We had a great winter paddle. The Little Manatee River is a welcome natural respite from the sprawl. Staff was very welcoming. They gave very clear direction about the route, picnic and restroom stop options and more. Our daughter and niece (both nearly 5) loved the trip! Only thing I would do different next time is to pack a full picnic lunch.

This place is awesome. Staff is friendly and funny! You get in the water at the Canoe Outpost and float down river. They picked us up in a bus at the pick up spot and drove us back too, so no shuttling your own cars. The entire trip took 3 hrs! We had a large group (18 people total). We had a great time. They also have a camp ground. The restrooms were easy to find and clean.

Great location for some local river water access and getting one with nature. This family biz with Brian Sr. , Brian Jr. and Anita is well ran and has always been a pleasure to deal with. Your safety is ALWAYS number one with them. We will be returning here for Many Many years to come.

Had a great day kayaking down the Little Manatee River. The 5 miles took less than 3 hours of paddling. It was completely silent and peaceful for most of the way. Just a great day to be on the water. We saw lots of turtles and manatees--including a big mama and her calf--and one sleepy gator. There were several other kayaks and a canoe out at the same time. We've definitely gotta do this again--though it appears we're buying our own kayaks soon. It's a pretty professional operation and the folks are mostly nice. The gal at the counter isn't people-friendly but the others were very cool. They said they'd be at the pickup place on the hour and they were right on time. It cost us $75 for two people, everything included. Insurance for equipment loss or damage is only $1 extra.

What a great experience! Brian and Anita were super nice and gave us great information and instructions. Their kayaks were very nice, clean and comfortable. It is a 6 mile run to the place where you get out. We were getting tired at the end, but it was a beautiful trip filled with natural beauty. Highly recommend this canoe adventure!

Loved it! This was my second time at the Outpost and it did not disappoint. I went during a low tide but was able to purchase swim shoes for an affordable price and managed to only get stuck once. It took us about 2.5 hours to complete and we saw 4 alligators.

Had a great time on the Little Manatee River. It was my son's first canoe trip and we loved it. Saw a few alligators and tons of beautiful turtles! We will definitely visit again when we are in the area

Great kayak!!! Seen 3 manatees, many turtles, fish and birds. Shuttle service was professional, Courteous, and prompt. Will be back to do again.

Comes equips with propane grill, charcoal grill, fire pit, and picnic table. First wood is very reasonable here at the outpost.

The pictures do not do this place any justice. CAMP HERE! The sign by the road is small, and it's an immediate turn in, park on the camping side is easy and plenty of space. We stayed at the studio cabin, it's secluded from the other areas. Cabin was clean, smelled good, fully furnished - you won't have to pack your entire home. Park is clean and well maintained. John and Jordan did an amazing job during our kayak adventure, Super helpful, available for any questions, also polite and respectful, amazing team. Absolutely an amazing little Gem.

What a great little getaway for the family! Dog friendly is a plus!! We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin and we were living like kings!! Tons of space and a lot of amenities! #GlamingDoneRight Brian the camp host was great!! We will definitely be back soon!!

Reservations not required, but easy enough to make. We called the day before and reserved two Kayaks. Option to request sit-on vs sit-in were allowed. Payment due the day off, not at time of reservation. Reservations were for the day, so you do not have to commit to a time, which is nice. Staff was friendly and provided instructions and map prior to setting off the approximately 6-mile course (about 2.5 hrs). Pickup at the end of the 6 miles was on the hour, every hour. The river is a black water river (think of it like a dark tea. Still able to see a few feet, but not all the way down).

As of today Trip 2 is still advertised. But apparently they aren't offering it anymore...

Absolutely worth it for both the quality and the experience. Every single visit, the bartenders and valet team have been beyond amazing--welcoming, attentive, and just genuinely great at what they do. It makes such a difference. I've been working my way through the starters menu, and not a single appetizer has missed. Everything has been delicious so far. I felt like the sauce was too sweet for the fritters itself. You couldn't really taste the conch it felt like it got hidden by the dough flavors rather than complimented by it. loved the French toast though!! Super fluffy I loved how everything paired well with one another the apples, blueberries, Nutella and marshmallow topping. The hangover hash was also quite enjoyable. The prime rib pulled apart easy and was super flavorful. Save yourself the money by not getting the florentine omelet. The others on the menu carry because this omelet was bland.

