Thumbs DOWN. Was hard to even find it as it has about four parking spots.. No eye catching sign for first time visitors. I drove right by it and I was the only one there no other people or dogs. Absolutely nothing inside of it but signs on a very old, poorly maintained fence around dirt, mud and grass ass. A little dog can squeeze through the front gates with ease and the street is right there. NOT SAFE!! I did not see any water resource for the dogs and absolutely nothing to exercise or play in or on. To summarize it's a patch of muddy grass at least on this day and a very old, poorly maintained fence that small dogs can squeeze out of easily and lack of parking. If you've never been there before you could drive right by it as there's nothing catching about it. Very disappointe. read more

This park is an embarrassment to the City of Canton. Went there today 2/4/2024 and expected more. The "dog Park" is on a sketchy side road off Riverstone. No lighting. Broken Gates and faded signs that are falling off the fence. There is only a small bench in each side (small dogs, Large dogs) for people to sit. Aside from some trees there is no shade. No running water, and no poop bags. I have been to a lot of dog parks in the area and this one is absolutely the worst. read more

Save your time, energy and gas and do not bring your dog here! Facilities are too small, dirty/muddy, and completely run down with broken/falling down fences. Parking is inadequate/inconvenient and there isn't running water/fountains for the dogs. Just horrible. read more

We were just at Canton Paw Park on Juniper St. and I would like to post a complaint. It hasn't been mowed in over a month and there is never any fresh water. We were there a month ago (it needed mowed then) and our little dog got bitten by a snake! Thankfully it was just a small, harmless brown snake but it could have been worse. Today there was a man who had 3 Pitbulls and 1 German Shepherd when the sign clearly says maximum of 2 dogs PER PERSON! Yeah, i'm gonna let my dog play with pitbulls and a german shepherd. I tried contacting Canton Paw Park and of course their website doesn't work and I saw no phone number (of course!). If the people who are running Canton Paw Park can't do a better job than the City of Canton needs to step in! read more

This is the parking spot(lot) in between etowah park that connects old park and new park, this is a great place exactly halfway between the 2 mile path. They are in the process of buildings Popeyes in front of the parking lot. Over all easy access to both sides of the park, it is not a lighted parking lot so I recommend a flashlight after the sun goes down. read more

Park is nice. Not too big. Some trees for shade and some benches. Only water is in a barrel, which I didn't feel comfortable giving to the dogs when it is 93 degrees outside (not sure how long it's been there or how fresh it is). Park is clean and well maintained. We were the only ones there. Since we have 3 dogs, it was ok. Our dogs like to play together anyway. read more

Too many holes in the fence line for medium to smaller dogs to get under. Never anyone here. I've been here 10x and only seen other people and doGs twice. Never ever is there any fresh water for your dogs. I bring my own gallon. My back yard is bigger. We need to petition for a legitimate dog park in canton. read more

We were the only ones at the park when we went. Augustine would have loved to meet some new friends up here. Both the small dog and large dog enclosures were incredibly clean. Parking is off to the side in a less than perfect area but this won't deter me. Some might find the surrounding area to be a bit sketchy. However all of the residents of the nearby homes that saw us were friendly. I look forward to going back when there are more dogs there. It's nice to see a park with grass for the pups to run around on. read more

I don't know if I would truly define this place as a dog park. It is two chain link fenced in areas of grass on a sketchy street. The parking is a short walk from the yards but I wouldn't want to be there by myself. The yards are barely big enough for 5-6 dogs to run around. I don't recommend this place at all. There are much better dog parks relatively close by. read more

Pretty nice little dog park! Two separate areas for small dogs and big dogs but that doesn't matter because not a lot of dogs come here it looks like. Really nice fenced in area though! Just what I was looking for, kind of sketchy but not too bad!! My dog loved it!!! read more

For small dogs, the size of the area is adequate and on the day I visited, clean. The reason I won't be coming back and do not recommend this dog park is the parking and neighborhood where it is located. It is in a lower income residential area and non-handicapped visitors are forced to park a short distance from the park which wouldn't be terrible if there were a sidewalk to walk on. Instead, you're forced to walk on a narrow patch of grass where some parts force you onto a street, that appeared to be a main thoroughfare in the neighborhood. read more

It's quiet, clean, and not more that 10 minutes from home. My pup loved running around. I was hoping there would be other dogs here, but we were alone. I wish there was more benches or options to sit. Very open and airy. Not a lot of stuff for my dog to run head-first into (which he does often). Overall, it was a good experience. read more

We have a American Bulldog/ Boxer mix so needless to say he needs to stretch his legs often. Im originally from South Florida so I guess Im spoiled by the amazing dog parks down there. This park is ok- there arent any "toys" for the dogs, just an open muddy field. We come back only because there is not another dog park around. read more

Stinks, bad maintenance, soggy. Nobody uses it because it's worth the drive to go elsewhere... not the best pet of town either.

The area is too small, at least for big dogs. Not sure they can help that, but can be a little claustrophobic. (When other dogs do show up at all). There are several regulars who come that should not. One man brings his huge husky mix almost every day, and will block the entrance and will not let you or your dog enter because he says his dog is aggressive and will attack. Why are you at the dog park then?? Those times I had to drive all the way back home since he denied me and my friendly dog access. So rude. There is also another man with a Rottweiler who is aggressive and comes quite often. His dog fights others and he doesn't seem to get the hint that he needs to leave when his dog is attacking everyone else's friendly pups. There needs to be a banned list or something, because many people will never return when each time you arrive the same aggressive dogs are there. The large dog area also has an awful mud hole that turns into a lake when it rains. Even if it has been sunny and dry for days, the area is a mud pit. They need to fill it it with sand. The barrels with water are rarely filled. Overall, this place is poorly run, with horrible dog owners visiting. Save your time and go to Woofstock Dog Park a few exits down 575. read more
