I was in Lonsdale after spending all day helping my in-laws move into their new apartment on the…read moreedge of town. It was time to call it a day, and I needed to get fuel. So I stopped at the gas station and ordered a pizza. I had left my keys in the car and my teenager turned the radio on while I was waiting inside. Of course my truck wouldnt start when I returned. The battery was overdue for a new one. There was someone else there that tried to jump it but the thing wouldnt get enough to turn over. The gas station workers were quite young and didnt think that anyone sold them in town but they said there was a big car shop that I could walk to downtown. It was 8 pm and I figured it was closed by now but I had decided to try anyway. They were indeed closed but their was someone inside still so I knocked and it was the owner. He was able to sell me a new battery and he even sold Interstate brand, so I couldnt have been happier. He drove me back to my truck and even switched it out and disposed of the old one. I stopped in the following day to say thank you again and see if he had time to do an oil change that week while I was going to be in town every day for moving and getting the apartment set up. He was able to do it right away. I ran next door to buy a few things I needed at the hardware store and was impressed that the truck was parked outside ready to go before I was done. I will keep this place in mind next time time I need an auto shop or an excuse to get away from the in-laws.

I have NOT bought a Car since 2006 and was never the type to Keeping Up with the Jones. Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. All in All I only spent $400 and my engine was running great. Please come over here! He won't rip you off with Lies about the car! 5 stars in my book especially coming from Chicago, IL.

I had my vehicle with them a couple months ago: Due to a miscommunication when a third party (my…read moremom ) dropped off my vehicle, the initial repair I had Park do on my van did not solve the problem (which at the end the day was on me). When I went back to work with them in person, I had a pretty negative bias going in, but after talking with the owner he gave me confidence he would solve the problem and he did. It was a pretty bizarre issue and even my more mechanically inclined buddies said it was a really tough one to track. (For the dorks: There was a single connector pin inside the fuel pump that was cracked in half, down inside the connector housing). They also took care of me in a way that I was very satisfied with with regards to cost.
