turned it up in response. While earplugs are provided, you shouldn't need hearing protection to attend a gym class. Alpha Space Equipment On a positive note, I did notice recently that management addressed a previous shortage of 20lb and 25lb barbells in the Alpha space. It's good to see they are capable of making functional improvements when members speak up. The Bottom Line The facilities are well-maintained and the class variety is excellent, but the stress of parking, the "disco-level" volume, and being treated as a "lead" first and a member second make every visit an exercise in frustration. It feels more like a sales floor than a wellness club.

Two stars because for a premium gym, it should be better…read more Group exercise classes that are not scheduled during work hours, and even ones that are, have enormous waitlists. But the studios have plenty of room. There are classes I want to try but I don't feel like being number 17 on a waitlist. Seriously, this is a whack system. I want a fitness class, not a Birkin bag. Creating scarcity is a bad business model. Weight room is fine. Blah what a disappointment.
