Sewn is an overpriced store selling used and antiquated clothes that will not honor returns…read more I came into Sewn searching for some cloth. The lady at the front desk was exceedingly helpful and even assisted me in selecting the correct type of fabric. I was shocked to see that the scrap fabric was grossly overpriced at $40, but after paying for the item, the shopkeeper stated I could bring back the fabric should I have any issues with it. A few days later, I came in to return the unused fabric, but a different shopkeeper was manning the cash register. This employee refused to refund me despite the receipt I produced. She stated that fabric was not returnable, which was never disclosed to me prior to purchase. Moreover, the previous employee who processed my transaction clearly stated I could return the fabric. Instead, I had to settle on store credit, which I begrudgingly spent on an overpriced vintage (aka used) button-up. Overall, I would not recommend Sewn for clothing or fabric. Sewn charges an unjustified premium and refuses to honor returns.

I would've bought a couple more items I saw but unfortunately it was a tad too pricy for the logical side of my wallet. I've worked in retail before and I can tell the difference between a good buy and a steep one-- that made a sharp turn at Overrated Ave. But hey-- if you don't mind shelling out some extra green to have something in your wardrobe that no one else will probably have then I say go for it! That's actually how I felt about this poly 1970's crazy ass looking shirt. I seriously doubt I'll find anyone else wearing this same exact shirt-- unless I find someone from the 70's jet back to this century in a time machine. You never know. I will point out one interesting detail when I got this poly rarity home. I noticed when I turned the shirt inside out for a wash, I saw a different color stitching on the inside of the collar that didn't match the rest of the original stitching. This indicates that this shirt was indeed repaired, which I can appreciate but it would've been nice to have it stitched the same color so that it appeared as if no repair was done to it-- BUT no biggie. The stitch job was a decent one and I guess that's what counts. My hope is that this vintage find will hold up for a few handful of wears-- maybe about 10 and I'll be a happy duck. Thanks TTPS y'all rocked my closet world!

Someone also had summery clothes laid out for people to take as needed. Made me smile. We passed a cool play structure for small kids in the shape of a honeycomb/hive, with chairs on the side for parents to rest and watch. The efforts of Denver to revitalize their downtown appear to be paying off. I would hang out there more if we lived nearby (between heading out to Golden or the Red Rocks Amphitheater;)). Worth visiting!

Every time I have visited the 16th Street area, I am always completely underwhelmed. They have some chain restaurants and stores and there are at leave some food options available but absolutely feels like something I would get in the car to go see. I mean they have some little displays with Denver sports legends (like Elway and Sakic) which is kind of cool, but again, there is nothing here to actually get excited about. Also, by 9 pm this place seems to turn into a ghost town. That really surprised me on both visits as well. In my opinion, you could walk through this area one time, take some pics and be done with it. So much space and nothing memorable about most of it. 2 stars.
