We wanted someone who could do both photography and videography, and that's when we found Stefan. From the very beginning, he was so kind and such a joy to work with. On our very first Zoom call, we already knew he was the one we wanted. At the time, he was in Germany--it was midnight for him, but 6 PM for us here in the States. Anyone willing to stay up that late just to get to know us is clearly dedicated to their clients! Even though we had already taken our own engagement photos, Stefan offered us a free session with him so we could get comfortable working together before the wedding. I'm so glad he did, because it made our actual wedding day so much easier and more relaxed. On the big day, Stefan and Colin were not only kind but also super attentive. Colin kept checking that we stayed hydrated (it was such a hot day!), and both of them made sure everything we needed was taken care of. Watching them work together was such a treat--they make a great team. So if you're on the fence about booking Stefan for photos or video--just do it! You won't regret it. He was amazing to work with; our meetings with him were fun and put us at ease while also being incredibly informative. Even though we were planning our wedding from out of town, we never had a difficult time getting in touch. Day of, he went above and beyond, traveling with us to a few locations for pictures and walking us through a variety of shots. He even stayed a bit late to make sure he captured everything we wanted when the reception was running behind schedule. He had a few preview photos ready to see before the reception even ended and had all the rest available for us to view in an easily accessible online gallery a few weeks later. His giffy booth was also a hit with our guests. Our photos turned out gorgeous! He has a great eye for the posed shots but was also great at capturing people smiling and having fun naturally, which is exactly what we wanted. I could not recommend anyone more highly.

Well I can tell you that the adults enjoyed his creations just as much as the younger people did. He was quick, friendly, funny, and amazing. I didn't hear a single request turned away. He made everything from animals, to crazy hats, to corsages, mickey mouse, etc. It was fun watching whatever he was making next. He was a definite highlight of the event. We initially met Carla at Château du Feÿ, where she was employed. After a disappointing experience with another planner, we hired Carla 5 months before our wedding, hoping her 3+ years of specialized venue expertise would be invaluable. To our surprise, Carla had not worked with half of our vendors before - even though they were part of the short list of recommended vendors provided by the venue. Despite her website's claims, Carla's design suggestions felt generic and lacked the personalized touch we were looking for. Carla's lack of attention to detail became increasingly apparent as we worked with her. Our wedding had many unique and custom details. Lots of information that a seasoned wedding planner would be able to keep an attentive handle on. The mounting oversights caused significant stress in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. We were genuinely anxious that our vision wouldn't be realized. Luckily, we had multiple vendors and family friends that helped Carla execute the event. As the bride, I distanced myself as much as possible from Carla to allow myself to enjoy the day without frustration. This is not the typical experience. While we appreciate Carla's willingness to take us on with short notice, and she did have some helpful insights regarding sourcing a local florist and unique videographers, her lack of attention to detail ultimately overshadowed those positives. At first I thought, "Well, I want beautiful invites but they don't need to be amazing. It's just paper." Wrong. After my first time looking at a Martha Stewart bridal magazine I whipped out my calculator and wondered where in my budget I'd find that extra GRAND for custom, letterpress, heavyweight paper invites. With ribbons. Calligraphy. Maybe even a BUTTERFLY would fly out like in Bridesmaids. That was Bride Brain taking over. A few clicks of the keypad and I realized I would not have butterflies or letterpress (certainly no puppy favors either). I took to the web and started searching, but nothing was really that great. Then comes some of my bride friends on Twitter posting about their amazing, custom invites that were crafted by a LOCAL biz. That was certainly something I could get into. I peeked at their goods at a bridal show I went to, then after seeing my Twitter-friends invites I got in touch with Rust Belt Love. Alyson is such a sweetheart, she's just someone cool that I'm glad to say was a vendor part of my big day. Our initial meeting was casual, we talked a bit about what I wanted my wedding to be like. We talked wedding "rules" and whatnot. I knew I had to have Alyson help me out with my invites! The process is simple, I threw out some vague words and ideas "English garden", "lavender", "pretty"... then she came up with three lovely designs. I again responded simply and then Alyson created an amazing design. So perfect. Then the proofs- awesome paper, she used somewhat sparkly paper for the under layer. Lovely. The colors were spot on and the paper looked and felt great. Mailing out my invites was painless... (besides being a bit behind schedule on my end... oops!) since they printed my return address on the back flap and I opted for calligraphy. So many friends and family gushed about how beautiful they were after receiving them, which was fantastic. The invites are a guests first impression of the big day, so I was so pleased that they got an awesome invite to introduce them. Our RSVP cards also had a bit of a "non traditional" RSVP option which so many people found to be adorable. I am so happy I was able to get the gorgeous invites I really wanted for my big day. Even more, I'm glad I got to support a cool lady and her local biz! I will continue to recommend them to all future brides I run in to!

I needed a professional headshot photo for work so I…read morecalled them a couple days before to find out about the price and availability and they we able to provide decent price and a time right away. They called me a day before to confirm my appointment and when I went to my appointment I was attended right away. Their studio seems to be a house garage which they redid the whole place. They took the pictures and thirty mins later they already send me an email to choose which photos I like so they can edit them. I got the results within an hour of taking the photo. Overall, great and fast photo studio around Amherst.

My husband and I just got married at The Admiral Room, and it's tough to know where to begin…read morebecause we have so many great things to say! This venue is so much more than just the gorgeous room and building. Every step of the process had a very personal touch. The Admiral Room staff were accommodating beyond what would be expected of a venue. If we needed or thought of anything at all, they were only a phone call away. Our favorite part of the planning stage was our 100-day meeting/food tasting. That's when we met Josh- who would ensure everything ran perfectly smooth, and Chris- the head chef. They were both the type of people who can meet you, and it just feels like you've known each other for a while already. We went over the menu and schedule of events in detail, but at the same time it felt like we were just hanging out. They were extremely willing to tailor every aspect of the event to exactly what we wanted. It was a welcome change from the normal stress of wedding planning. Thanks to this amazing team, our big day went even better than we could have imagined. We had guests coming up to us and complimenting every little thing, from the outstanding food, to the bar staff, and wait staff. Because of the built-in sound system, everyone could hear all of the ceremony. We had both a band & DJ for the reception, which both sounded great as well. The Admiral Room will always hold a special place in our hearts, and if we could do it all over again, we'd absolutely do it the same way. I will say that I was a little bummed that we weren't having our wedding here initially but seeing it changed my mind a bit. I'm not one of the most creative people so I don't have the vision that I've seen on social media.
