Service here is great and both drinks and food came pretty promptly. I ordered some surf and turf tacos an I will say the shrimp was cooked to perfection. My kids loved the nachos as well. With so many hidden gems throughout Columbia I'm glad I stumbled upon this one because it's a great meetup spot. Food was great! I had a ginger beer (non alcoholic) chips and salsa with a shrimp taco. I enjoyed it here. It was the perfect day to enjoy a meal outside. I've been wanting to try this place for a while. We got into the Devine St. location with no wait at all. I know different days call for different wait times so I can't hold it against the Main St. location, especially since downtown Columbia is way busier. The server was super nice and was attentive to us straight out the gate. We got the dirty queso which was different than anything I've had and was immaculate. I also got the chimichanga as my meal, and if you're the type to like fried burritos like I do, this is the go to spot. The cheese was gooey, and the roasted chicken was seasoned well. I'm a big Mexican rice person so I wish I would've had more of that under the chimichanga. Overall, I'd recommend this place for Sunday lunches and date nights. Super yummy. read more

Cantina is one of our favorite places to eat, chill, bring friends, and just have a good time. Sis in love is in town so we decided to take everyone there. It was super busy because it's cinco de mayo weekend and uofsc students were graduating so it was about a 35-40 minute wait which isn't too bad for a Friday night. They had a list of really good drink specials but the one that caught my eye was a strawberry coconut margarita so of course I had to get it. I think it was a great choice. I chose Luna azul for my liquor and the drink was strong but not too strong. I could definitely taste the strawberry but just a hint of coconut. It does have a sugar rim so that also helped with the aesthetic of the drink. I also got a grilled fish taco and a chicken pesto taco. The grilled fish taco comes with jalapeños but I chose without. It was a smidge salty but the flavor was really good. You can definitely taste the fish but the sauce is really the star of the show. Hint of spice with a little tang to cut the fish flavor. Definitely always a go to. I tried the chicken pesto cuz I don't think I've seen it on their menu before. I got it without pico cuz I don't like it and honestly it was perfect. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was really flavorful, not too salty. The lettuce gave it a nice texture and gave the taco some freshness. The pesto sauce was so good, it really was what made the taco come together. It was a 10/10. I would definitely try that one if you come. read more

I had a couple types of shrimp and an ahi tuna taco that were all solid. Our server was friendly and the food came quick. Parking is limited, so I had to parallel park a block away. The food is excellent, but good luck if you want to place a to-go order over the phone. They love to leave the phone off the hook, so all you get is a busy signal. Our server took good care of us & got all of our orders correct. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. They have a great selection of tacos to choose from, don't get me wrong. I just wasn't incredibly impressed. I think I just expected the dirty queso to be really delicious and it just didn't deliver. Man it was slammed. We got front row seating at the bar. It was a little loud, a nice vibe. Nice music, friendly welcoming staff. The salsa was really, really good, I kid you not. The chips were good, although some of them had A LOT of salt (think salt mine), which sucked. I dusted off the salt and dipped YUMMO! The guacamole was on point!!! I ordered the fried chicken salad, the server suggested the vinaigrette her favorite, and she was right it was GOOD! Everything was really, really good, except my salad came in one of those edible fried bowls, and it tasted greasy. The fried chicken was good, not greasy, and the salad ingredients were fresh. This place has been on my list to try for a while. Carlye was our waitress. She was very friendly, attentive and willingly answered all of the questions I had about the menu. I tried to fried chicken taco, fish taco, and Buffalo chicken taco (without feta cheese.) The latter two were just okay. I didn't finish them. The fried chicken taco was VERY good. I even ordered 4 to go! The jalapeño aioli sauce really gives it a nice kick and the chicken isn't dried out. I also got a quesadilla to go and substituted the chicken for steak! I will be back. We waited a while for our waitress to show up for drink orders. Every time she left the table it took a long time for her to return. We waited a very long time after ordering two tacos each and a side of street corn. When the food arrived it was decent. The Buffalo chicken taco had an interesting flavor. Today was my first time at Catina 76 on Devine St as my work group decided to come here for our group luncheon. I would say I would come back again and try some different things or different varieties of tacos. I had the beef enchilada with queso and I believe their special of the day, the boom boom shrimp taco. The enchilada I would say was basic; the beef needed a bit more flavor as it was bland. The queso on-top was yummy and just the right amount of spice. Onto the boom boom shrimp taco, it was amazing. 10/10...it was very spicy even without the sriracha and the fried shrimp was cooked beautifully. We have been to this restaurant many times since it opened. The food quality is going downhill. On our last two visits, we received food that was at room temperature, and the avocado dip was brown. We asked our server if they had a fresh avocado dip. He said no, and that was the end of that conversation. We do not plan to go back. read more

I would title the experience as "death by 1,000 cuts." It started with being served the wrong garnish on my beverage, then the L O N G wait for drinks from the bar (we had finished our first bowl of chips), the need to ask another server for silverware, to the deliver of 5 of 6 meals...and, having to wait for the 6th meal, the food, drinks, and service were subpar. We had to wait and ask for a second order of chips. We were also never offered a second round of (watered down) drinks from the bar. The only time Watson was attentive was after the sixth meal was served he came to ask us if we needed anything else? When I responded no, he asked if we wanted our check? This is my favorite restaurant in Columbia! They have the best food for the best price, I never have to wonder if what I get will be good because it always is. The service is great and the food comes out fast. I can't believe I've never left 5 stars before I've been here about 100 times. My boyfriend and I go here at least once a week. We always get a "dirty queso" which is queso with chicken and sriracha and sour cream and it's delicious. We each also get either the Peruvian shrimp tacos, jalapeño shrimp tacos or the brisket tacos. They're all equally amazing.
