I really enjoyed my first visit to the Concord location. I stopped by on my way into work. The line wasn't too long but it's helpful if you already know what you want. The staff provided a nice greeting and was friendly throughout my brief visit. I tried the Strawberry Green Tea Lemonade & a slice the Cinnamon Swirl Loaf. Highly recommend both.

This was my first time checking out Canal Coffee and it definitely will not be my last! This was such a cute little drive up spot, and I was grateful it was drive up because I was in my PJs on this fine Sunday morning lol. The gal at the window was really nice and they got my order out really quickly. I ordered their vanilla lavender latte with oat milk and it was really good! Not too sweet, not too hot or too warm. I also tried their asiago bagel with cream cheese, I love that it came toasted but wasn't hard or too toasted. They give you cream cheese and a knife in a cute little box. The bagel was delicious and really fresh. I ordered my boyfriend their seasonal graham cracker latte and tasted it, of course. It was good too! Can't wait to come back and try more soon!!

Drive thru coffee where you do need to know your order before approaching the line. This place does tend to get busy and the line will build up behind you. Staff were helpful and recommended the matcha. Maple Matcha- 6/10 Flavor was different but enjoyable. The matcha was very gritty and was a bit off putting on my palette.

I wanted some good coffee, so my hubby and I came here and it was nice that it was not busy, but for our first time, we were unsure of what to try. The barista was super sweet helping us to decide what we wanted. I purchased the Sea Salt Caramel Macchiato and it was AMAZING!!! It wasn't too sweet nor was the sea salt taste strong. I have found a new spot when I don't make coffee at home. The prices were worth it and I will be coming back. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

The coffee I tried is great for the holidays! The staff was really cool and sweet. They offered me to try out their new drink menu. Definitely support the local coffee business over franchises

Great coffee shop. Fast and great customer service. I loved my coffee and cinnamon loaf. They have outside seating and two drive thru windows along with a walk up window.

Great little drive thru coffee shop by the speedway. I go here every time I go get my haircut, and it's such a treat. I like how earthy their coffee tastes. I always get a drink that's on the sweeter side, but it's still got that good rich coffee taste to it that I appreciate. Additionally, their breakfast sandwiches are really good, too.

My daughter called and when we arrived, we were lucky and was seated right away as a table was coming open. Small inside footprint but cozy with a full bar. Also outdoor patio seating. The hostess, our waitress and the walk around staff refilling water was top tier. Excellent customer service. Our waitress wasbbomb, I hate i forgot her name. Even though the place was packed she tooknour order in a timely manner, and kept checking on us be9fre we got our food,.kept us informed that the kitchen was busy but she on it. Allnifnkur food was delicious. My daughter had chicken and Belgium waffles, and I had the shrimp amd grits, my mom had a breast platter. All great choices. Give them a try!

Seriously. Everything has pork. I got a handheld egg sandwich with tomato and cheese on a croissant with their potatoes. Basic sandwich, dry and the cheese & tomato were an extra charge. The potatoes were hard like they're old. The mimosa was good, regular sparkling with pineapple juice. And their tip machine doubles the recommended amount so for my $9 mimosa it generates a +$3 tip at 18 % but it should have been under $2. Just wanted to point that out too. I won't be back.

A must stop for both dinner and Southern breakfast enthusiasts…read more On my way home from Charlotte, I used Yelp to find me a classic diner to start my day off right. I choose the Crack of Dawn Diner in Concord. I am so glad I did. Crack of Dawn Diner is the real thing--a local Concord breakfast-and-lunch spot serving traditional Southern fare at reasonable prices. The menu caters to local tastes, the dining room is filled with regulars, and the atmosphere is comfortable rather than trendy. Parking is somewhat limited. The private lot surrounding the restaurant was fully used so I parked in the lot next door that had signs that said private property, but it looked like other patrons were parking there also so I took the chance. As it turns out, it was safe to park there. The entrance is very welcoming, as well as the staff. Amanda was my very efficient and nice waitress. There is great teamwork here, and Amanda was well supported by, I believe, the owner who ran my food out and talked a bit with me. The menu is fascinating. A distinctly North Carolina menu. Several things jumped out: * Breakfast special for $6.59 weekdays * Breakfast plates mostly under $12 * Grits included as a side option * Livermush available * City ham and country ham both offered * Pork chops available for breakfast I ordered the country-fried steak with white gravy (essentially chicken-fried steak), along with two sunny-side-up eggs, perfectly prepared grits, a large buttermilk biscuit, and a delicious diner coffee. The restaurant occupies a stand-alone building with a warm, "come on in and rest a spell" atmosphere. Inside, you'll find counter seating, an open kitchen, and tables throughout the dining room. I chose a seat by the window overlooking the parking area. This was a great breakfast, that was reasonably priced, in a great atmosphere, with very nice people. It stuck to both my mind and ribs all day long. After breakfast, I continued on to downtown Concord and spent some time exploring one of North Carolina's most charming revitalized downtown districts. The breakfast was the perfect start to the morning. Crack of Dawn Diner has earned a spot on my repeat list whenever my travels take me through the Charlotte-Concord area.

I also ordered a side of green beans, they were also straight from the can. I also received a sweet tea, which was good but also how do you mess that up? And the kicker, $18 for that... should have stayed home. I was really hopeful for this place but after trying it twice and it was just as bland, I unfortunately will not be back.

It wasn't long before my server was over with a bottle of water and a glass full of ice. The reason I came here was because there was a salad listed on the menu that just sounded very refreshing for the hot summer afternoon. I ordered the chop salad with grilled chicken and it was out to me, perfectly plated, in about 5 minutes. The salad was delicious and the chicken was flavorful and hot. The restaurant is small and bright with tons of natural lighting. The bathroom is small, unisex, kind of dark and dim, and a little dingy. My server wasn't the most friendly and she didn't come back to my table after she dropped off the food. I had to go up to the front to ask for a side of dressing. I'd still recommend the restaurant and go back hoping for a different server.

I ordered and picked up, everyone was nice at pick up. I had to go with the famous food Network sandwhich, The squawking goat. This was a biscuit with perfectly seasoned fried chicken, topped with fried goat cheese and pepper jelly! Every bite was delicious. The fried goat cheese was fried perfect and when you bite into it, it oozed out. I loved the pepper jelly as well, it leaned more on the sweeter side but I didn't mind it all. We also tried the chicken waffles. Again very good. The waffle was seasoned nicely. I personally like my waffles harder, but could of been the drive back to house that softened it up. But the flavor was on point so was okay with it. The chicken like in my biscuit was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Tried their churro(iced) latte. Loved it, my mind was set on a super sweet drink BUT this was not at all, was a perfect blend and balance. We got a side of crispy potatoes, weren't a fan of these, no flavor and not really that crispy. But by time we ate everything else the potatoes were an after thought. That be the only thing I wouldn't order again.
