This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the whole Sacramento area. My wife and I live in south sac but we make the drive almost every Sunday morning for their delicious brunch. The drinks that they serve are out of this world and the food is absolutely the best! But... The main reason why we keep making the drive every weekend is the service. We always get greeted at the door and they make all of us feel welcome. If you ask for Jazmin you will truly have a wonderful experience, she is amazing and always helps out with the million questions we have when others at other places would get annoyed at the level of questions we have, Jazmin on the other hand keeps her smile and patiently talks to us making us feel unique to the rest of the restaurant. She makes sure that we're always attended to even during peak times and is always smiling at our toddler. My toddler doesn't like anyone but she feels very secure and welcome and happy when she sees her. Asking for Jazmin at the door is a must! Specially if you're really trying to make yourself welcome and at home! Stumbled upon this place following a nice bike ride along the Jedediah Smith Bike Trail. Everything here was excellent from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. -Service was amazing, highly attentive and friendly staff -Chips and salsa were included with our meal, prob the best free chips and salsa I've had thus far. Fresh and crisp chips with a perfectly balanced blend of salsa -Coffee was delicious, I could have drank it black. Came with a unique cup and exceeded my expectations in terms of a hint of sweet aroma, even as a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur. So I went it to have breakfast today. I know it's mother's day but I am a single dad and just wanted to have a good breakfast. I ordered beef fajitas and a coffee and a beer. I never got my beer. Never go a refill on my coffee and after asking for 20 minutes I finally got more salsa. I was sitting at the bar saw my food come in the windows it was so over cooked I could not chew the meat. Delicious! Since moving to the area 5 years ago I have been looking for a spot with good Mexican food. The restaurant is clean with bright festive decor. The food is great. I had the mama quesadilla and my husband had the taco combo plate. They have a decent kids menu. My daughter had a hamburger and she enjoyed that as well. Service was great as well. Was in my hometown on an end of summer vacation and was craving Mexican. After scanning yelp and asking some local friends I found the Azteca family in which we decided to have a party of seven grab dinner. Note to self reservations are accepted and on a smarter day I would have planned ahead but we were jonesing for Mexican so we set off. The smaller venue is up the street and has more or a bar feel. The larger restaurant is up on Marconi is themed with a nice size bar as well. We got seated and a live mariachi started and played throughout dinner. We ordered some recommended items and found everything to be fresh, flavorful and delicious. Wow!!! Pleasantly surprised, this was actually a great place to eat. I had the 3 street tacos, service was good. I would come again.

The Cantina is on the corner of Palm and Fair Oaks Blvd in Carmichael. Easy to find and plenty of parking! We came in for Taco Tuesday and left with a big smile and a full belly! The owners are so kind and welcoming. The bartender Mario will make your night with his passion for making great cocktails!! All the food we tried was delicious. Cocktails - get the blackberry mojito! OMG. Fresh muddled blackberries in a tasty drink, presented beautifully. A feast for the senses in every respect. The margaritas are also fresh and home made. YUM. They have a chips/salsa bar so you can grab a basket and get as many chips as you like! And, prepare your own salsa - choose from 8 different types!! The pork tacos were AMAZING!!!! I stopped buy while I was out running some errands for work. I had never tried this place before, so i was just curious as to what everything would taste like. Upon arrival, there was really no line and the place was very warm and inviting. I sat at the bar and the people who ran it we're extremely friendly. I ordered the mixed fajita with corn tortillas. It also came with refried beans. Everything was super fresh here and there were more then generous portions. It also comes with chips and salsa, the chips and salsa were definitely the most fresh chips and salsa that I've had from a Mexican Resturant in a long time. Came here for brunch with some friends around 1:30pm on a Sunday afternoon. It was a bit slow but I loved it. Not too much going on. The server was very kind and put in the order quickly. We were given chips and salsa as we waited. Very delicious. I personally ordered the steak fajitas and they were delicious! The bell peppers and onions were very fresh and cooked to perfection and I got a heaping amount of them! The steak was excellent! My daughter got a children's chicken taco and it was very tasty. Cantina Azteca is a fabulous family owned business in Carmichael and their food and service speak volumes of how amazing the ownership is. And to my surprise, I've finally found a spot that had a good chimichanga! Most places I've tried, their chimichanga would taste dry. But not this spot! Their green sauce is probably what did it.
