I feel like the people whose items are being sold at these auctions are being given a disservice…read more Itried to bid on one of their auctions through an Internet auction site. First, the notice of the auction was not emailed to me until maybe two days before the auction at most. Then, when I tried to register for bidding, I was given a notice that my registration was "pending." (Most of the other auction houses accept registration immediately as all my information, including credit card, is stored on the Internet bidding site.) I received an email the day of the auction requesting me to download and fill out some form to complete registration and get it back to them ASAP. Here is their request: "To be manually approved you will need to read and agree to the attached C.O.S. as well as complete, sign and return the attached credit form." I mean, really? How many other people might have wanted to bid on this auction but were not made aware of it in a timely fashion or didn't go through the rigamarole requested? I see items I was wanting to bid on went for less than I was willing to bid. The items' owners did not get the money they could have gotten if this auction house had its digital act together.

When I called to inquire about a beautiful rocking chair that never showed on the paperwork I was given, I was told that rocking chairs don't sell so we put it in the dumpster. That is a lie! I had people wanting to buy that chair for years. This is only one example of how this place steals your things and sells them for themselves. Again, I can't stand a thief or a liar. Grab an auction number at the desk on the right when you walk in. 18% credit card buyers premium, 15% with debit card to be paid at the same desk once you've won an auction. Easy enough. You can leave bids on items before the auction starts and/or wait to bid live in person or by phone. Bring a paper and pad to jot down the lots you want to bid on because it moves fast and not in any order I could discern. If you ask the helpers, they'll move your items into an auction call queue so you don't have to be there till the end. Staff is friendly. All kinds of odds and ends from vintage cookware to furs to coins to furniture. They do auction & consignment. There's the gavel grill with some food options. There's the main room as described above and a side room, to the left, with early bird auctions running concurrently. Prices are all over the place depending on type of item and who's in attendance that wants the same thing you do. There's some good deals to be had. It's an adventure. Good luck
