TLDR; Incredible service-- professional and trust-worthy…read more I called on a Saturday hoping for a same-day wheel/tire swap and they had me in within the hour. The staff here is remarkably accommodating; they handled my specific requests for tire/wheel placement without hesitation. While waiting, I actually enjoyed sitting outside in the sun rather than a cramped waiting room, and ended up having a great conversation with the team about local overlanding and trails. Most importantly, their inspection sheet clearly indicated that they verified and torqued every lug nut to spec. As someone who usually feels the need to re-check torque after visiting a shop, this was the first time I felt total peace of mind heading home. If you prefer "fancy" workers in suits and overpriced "free" coffee from a dingy old coffee pod machine while getting charged dealership premiums, go elsewhere. But if you want quality work done by down-to-earth people who treat you like a human rather than a target for upselling, give this place a go. 10/10 experience.

DO NOT TRUST THEIR BOOKING SYSTEM. IT LIES. I've been a…read moreloyal customer for many years but this is the limit. Too many times I have made an appointment only to find, upon coming there, that the good people on the ground at the shop are completely overbooked and understaffed, and the wait is hours or they can't do it that day. They say the corporate booking system pays no attention to what they actually have booked that day. The offshore human operator does not have access to the information they need so they give one an appointment that doesn't actually exist. There isn't a way to call the actual shop. The employees at the actual shop has always been very helpful, and they say they are very frustrated with the system. It undermines employees who are trying to do their best and it is completely disrespectful of customer's time. No more Tire Warehouse.

DO NOT USE MICHTELLS IN Chester / Springfield VT!…read more **keep in mind this is our only vehicle and we're a single income family** Never using that fucking auto company that screwed me over! The owner is high as a kite doesn't even remember me calling him two days ago and him telling me that he has Covid and then he tries to tell my husband oh I've never spoken to your wife I've never had Covid this is total bullshit my car is now broken! Wouldn't even let me get a word in because he's slurring his speech high as a kite telling me that he has to look it over all the paperwork and will take in five seconds never called me back. I had to call him multiple times leaving multiple messages and still won't return my calls. Than finally today my husband and I called when this happened! Two weeks ago brought my car in to get fixed by this auto company that is local. I understand the mechanic at the location got injured understandable but the other location had no back up plan kept leaving us hanging and not returning my calls giving me the runaround. Friday I had to literally drive up to their location and find out my car never got worked on after they told me it would so drive to their other location they're telling me their phones aren't working but yet they're making phone calls out to try to get a hold of the office manager. Office manager again gives me while I'm not sure what we're gonna do. I said I can't be without a car for two weeks I have doctors appointment which I've been canceling because of them. They then told me on Saturday I hope your car is done. Well Saturday evening I go out after they've said my car is all put back together and all of a sudden my traction light comes on. Then my brake lights flashing call them let them know they still can't tell me when this can get fixed telling me it's safe to drive etc. Then the shop manager tells me to call him Monday morning because he'll know whether or not his mechanic will be back in because he got a follow up doctors appointment after having the surgery which is fine. But then never called me I have to call him at 10 AM tells me well he's still going to be out we don't know when he's gonna be back well you would think with the follow up doctors appointment they would have an idea when he can return to work. But again I say OK as long as I can drive it Go out to drive it in my car stuck in the parking brake can't even move it my husband had to get it out now they're trying to say oh maybe it's the parking brake really because that wasn't an issue Then today I have to go to urgent care because I got something in my finger I go to leave and now my tire is up in to my wheel well. I never had these issues prior to having the work done. I know I did have certain worked on yes control arms ball joints and they said it's all good to go yet this fucking happens I gave them $1329 and now I might not even have a car at the end of us and they already cash the check before I can stop payment. I have screen shots of and photos! I have more photos than this but will not post all.

