The staff are so lovely and were fast in service. The food itself was served hot and fresh. It wasn't overly salty and the peach drink was ice cold, perfect on a hot day. I noticed they have a buffet option on Saturdays too which is super unique. We'd love to visit again if we pass by Sydney in the future!

We ordered two Chicken Feet, (they forgot the second order which was supposed to be To-Go.) The Chicken Feet were undercooked and not tender at all. It did not include the obligatory veggies or cabbage and no slice of Roast Pork and the Pork Dumplings were very overcooked and falling apart. Would not order it again. Maybe it's for presentation, but that was iffy and preferred it filled up a little more. The rainbow roll was $17 and it was an 8 piece sushi roll that is average (but overpriced). I also ordered a sunomono salad. I was suspicious of the $7 price at first but it was a pretty large portion but the seasoning of it isn't very authentic. Takoyaki was ok but I was pleased they even served it. Coming from a bigger city I am fully aware of the price point of sushi and what it should bring. This certainly does not fulfill its price point. The atmosphere of this restaurant is actually pretty nice. It's very cozy and warm with modern decor. However there is no parking and accessible entrance. So anyone who cannot use the stairs would have great difficulty getting into the restaurant as it is up a set of stairs. That being said, I still like the decor. Customer service wise it was good. They were attentive and professional. The Korean staff (spoke korean to each other and English to the guests) were very friendly. As this is the only Japanese place in town I will return once more to try their lunch specials.

They ask lots of questions and helpful in every way. The store is really small and cramped when it gets busy. If eating in you'll have a lot of takeout order people standing around hovering over you. The food is just okay. Nothing great and not horrible. They use a good size and piece of fish and it was good just a little over cooked. The chicken has a lot of breading and is severely over cooked on many pieces. Any piece that wasn't overcooked tasted great. The breading has good flavor. The fries need SALT; add salt before eating. They are dry and tasteless. Not sure I'd waste my time stopping again, but I can see why regulars visit. There aren't many options I. The area.

The takeout crowd was steady, even well into the evening on a Sunday, but after a short wait we had our food and popped over to one of the picnic tables that line their expansive parking lot. I snagged a two-piece combo, and opted for a side of gravy instead of a side dish. The chicken was hot out of the fryer, tender and moist. The skin - arguably the best part of fried chicken - was nicely seasoned, and tasted similar to KFC in flavour and style. The crispness of Korean fried chicken is king in my opinion, but this old school style certainly has its place. I am glad that we had it on location, as time and steaming in its own heat would not do it any favours. I always enjoy the concept of crinkle cut fries, but the execution is often a mixed bag. Lick-a-Chick's were somewhere in the middle - not soggy and disappointing, but not crispy enough to be particularly memorable either. Just a decent, average fry that made for a good gravy-delivery-system. Long standing institutions like Lick-a-Chick are still here for a reason, providing tasty treats at reasonable prices, and becoming a part of the community that they serve.

At this point it was almost 8 o'clock so I cancelled the order. The waitress charged my nephew full price for an ice cream even after all this mess. The food here was okay but service was terrible. Overall, it's a 2.5 star experience rounded up. However, the other waitress just impatiently told us our server was coming but she didn't even bother grabbing our server. Our waitress only showed up again after we finished our meal and paying the bill. Terrible service provided by this restaurant! Food was 4-star quality. We ordered chicken wings which was delicious, grilled salmon was very dry, lobster sandwich was with decent portion and very tasty and went well with the butter grilled bread. The chicken supreme we ordered was cooked well (not dry). Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the terrible service. The food itself is not worth the terrible service.
