Great time cruising the Hillsborough River. Plenty of room on board and seats so you don't feel cramped. Had concerns about the lack of a head (restroom) on the boat, but Captain Chris has great knowledge of the river and was able to drop us at a public pier just a short walk to restrooms. Highly suggest grabbing a mojito at the Columbia Cafe, delicious. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting wet, or boots, as river water will occasionally get splashed up through the slat flooring. Much larger hull that the typically octagon shaped Tiki craft we've experienced in other cities which makes for a pleasant cruise with plenty of room to move about. Highly recommend if you want to see Tampa from a water perspective. read more

I contacted every tiki boat company in Tampa to get quotes for my daughter's 21st birthday. Pirate Tiki's was by far the most customer friendly (others were downright rude) and tried to accommodate all my requests to the best that was possible. We had a group of 8 and the USCG placed their capacity at 6 even though their boats are MUCH bigger than their competitors (increased capacity to 12 coming soon- YEAH!). Chris worked with me to make this birthday party work and our fearless Captain Paula helped to plan the switcheroo we had to do so that everyone got a chance to enjoy the party. Amazing cruise on the Hillsborough River aboard this fun tiki boat ! My friends and I were picked up at the Armature Works public docks and cruised the river to the Convention Center along the Riverwalk. So scenic! Even caught an amazing sunset with the Gasparilla Ship in view. The tiki boat is very big and spacious with lots of seating around the center bar. BYOB and we were able to play our own music. Start to finish an awesome trip and will definitely be back for another cruise ! Highly recommend as one of the most fun and most Tampa thing you can do. read more

We had an awesome experience on our Pirate Tikis tour of Tampa Bay! It's a very roomy boat with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy and move around. This Tiki boat is much more comfortable and feels safer than some of the tiny tikis. It's also very tiki festive! We felt super special as we cruised around the river walk area enjoying moonrise over Tampa, a beautiful sunset, and the holiday lights. Photographers will love this vantage point for photographing our beautiful city. We will definitely be doing another excursion soon. Thanks for a great time. read more

My boyfriend and I have taken visitors on Pirate Tikis twice since we moved here 8 months ago! We are obsessed with the views on the Hillsborough River. You get to cruise through the city and pass by kayaks, boats, sometimes dolphins!Our first time we got a private tour and it was wonderful. We were able to choose our pick up and drop off location (she dropped us off right at dinner on the Tampa Bay Riverwalk!) The second time we did the public and had so much fun! Kicked off our Thanksgiving weekend with some of our dear friends on pirate tiki boat. We enjoyed a beautiful evening with breathtaking sunset with incredible views of Tampa. Our knowledgeable captain sailed up and down Hillsborough River while we enjoyed some of our favorite foods and drinks. Absolutely a great time! We had so much fun and Paula was an awesome host. We were a bit "high maintenance" customers with us having to go back to parking because someone left a wallet. She just went out of her way to make sure we had a good time and we really appreciate the good time. Several mimosas and bathroom stops later we ended our tour and our trip to Tampa with a bang. I've been aboard for multiple trips and each has been memorable. Time flies while hanging with friends and sipping favorite beverages while the captain expertly navigates this brilliant tiki bar barge through Tampa to see the sights along the mighty Hillsborough River. There is plenty of room aboard, and the captain said the owners are working to hopefully get US Coast Guard approvals for more than just 6 passengers. It's a party, regardless! read more

I booked this for my sisters bachlorette weekend we did in the St. Petersburg area. We had 6 ladies with us and were greeted by Paula. She was friendly and easy to talk with. The boat was larger than expected and provided plenty of room for both dancing and sitting under the shaded tiki. Very nice Tiki Boat ride around Tampa Riverwalk area and back by Armature Works . Gives nice views of Tampa's best areas and local things to do. Boat is BYOB FYI however includes cooler with ice. Our Captain Paula was nice and was able to semi customize our route for bathroom stops along the way. Will definitely be using them again! read more
