I went through Cis' training over two years ago, but the lessons have greatly stuck with my dog! Recently, a ball was kicked into the street where he started to run into the street as a car was coming, but due to Cis' Street Smarts training, I was able to call out Street and he stopped promptly at the curb. Cis of Canine Intelligence Agency did a great job helping us train our puppy! We brought him home and quickly realized we needed to get into training ASAP. Cis is the best! I first found out about the magic of what Cis does from my step-brother's amazing dogs behavior. Samantha was the best behaved and responsive dog I have ever encountered. 15 years ago when we got our own dog I called Cis. She trained our Gracie to be street aware, well behaved and also have fun. With Cis' training it was easy for us to take our dog anywhere and every issue we might have encountered Cis gave us the tools to easily handle it all. We just got a new puppy and before she came to our home I called Cis to see if she was still training with Covid. Just had our first class and think the space she has built is great! My fiance and I rescued a puppy from a shelter and were so excited to bring her home. We quickly realized though we were in over our heads. Enter CIA! After a few weeks with Cis, our pup was changed and we were changed parents! Cis taught us how to establish trust with our pup and worked on her temperament issues. The puppy classes were great at focusing her, teaching her commands and street rules, and socializing her with other pups. Cis' class is like no other class. You work on the streets and in the parks of Chicago, not in the confines of a single room or barrier. But even better than what she did for our pup was what she did for us. Cis Frankel's CIA (Canine Intelligence Agency) was an unbelievable experience for our 4 month-old puppy! Cis' knowledge of dogs really helped us understand our dog's behavior, why he reacts the way he does and what we can do to make him a fun, happy, well-tempered dog. The classes were held all over Lincoln Park - from a heated garage/puppy playhouse, to a fenced in parking lot, the park, the beach and on the street with live traffic. We experimented with taking our dog off his leash and having him find us as we hid. We told him how to wait at the streets when cars came - and how to play with others that were varying sizes and ages. After a two-month class, our dog got great socialization experiences as well as a toolbox full of training tips and tricks, where none of them are the word 'no.' Cis's attention to each dog and their owners made us feel really important and that she really cared about each dog learning and becoming socialized. I hope to sign up for another round some day soon! Would 100% recommend the CIA for all dogs and puppies! read more

NO SOCIAL DISTANCING. So let me be honest, Cis is an a great dog trainer for private training. However, she has almost zero sense of how to run a business or a group class except collecting your money. She lacks Organization, starting one class with "so, what do you guys want to learn today"? Sure she has a book, which she hands out with glee at the end of the first class, then promptly never refer's to it again? She is too cheap to buy a commercial space, so frequently your in the hastily blocked off ALLEY (yeah, neighbors drive thru class) of her personal home where you can try to have a class when it's 99 degrees with no shade. Oh, her garage has air conditioning, but to save a buck, she wont turn that on. Her other favorite play place is the Oz park, where its illegal to take a dog off leash (she does it anyway). She. frequently plays favorites for her classes with owners, during inclement weather, she says folks who travel farther are the determinant of if the class will be postponed? In the end, we stopped going after another owner accused us of treating there dog for bad behavior, when we pointed out it was not true, Cis came over quickly to scold us for rewarding one of her "favorite" customers pet? She does not insist on Dog's medical records, so your taking a big chance. I have tried several services and I can say highly organized, commercial space places with documented training plans, required medical records, videos, and a website are the best option (and are cheaper). So save your money and go elsewhere (I went with Tucker). read more

Cis is amazing and a true dog (and owner!) whisperer. She has a gift for training dogs and teaching you to do the same. She truly loves what she does and her love for training is contagious to both owners and pets. We started with her when we rescued our pup at 8 weeks and he learned so much from both Cis' puppy classes and individual training. He is a happy well adjusted dog and the highlight for him is playing all the training games that we learned from Cis. Of course he can sit stay and fetch but he can also clean up his own toys, walk on the curb without going into the street and many other amazing things. Cis also always goes above and beyond. We have texted her whenever we had a question on everything from what kind of tooth paste to buy to what the best treats are to how to make sweet potatoes for stomach upset and she always takes time to help in anyway she can. Cis Frankel of CIA is amazing! We have known her for 9 years when we first came to her to train our golden when she was a puppy. We took both the group lessons and privates and I can honestly say that our dog is so well trained and social with other dogs because of the great training we had and love Cis has shown her and us over the years. Our dog adores her so much that sometimes I am jealous (ha!)! We have continued to use her weekly for our dog to have social interaction and exercise because we know how much our dog loves Cis and the other dogs she has grown up with. Cis has also spent a generous amount of time with me over the years on the phone or in person giving helpful tips for our dog. She is truly an incredible trainer and a wonderful person. Cis, at CIA, is THE dog whisperer! We rescued our sheperd-collie mix from Paws, and started group training with Cis about a week after adoption. Our pup, at the time 7-months old, did not know much - how to climb stairs, walk on a leash, or even respond to her name. But, the second Cis took command of the leash, she had our dog sitting, staying, jumping, rolling, dropping, and heeling, commands our dog, and certainly us, had never even used before! Two years later, and we continue to attend class with Cis. Our dog is ecstatic as soon as she realizes it's "training day." It's an awesome opportunity for her to socialize with her pup friends, reinforce acquired skills, and challenge herself to new tasks. Cis is incredibly attentive, patient, encouraging, and committed. She answers our phone calls and texts immediately, and provides help and reassurance whenever we need, in and outside of class. I would highly recommend introducing your dog to Cis; I don't know where we'd be without her! read more
