I received a defective product and followed the store's 7-day return policy exactly, including bringing back the packaging and receipt. The store refused to exchange it after briefly testing it and instead suggested I buy a new battery. I did, and the cartridge still does not work. When I tried to escalate the issue, I was denied help and labeled "problematic," which is not accurate. A previous issue I had with this business involved a cartridge malfunction that raised safety concerns, it blew up ! Shattered while medicating !! so this pattern is concerning. Despite following their instructions and making additional purchases, I was left with a defective, unusable product and no resolution. This experience reflects very poor customer service and a lack of accountability. I have submitted a formal complaint with the California Department of cannabis control ....and corporate office!!

    I am writing this because of a clear case of product misrepresentation at Embarc Martinez. While…read morethe floor staff was friendly, management's refusal to rectify a factual error on the business's part is unacceptable. The Issue: Misrepresentation and Financial Loss On 2/6/26, I visited specifically to transition to a reusable battery system. A staff member recommended the "Timeless" pen, explaining it was an all-in-one unit that functioned as a reusable base for future cartridges. Based on this expert advice, I purchased the unit plus an additional cartridge. I was told to test it for defects within 24 hours, which I did. It worked, so I had no reason to return it within that window. Attached is a photo of what the staff sold me, clearly demonstrating their intent to sell me a swappable base. Just in case anyone thinks the staff member who sold it to me was confused about my initial request, he was not. I am positive there was no miscommunication. The Failure: A few days later--well before the included cartridge was even half-spent--we attempted to swap it for the second cartridge I had purchased. Because we were sold this as a "swappable" system, we followed the instructions given to us. However, it was physically impossible to remove the cartridge. In the process of trying to use the product as it was marketed to us, the glass broke. Upon further inspection, we realized the truth: This was not a reusable vape. It was a disposable unit sold under the false pretense of being a threaded, reusable battery. Because of this misinformation, I lost the entire value of a nearly full, premium cartridge. Management's Response: I returned on 2/17/26 to point out the false sale. The staff on-site were shocked to realize the product was not reusable; they admitted they had been under the same false impression as the original salesperson. However, the supervisor on shift refused any remedy--not even a partial discount--simply because I was beyond the 24-hour window. The supervisor called this a "learning moment" for the store. While I'm glad the store "learned," it is not the customer's responsibility to bear the financial burden of a store's training error. I am out the cost of the hardware and a full cartridge of product due to their mistake. Conclusion: This wasn't a "change of mind" return; it was a false sale. Selling a product as something it is not is a violation of consumer trust. I am happy to update this review if the matter is properly remedied with the refund I am owed, but until then, I cannot recommend a business that lacks the integrity to own its mistakes.