A five star experience for lunch…read more I came here for lunch with two other people. Our reservation was for 1 pm. We left about 230 although I'm sure we could've been in and out in an hour if we needed to be. The parking lot had tons of empty spaces for lunch. We started with the oceanic role, which was very good. Then for my main, I got the seafood cob without bacon, I would highly recommend it was absolutely delicious. I also got a side of truffle fries because my sister wanted to try it. The truffle fries also had a good amount of Parmesan cheese on it. I would highly recommend if you like truffle fries it's not the super skinny kind it's slightly thicker, but delicious nonetheless. My sister got a fillet. She ate half of it and said it was pretty good. I'm sure she'll have her own review if you want more details on what she thought of her fillet. She also got a gin martini with a twist. They are not skimpy on their pours, they actually had more than one glass worth of martini so they had her take a couple sips so they could fill it back up to the top of the glass. It was very strong and two martinis meant she was definitely not OK to drive, so if you're the type of person that wants a two drink lunch, you might want to try a different drink or just go for one of these. Since I work for a healthcare tech startup I don't see people in suits that often so it was really interesting to me to see so many people in suits here for lunch. By 230 we were one of the only people left in the restaurant. There is tons of space so I don't think you have to worry about reservations if you're coming here for lunch. There is also a patio that is fully enclosed that has giant windows for you to see the lake outside, it looks like a beautiful place to sit. Our server was very nice and efficient, five stars for her. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch here.

First, our cocktails were a generous pour and perfectly made. I loved that my dirty martini was shaken and poured table side...plus the shaker with dirty ice and a little extra left for me as well...perfect touch! They definitely "had me at first pour!" Branden our server was awesome...attentive, friendly and very efficent. He was right on. Soups and my salad were delicious. Soups were nice and hot. All of our entrees were over the top delicious. I totally enjoyed the shrimp and grits...we don't get grits up north. Hubby thought his pork chop was Incredible and perfectly cooked. The Seabass also a winner and the crabcake was enjoyable for our fourth person. Usually just one meal is a standout but honestly all meals were standouts...but if I had to pick one it would be the pork chop. The restaurant is very comfortable, modern and a huge bar with comfy booths and lots of tables. Outside dining as well. Parking is tricky if the mall and Restaurants are crowded. We had a few hiccups but the customer service was A+ because of the exceptional service by "Kat". We also had the kitchen manager and manager make our acquaintance to check on our service and meal. My meal was great, I had the 8oz filet mignon with mash potatoes. But my wife had the burger w/o a bun and the cheese. The first one was extremely salty, the second one had the cheese but the third one was perfect. Her side was spinach. We also shared a cocktail which was the blueberry lemon splash, it was very delicious but very strong. Considering that I am not a drinker I had to water it down twice. A drinker would appreciate the heavy handed bartender who made ours. Our server "Kat" was beyond exceptional and very patient and understanding with us.

The marina setting is such a vibe, with dockside picnic tables, a tiki bar, and a small indoor space with a bar and a few tables. We were genuinely blown away by the quality of the food. Everything tasted incredibly fresh the menu says "caught and served same day," and it absolutely lives up to that promise. The blackened fish tacos were a standout and some of the best we've had. The Caesar salad dressing is made In house and is absolutely delicious! We added the blackened mahi and it was filling and delicious. I have mastered a homemade recipe and I'm hard to impress when it comes to Caesar . (We ordered it extra saucy) The only thing we didn't love was the grouper spread, but that was more of a personal preference--it leaned more toward a tuna fish style spread rather than the creamier version we were expecting. The service was great too, the waiters are obviously kept super busy in a spot like that but still managed to get the job done with a smile! Overall, this was easily some of the best food we've had in Florida in the 10 years we've been coming here for spring break. We'll definitely be adding this spot to our yearly rotation.

We started with the crispy pork belly, which looked a little on the drier side when it arrived but don't let that fool you, the brown sugar bourbon glaze it was dressed in was delicious. Surprisingly mild on flavor despite the toppings, and it's a BIG boy... which I know some people love, but I tend to prefer a smash burger so I'll take partial responsibility for that note! The fries, however, were excellent... textured, crispy, exactly how fries should be. The real standout of the visit was the chilaquiles (the chef's brunch special). It ran a little dry, but the flavors more than made up for it. The combination of crunchy tortilla chips, smoky sauce, pickled onions, egg, avocado, and cilantro all together was just so good... my boyfriend was equally obsessed. Would absolutely order again. Service was great and overall had a really enjoyable visit... Stillwaters continues to deliver a solid experience and I'll keep coming back!
