Items were supposed to be dropped at two locations; a storage facility for when my senior's apartment would be ready for occupancy and a few other items to an auction house, items that I would not be able to keep once in a smaller space. I had to leave out of province for two months to care for another elderly relative. By the time I returned and viewed the statement from the auction house, I saw that Eager Beavers were a bit too eager and disposed of many wrong items! I am not impressed at all. And to top it off, I was charged an extra $1500. over my initial quote, $1000 of which was spent for 4 guys to sit in a truck while they were stuck in traffic. Furious, does not adequately convey my feelings.

The service received while booking was excellent. Easy, reasonable. Great customer service. The…read moremove itself. Terrible. The guys were nice enough. I hired for three movers, as I lived in a condo and needed one to stay downstairs with the truck at all times. On the day of the move two showed up, surprised and shocked I asked for three. From that moment on, it was not good. They didn't wrap stuff so you can imagine things did not end up in their place, as they were. Scratches, marks and broken items. None reported because they were items that could be replaced as they were deco. Little did I know until much later, there were much bigger issues when putting together rooms. I unpacked slowly because of being busy so didn't realize some of it until a month later. And after the end of it I was just done. It was an extremely hot day so I was feeling for the guys. They sent a third mover an hour after start time. So the two others sat waiting for them and tried to park the truck. As the day wore on which was quoted for 4 hours, they just got slower and slower. Taking one item at a time. Taking forever to come back to the place. More time, bigger bill. I was graceful because of the heat and I'm a relatively chill person. And again, the lead guy was very nice. However, at the end they quoted almost $400+ more dollars than the original quote. On top of starting from the time they arrived versus the time they started. What a joke. Not only did I freak because of course I was including a good tip (at the time I didn't realize about the wrapping of items or that they didn't watch the stuff downstairs while moving). That's right, on top of it all when I came downstairs to leave to go to the new place, a homeless person was going up the street with one of my larger items. To which I had to go and take it back from them, all the while looking at these guys like professionals?! Hmmm. Either way, I ended up losing it talking to the guy in the office for the "quote" variation, the mess up of two guys vs three and the all over experience. I wasn't going to write a review, as I'd rather say nothing than give a bad review. But they had asked me to write one as I'm sure they get some kind of kudos for doing so; but after thinking about it and finding more and more things marked like my brand new desk which I just want to sell now, I thought about the reason I chose them in the first place. Great reviews! Imagine. So I'm not sure if people are like myself and would rather not review if it's bad, I'm not trying to ruin business or reputation. However, had I seen more reviews like mine, my desk and dresser wouldn't be marked up quite a bit, a small Art Deco statue broken, or wasted money on a company I thought would be excellent based on reviews. I have maybe two bad reviews out of a lot. Know when I'm telling you, choose a small business and leave these guys to the "good reviewers." Not a good experience.

