Pork Chop on Rice (received wrong order), Beef Ho Fan, Singapore Vermicelli, S&S Pork on Rice

This is good little spot for Chinese take-out, and is quite popular. Be prepared to wait during the weekends! I tried calling my order in once, and it was quite an experience. The call was incredibly rushed, and even though I repeated the order, I received one dish in error. I guess the person who received my baked pork chop on rice enjoyed it immensely ...lol If you end up having to wait for your order, there is a Dollarama in the adjacent plaza. There are plenty of parking spots, but weekends have become busier. * Cash only

Mmmmm yummy Hk take out food !! We ordered the chicken vegetable chow mein and the beef ho fun ! Both were $9 each including tax ! Super tasty and good "wok taste" . The chicken chow mein was our personal favourite. The beef ho fun was pretty oil but still good . Beef had a lot of taste but noodle not as much ! Each meal came with a free drink or soup . We picked soup and it was a bit weird tasting and very oil !

This venue is located inside a food court of a Chinese uptown plaza. They serve amazing Cantonese dishes at very reasonable price. The quality surpasses some restaurants and they're speedy with their orders! I would highly recommend trying this venue if you're looking to pick up a few dishes to bring home. Sittings are available with proof of vaccination, but do not expect restaurant atmosphere and service. They will shout your order number once your order is ready.

Canton Kitchen is a classic spot across the Scarborough region for quick and easy Cantonese eats. You can find your favourite fried rice, noodles, and dinner options at reasonable prices! The quality is solid considering it is a food court spot compared to their restaurant competitors. There is always a line (whether ordering in-person or calling ahead), so be prepared to wait a bit during the weekends, but the taste is worth the wait. Service is always fast and efficient, so don't expect them to be in a mood to socialize. Your stomach will thank you later!

Ona Saturday afternoon around 11am, I came by thinking I could beat the lunch hour rush. Not a chance! When I got there, the lineup was about 6 people deep and a row of takeout ready for pickup by people who phoned in advance. I shopped around for about 20 mins and by the time I was done I still had to wait another 10 mins. We ordered the Stir fried fish with Bean Curd ($10.75) and Shrimp with Cashew Nuts ($10.75) and it came with a complimentary box of rice. How nice! Although I really wished they'd add more than 7 medium sized shrimps. Price is decent, but I think there are one or two other places to get a better portion size.

Lunch Special from $4.50-$5.00 tax in that includes a drink/soup?! I really don't understand how they able to make a profit with this prices. Canton Kitchen is located inside Chartwell Mall's food court and possibly the busiest food stall there. With this price point, no wonder that are so many people ordering from here. Service is fast and efficient. Everything seems to have a system and the cashier might not greet you and chat chit with you. They are here trying to take as many orders as fast as possible, not here to socialize with customers. Even on a busy Saturday lunch rush, it only took 10 minutes for my order to be ready. Will I be back? I will be picking up boxes and boxes of lunch specials to feed some always hungry teenagers. Cash Only.

I was trying to figure out which place in this food court to order from, and the long lineups led me here! The menu is quite extensive, but I ordered some favorites to try out - Chicken Fried Rice with Garlic Sauce, Sweet and Sour Pork, Rice Noodles with Beef, and Baked Pork Chop with Cheese Tomato Sauce on Rice. Weekends are very busy, so the wait time was about 25 minutes. The service is very brisk, so it's best to know exactly what you want before you reach the cashier. The food was quite good, and they acknowledged my request for less salt and oil as possible. Prices and portions were reasonable. Parking was surprisingly easy for a weekend. Note that cash is the only accepted form of payment.

For many years I have gotten my chinese fast food from Canton kitchen at chartwell. I understand others gave reviews because of poor service. But what do you expect it's a chinese food court not a restaurant. The quick, cheap and delicious. Portions are great. If you pay for a member card, forever you get 10% off your order by paying cash. Today I order the stir fry beef rice noodle. Always on point. Tip: maybe a challenge getting a table in the food court. Always busy at lunch or dinner time. If you are press for time I don't recommend ordering and waiting. You can call in advance and pick up your order too. They have a lot of takeout pick up calls.

So glad my family ordered out from here! Canton Kitchen Chartwell offers affordable dishes with loads of flavor. The lady who took our order over the phone was difficult to understand. That was quite frustrating for my Aunt who was trying for almost 15 mins to place an order of 5 dishes. Canton Kitchen is located in a Food Court and they are Unit # 133. You can eat in or call in and pick up your food. They do NOT deliver. They do their best to prepare your food quickly. It's busy here and there aren't a lot of employees. We ordered Fish Sauce Chicken, Mixed Seafood w/ Vegetable, Fish w/ Roasted Pork & Garlic, Beef Slices w/ Vegetable and Stewed Sliced Pork w/ Preserved Vegetable. The dishes came with White Rice. I appreciate that the dishes weren't overly salty, greasy, oily or packed with corn starch. The sauces were light and incredibly flavorful. Meats, fish and vegetables were all tender and juicy. Vegetables were crisp and not bruised. The Stewed Sliced Pork w/ Preserved Vegetable really took me back in time. It's been awhile since I've had this dish. This was one of my dads favorite dishes. They are generous with the serving size. You will definitely get your moneys worth. With ordering difficulties aside, this place makes my mouth water.

Prices are comparable (if not cheaper) than the supermarkets in Chinatown, which is a huge plus. They also have a hot bar where you can grab food by the pound. You know what you're going to get every time you order. We've had popcorn chicken (5/5), pork cutlet (4.5/5), fish fillet (4/5), braised beef (4/5), stinky tofu (3.5/5 for me but others give it 4/5), dry noodles with Taiwanese sausage (4/5), braised beef soup noodles (4/5). The sides are consistent in what you get and the nice thing is you get to choose 3 with bento boxes. The complimentary soup is alway nice and my rating varies depending on what they made that day but never below 3/5. Price: At prices between 10-12$, this is a great place to get takeout lunch or dinner.

They take debit but since we don't have Canadian debit cards our American ones didn't work ofc! There is no ATM around and luckily she was OK with us using our credit card this one time!! Really appreciated that. As for the food, we got the stinky tofu, sticky rice sausages, oyster omelette, and chicken thigh bento. My husband is from Taiwan and he thought the the food was just OK. He particular liked the bento and stinky tofu but the oyster omelette and sticky rice sausages fell short and I agree! The bento had a variety delicious side dishes and chicken was moist and tastily flavored. Big portion and good value! The stinky tofu was crispy and stinky, perfect and pickled cabbage was great with it. The oyster omelette was fine but wasn't glutinous enough, we are used to it being more gooey/sticky/stretchy. In addition there were a lot of onions in it which was hadn't experienced before. The sticky rice sausages fell apart super easily and the casing around the rice was really hard to bite through. Minimal seating, 2 tables that seat 4 each. A counter with 2 seats by the window. Not sure if we'd come again but not bad.
