Love the Canyon. More importantly, my dogs love it. Good people, flexible hours, always accommodating.Five stars!

We've been bringing our Bernese Mountain Dogs to Canine's Canyon (the "Canyon") for 18 years. Virtually since they opened. We began using them for daycare, to socialize our guys while we were at work. then we began boarding them there - I think the longest stay was days? Then we started having them groomed there too, lol - now we're talking full service! Obviously we've known nearly everyone who's worked there . Our opinion? They are simply The Best. Our big guys Levi & Noah get so excited when my husband asks if they want to go to the Canyon , that Levi starts squeaking and they both dance around maniacally . I brought our new puppy Micah in just so the owners and crew could meet him - twice! We'd give them 10 stars if we could. The few critical reviews I've seen are unfathomable and contrary to all I've known in our _thousands_ of experiences. read more

We have just recently started going to Canine's Canyon when our groomer, Jen, started working here. Hands down, she is the B E S T! We have two spaniels, and she does such a wonderful job with them. Not only do they have the best cuts they've ever had, but she's also really good with them. Our springer spaniel has terrible anxiety, and Jen is so patient and gentle. We highly recommend her if you're in need of a groomer! read more

Jen the New Groomer did an Awesome job with my two girlies, who have Loved Going to "Play All Day" @ CCs for over 4 years now. Jen confirmed grooming instructions with me verbally before starting. Esp wonderful for my very wirehaired, a much needed "Spring Deshed". Disposition at pickup was Super Happy, like on Play Days - V. Pleasant First! Thank You Jen! read more

We got a new rescue dog and she needed socializing. After meeting with Jen and an orientation visit, we knew this was the ideal place for our new pup! It is now over a year later and we are still extremely happy we found Canine's Canyon. We have had serious family health issues that had required us to leave her unexpectedly. Always no worries! The staff is always pleasant and happy to see us. They were very flexible when we were out of town and easily added 2 extra nights. They stick to the necessary shots and isolate the occasional unsociable dogs. All good for us! Met the owner who is semi-retired. Lovely lady! Lisa Evergreen read more

I recently boarded my dog at Canines Canyon. When I went to pick her up she was at the vet on an IV. Gracie had wounds on both ankles which Canines Canyon "knew nothing about." They said they really couldn't take care of a dog that old (12 years). Meanwhile, they had no problem taking the $400 fee from me. (Had I known then what I know now, I never would have paid.). We have spent thousands of dollars on Gracie's recovery, and luckily she is now on the road to healing. (After picking her up after her stay at Canines Canyon, I thought I was going to lose her.). Dog owners beware. read more

We used to board our dog here, as sometimes we both travel for work. You can tell they do love dogs here, but ever since we started boarding ours at Canine's Canyon, he picked up some bad behavior traits like aggression, threatening to bite, etc. These were never issues until we started boarding him here. They allow the dogs to play together during the day, which the dogs enjoy but obviously there's a negative byproduct of that, where the aggression isn't regulated well enough. We finally decided to stop sending him here after he got Bordatella two visits in a row. They were unwilling to refund us for vet bills on the second case, after we had easily given them over $1000 in boarding costs already. We moved to another facility since ad have been happy with the results and treatment of our pet. read more

I recently took my dog Denali here to stay for a few days while I was out of town. After I picked him up, I noticed bloody, matted fur around his neck that, after a couple days, became infected badly. After I took him to the vet, where he was treated, I contacted Canine's Canyon for potential reimbursement for the medical bill, where they flat-out refused to help with the costs. This tells me they obviously didn't watch my dog well over those few days, or they would have noticed, as I did, the large bloody mess around his neck. What really angered me was their refusal to accept responsibility for this matter, citing that "sometimes scrapes and cuts happen." I couldn't believe that after being a long-time customer they would treat me this way, so now I'll be going elsewhere for my boarding, and recommend you do the same. **Note, the photo I shared of my dog's neck was about 9 days after the incident occurred. Although it still looks pretty bad, you can imagine it was much worse when he came home initially** read more

This place ROCKS! I have never found another canine facility that I and my dogs have been this happy with. The staff is friendly and treat the animals very well. The facilities themselves are comfortable for the dogs AND the best part, the dogs get to spend a good amount of time each day outside enjoying the fresh mountain air. During the summer time, they even have little pools set up for them to play around in. And when they get dirty, the grooming by Natty is always exceptional. I would not even consider taking my dogs any place else. They love it here and I love it here too. With no hesitation, I recommend Canine's Canyon to friends and coworkers .. if you want a safe, secure and uber friendly place to leave your animals at, THIS IS IT! PS, they do have a cat area too!! read more

I completely echo Ashley M.'s review. I took my dog here a couple weeks ago and he received the WORST haircut ever in his 8 years of life. Like Ashley, I asked for a "puppy cut" on the face but clearly they don't know what that means as it was cut super short all around his face. And the hair on his body is so uneven. Poor dog - his new name is TURD until it grows back... read more

Canine Canyon's people love the dogs and it shows. One day, my dog got loose and was picked up in my neighborhood by a Domino's Pizza truck driver. He didn't know what to do with her, so he took her to the best place he knew---Canines' Canyon. I was frantically running up and down mountain trails hoping a mountain lion hadn't made a snack out of my Phoebe, who is a French Bulldog. My phone rang, and it was Steve, of CC, telling me she was safe and sound with them. I was so relieved. Love them. read more

