The staff are so lovely and were fast in service. The food itself was served hot and fresh. It wasn't overly salty and the peach drink was ice cold, perfect on a hot day. I noticed they have a buffet option on Saturdays too which is super unique. We'd love to visit again if we pass by Sydney in the future!

It did not include the obligatory veggies or cabbage and no slice of Roast Pork and the Pork Dumplings were very overcooked and falling apart. Would not order it again. Maybe it's for presentation, but that was iffy and preferred it filled up a little more. The rainbow roll was $17 and it was an 8 piece sushi roll that is average (but overpriced). I also ordered a sunomono salad. I was suspicious of the $7 price at first but it was a pretty large portion but the seasoning of it isn't very authentic. Takoyaki was ok but I was pleased they even served it. Coming from a bigger city I am fully aware of the price point of sushi and what it should bring. This certainly does not fulfill its price point. The atmosphere of this restaurant is actually pretty nice. It's very cozy and warm with modern decor. However there is no parking and accessible entrance. So anyone who cannot use the stairs would have great difficulty getting into the restaurant as it is up a set of stairs. That being said, I still like the decor. Customer service wise it was good. They were attentive and professional. The Korean staff (spoke korean to each other and English to the guests) were very friendly. As this is the only Japanese place in town I will return once more to try their lunch specials.

At this point it was almost 8 o'clock so I cancelled the order. The waitress charged my nephew full price for an ice cream even after all this mess. The food is just okay. Nothing great and not horrible. They use a good size and piece of fish and it was good just a little over cooked. The chicken has a lot of breading and is severely over cooked on many pieces. Any piece that wasn't overcooked tasted great. The breading has good flavor. The fries need SALT; add salt before eating. The takeout crowd was steady, even well into the evening on a Sunday, but after a short wait we had our food and popped over to one of the picnic tables that line their expansive parking lot. I snagged a two-piece combo, and opted for a side of gravy instead of a side dish. The chicken was hot out of the fryer, tender and moist. The skin - arguably the best part of fried chicken - was nicely seasoned, and tasted similar to KFC in flavour and style. The crispness of Korean fried chicken is king in my opinion, but this old school style certainly has its place. I am glad that we had it on location, as time and steaming in its own heat would not do it any favours. I always enjoy the concept of crinkle cut fries, but the execution is often a mixed bag. Lick-a-Chick's were somewhere in the middle - not soggy and disappointing, but not crispy enough to be particularly memorable either. Just a decent, average fry that made for a good gravy-delivery-system. The food here is decent - chicken wings were flavourful and the chicken supreme was juicy. Blueberries complemented the salmon well. Service however was horrible. First, they didn't really have proper seating for 5, so my group was a little cramped on a table designed for 4. Our server was usually nowhere to be found. At the end of the meal she told us she's new and still learning the ropes. While that's excusable, the service level from all the other staff was not. We've flagged down at least 2 other staff looking for our server, and while they just acknowledge and say "your server will be right with you", they DID NOT ACTUALLY GO GET HER.