a lot better…read more. HOLMES ONE STOP AUTO SHOP - A REVIEW PART 1: WHAT HAPPENED? Driving north on Rte 93 from Boston to Woodstock, VT for a family wedding, I noticed that the temperature gauge on my car had suddenly leapt to Hot, and smoke was pouring out. I pulled over and called AAA. After looking it over, the driver said he couldn't repair it. We were 65 miles from Woodstock, and he towed it all the way. In Woodstock, he stopped at Holmes One Stop Auto Shop. And there we left my car with a note. The next day, I talked to Mike from Holmes, who said the car couldn't be fixed; I'd have to install a new engine which they could do, or I could just leave it there. I called Mike a couple of weeks later, to ask him to put in a new engine. He said okay, and that it it would take several weeks. The day it was to be ready, I traveled back to Woodstock, arriving at Holmes at the agreed upon time. But it wasn't ready. The owner, Jason, said to come back in 3 or 4 hours. "You'll have to stay the night and pick it up on Saturday," were Jason's first words when I got there. I was stunned. After all the weeks they'd had to do the work on my car, it wasn't ready and they were willing to leave their customer stuck with no car and nowhere to stay late on a Friday afternoon?? Then he added that the problem with my car wasn't serious. The part they were waiting for was just a "little $5.95 Ambient Temp Sensor with 3 (not 2) prongs" that would arrive the next day. He said I could have someone at home install it, and offered to take me for a drive to show me the problem and how to handle it. Driving up and down the country road in front of their shop, It didn't seem like a big problem. I decided to drive it home. As I paid them the $5700 for the new engine, I was pleased to see there was a warranty on parts and labor, too. Driving home was very different from the little back road ride with Jason. On a highway with higher speeds and a lot of other cars, i stayed in the right lane. My car would slow down, speed up, slow down, over and over; I tried to do as Jason had said,"stay at an even speed," but in the "slow" right lane cars behind me honked for me to speed up, and some just zoomed around me. It was a long and fraught trip back to Massachusetts. At home that night I dropped it off at our local filling/auto repair station, with a note to C and M, the mechanics, about the necessary part. PART 2: TROUBLE: The next day one of the two mechanics, M, called to tell me that he couldn't find a "3-pronged Ambient Temp Sensor" at any of their suppliers. I did a search, too, and called, or drove from dealer to dealer; no one had it. I saw one for $45.00 online and ordered it, specifying "3 pronged". It arrived with 2 prongs. I returned it. I called, texted and emailed Mike and Jason several times over the next week, to ask for the correct part number or to simply send me the My calls for help with the car part evolved into calls about the warranty. Mike answered one day to tell me that they, Holmes One Stop Auto Shop, had to do the repairs for repairs/parts to be covered under the warranty. I reminded him he'd sent me home in a car that wasn't completely repaired, and they'd told me my mechanic could do it. Did that invalidate my warranty? He said he'd call my mechanics the next day and I gave him the number. HE NEVER CALLED THEM. Jason was always busy--never took calls, from me, anyway, no matter how I tried to reach him. He had texted me several times with "sales promo messages" about things like, I should make an appointment to come in for an oil change, or to tell me how happy he was that my car was running smoothly. In sum, my calls to Holmes Auto shop were completely ignored. -REPAIRS HERE AT HOME: Finally, after $550 more repairs here at home, through the persistence of my two mechanics, C and M, my $5700 "new" old engine was running smoothly! PART 3: SHOULD I WRITE A REVIEW? Why am I writing a Review of Holmes One Stop Auto Shop in Woodstock, VT? A friend who owns an auto repair shop in another state tells me, "What Jason and Mike have been doing is commonplace in the field of auto repair. Happens all the time! You'll never hear from them. You just have to take your losses and let it go!" His wife added, "But write a review! They may respond when they see it". So, I wrote a review. Online Holmes One Stop Auto Shop seems to have a near-perfect stack of 5-star reviews praising them for their service, expertise, how they go above and beyond to help their customers who Do they ignore only non-locals, I wonder... If my friend, the auto repair shop owner, is right, Holmes must have enough compadres in New England also using this avoidance trick to know that it works, at least on people they don't know. Let my review be a warning: Think twice before you make a stop at Holmes One-Stop Auto Shop if you don't live in the area. Candy F.