The folks at Canine's Canyon always take great care of our little Helton when we go out of town. They are friendly and affordable and the best part is, when we get him back he's exhausted from playing hard with other dogs! I highly recommend this business! read more

Well, the first couple of times my pup was groomed were good, but this time was such a disaster that it's worth a review. My dog's hair is completely uneven, not cut as instructed (teddy bear face and fluffy body), and he's acting so skittish that I'm wondering what happened while he was there. I called and talked to the groomer, and she apologized and offered to cut his face again once it grows out some, but I don't think we want to try again. I can't stand spending good money on terrible service. read more

These guys false advertise and cannot be trusted. Their website indicates $55 a day, but once you are in the door they quote you a higher price. Their website claims they dont require influenza vaccines, but once you get in the door, they do. Baiting customers is sleazy and dishonest. read more

I'm so upset by the "grooming" my bernedoodle just received. It was his first time there and I spent time talking with the groomer when I dropped him off. I told her I've been brushing him a lot with a matting comb and wanted him kept long not shaved like some groomers. She said if he was matted that's an extra 25. I said ok. My husband picked him up and he was TOTALLY shaved to the skin. Even worse it was choppy and uneven. I had to trim long clumps at home. They should hav3 been embarrassed and not even charged us the 65. My husband is furious. We will never go back. He's also a little skittish anDo very needy since he got home. Soooooo sad. read more

Canine Canyon is beyond grooming and boarding. They treat each pet that walks in their door like family! Their kindness and generosity towards pets and their families is incredible. We recently lost our dog and they were so helpful in recovering records, treating our other dog to doggie day care and a bath and gave us a beautiful sympathy bouquet. We are life time clients! Jen, Sean and the whole crew are exceptional!!! xoxo read more

This place is awesome! We have been taking our dogs here since June 2012 and they love it here. The people who work here genuinely love dogs and it shows in everything they do. I am absolutely disappointed with Canines Canyon and urge all pet owners to check their animals religiously. Our dog Luke has been going to day care there for nearly a year, it was a truly wonderful experience until about 2 or 3 months ago. It seems as though there has been a lot of change over and much of the staff is not nearly as friendly as the previous group. Today we picked up Luke and he had a gash on his head. We were not given a phone call or even notification when we picked him up. It wasn't until the gash was noticed by my husband, did anyone even try to explain the circumstance. Though the daycare agreed to foot the vet bill (staples in his head), the sheer lack of concern was inexcusable. Apparently since they had decided to pay the bill we should have understood their lack of proper care. As we completely understand that dogs play hard and sometimes don't get a long, a phone call or explanation would have been the best professional practice. Obviously we will NOT be returning!!!!! The groomer Patty at Canines Canyon is extremely unprofessional. She charges inconsistently and does not communicate changes upfront. She is also disrespectful of your time and your dog is not ready when expected and services are sometimes incomplete. Overall communication and customer service is not present. When I reached out to owner to discuss business practices, he was completely unaware but also uncaring. His response was to stop going to their facility. No kidding. Positive reviews of grooming services were prior to their current groomer. read more

Yesterday I took a tour of this boarding kennel / "day spa" / grooming center (they have it all) and was VERY impressed. I live a short distance from the facility, and after moving up here in 2002, was excited to learn that they existed. In 2004 we planned a vacation and had to board our dog. I went to CC to check them out and, at that time, would not have left my worst enemy there let alone a precious pet. A couple of years later CC was under new management. Since we don't take many vacations, I hadn't been in to see how or if things had changed. Now I know and am here to tell you, this place is a whole 'nuther world from the old place. It's clean, friendly, Sean at the front desk offered me the tour and is a gem, the dogs in the play yards looked happy and calm. In the dog kennel area, you would not know that there were any pets in there because it is spotless and there are no animal odors to speak of. Next week we will be boarding our little dog at CC and know she will be very well taken care of (and probably have a blast playing with the others). I recommend you check out their web site, like I did before going up there, and what you see on their site is what I saw in person. Anyhoo, so far I like what they have done to improve the facility. read more

The first time I saw this place was about four years ago when I just popped in to check it out. They gave me a complete tour of the facility, with no advance notice. I had never seen a cleaner, more organized kernel, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Since then, my two little dogs have boarded here every year when we've gone on vacation and have come at least a couple of times a month for day care, just to keep them socialized. I get their nails trimmed here and have always been happy with both the boarding and grooming services. I just couldn't ask for more from a kernel. read more

I would not recomend Canines' Canyon. I've taken my dogs there for years and I've always loved them, but this last time one of my dogs got kennel cough and the other one fell seriously ill due to an unexplained chemical burn to her tongue. While she was there she had to be hospitalized and could have died. When we returned home, we took her to our vet and she thought the same thing as the the Canines' Canyon's vet, that it looked like her tongue had been burned physically or by a chemical. She had several rounds of antibiotics and pain pills before she recovered. However her tongue still bares the marks of a mysterious burn. When I asked Natty to reimburse me for my vet bills and the boarding costs, she was outraged and screamed at me telling me she bit her own tongue and that I should be thankful they saved her life. She then hung up on me. I have since sent her an email with pictures and a vet diagnosis explaining why this was not a self inflicted bite wound and how her tongue issue could have only been caused by human error, such as bleach left on the floor or another strong cleaning material. She has never responded, let alone apologized to me. read more