Yesterday, my elderly grandmother experienced the most stressful, chaotic and abusive move in her…read moreentire life. It's important to set the stage here and share some pertinent information: - She was moving from an independent living facility to an assisted living facility. Now, yes, that kind of transition can be difficult for older folks, but the relevance comes in with 3.2 km the amount of stuff that required moving. For month's prior, the great purge occurred, where anything that would not be needed in the new facility was sorted and donated. This left two dressers, a loveseat, a chair, a clock, one end table, small kitchen table with chairs, and a wall unit and 20-25 totes. Everything was packed, all that the movers were contracted to do was wrap and move furniture. - The move was booked with Jason C, on July 12th, with a quote of 3-5 hours (at $159.00 per hour) plus a truck, travel, equipment and basic coverage charge of $159.00. Also a fuel surcharge of 5%. This meant, if it took the full 5 hours it would be $795.00 + 159.00 = $954.00. A $100 deposit was paid in order to book, which would be deducted from the final bill. This quote also specifically says that the rate includes 2 professional movers. (Remember this, it's important!) - The plan, which had been communicated at the time of booking was that there would be two unloading sites, 1 being 3.2 km (7 minutes' drive) from the pick-up site, and 2 being the final destination and 4.9 km (13 minutes) from site 1. The truck, driven by Tom (who was not in uniform) arrived at 9:33 AM (booked to arrive between 9 and 10 AM). Immediately, the swamper/other mover (Jesse) gets right to work, moving the smaller stuff to the truck. He certainly was driven, which was incredibly helpful, because all Tom did was sit on his cell phone and argue with the person on the other end, after he wrapped a dresser and the clock. Frustrated in watching Jesse working his butt off solo, (and knowing that Tom's screw-around time on the phone was just doubling the cost of the move) my dad steps in to move to small items (a grocery cart and a walker) to the truck. Tom tells my mom to tell my dad to stop. Was it for liability purposes? Oh no, he said my dad that him helping was SLOWING HIM DOWN. Slowing him down from what? His uber-important phone conversations?? Finally, the first load is finished in TWO HOURS. Two hours to load 20ish easily stackable totes and 10 pieces of furniture. But of course, it takes that long when only one of the movers is doing their job. They then went to site 1 to unload some of the furniture, which took 25 minutes longer than it should have. It took them 40 minutes to travel 3.2 kilometres on what is typically a 7 minute drive. Upon arrival, Jesse gets out of the vehicle and begins moving the end tables and tried to move the wall unit on his own. Tom has yet to exit the vehicle, instead choosing to perform his very important phone calls, and have a social hour with a neighbour. This frustrated my aunt who was at site 1 to receive the large furniture, because the other mover Jesse, couldn't do it alone, so she told Tom that he needed to start helping Jesse to get it done. That she wasn't paying him to sit on the phone. His response? He was ONLY a driver and couldn't assist. Of course, she gets angry - she paid for TWO movers. She gets in touch with Randy, who is eager to get off the phone with my aunt, to speak to his driver. He wouldn't let her express her concerns whatsoever. Now don't get me wrong, I've worked many, many years in customer service, and I understand the annoyance of Karen's. But my aunt was not one of those, and if Randy had taken the time to at least HEAR the issues, things would have likely been resolved quickly. It's concerning that only the employees word goes. I'm sure he told them he was taking a quick 10-minute break and didn't disclose that he had been on the phone all morning, not doing his job. And I'm sure he didn't tell his boss he informed the customer he was only a driver. She asks to be escalated to Andy who also doesn't provide any customer service or resolution, but it does get Tom out of the vehicle to assist with moving the wall unit to the top of the stairs. Finally, what needed to be unloaded here is done, and the driver and the mover set off to site 2. This should have taken MAYBE 20 minutes, so why did it take them 45 minutes?? Keep in mind, that now, since we are past the 3-hour mark, time is charged in 15-minute increments, so that extra 25 minutes sure counted. They finally arrive at site 2, and shockingly, Tom carries in two things (one in each hand). When he sees my grandmother and mother in the suite the first thing Tom does is approach my mother and grandmother and with a cocky sneer says, "This move is going to take SOOOOOO long now". Dearest gentle reader, I'm sure you can put two and two together and can clearly understand that out of spite, Tom was now informing them that it was going to take eve

It's quite difficult to handle without any damages but these movers were really experts handling heavy furniture in a very secure manner. They got the best workers whom you can trust to take good care of your stuffs. I think those men can do impossible things. As I called them to ask for assistance to move my stuff they were very helpful from the moment I called them. Actually when I called them I'm in a tight budget but they try to help me and they do the job within my budget and it was my first time to use a moving company to help me out with my problems. After they gave me the estimate I was surprised of what they gave was a cheap and affordable rates and that's one of the reason why I have to hire them for my move. On the day of the move, they came to my condo unit to check my room and had a few conversation and then they started to do the job. Their men works really hard and so fast and they do the packing in just 3 hours with heavy furniture then after they moved all my stuff going to sixth floor and using only the stairs and they finished the whole move in just 7 hours that includes packing and moving using only stairs and they also helped me rearranged my stuff. It was the best service and great assistance. I will used them again for the future moved. I would definitely recommend them to anybody..
