Unfortunately, our Unitized washer/dryer died last week. I shopped at all the big box retailers and found their delivery charges to be ridiculous and their prices to all be the same. There was also a wait of up to 6 weeks for the order to be delivered! While searching for appliance stores on Google, I came across CAS. On their website, I was able to chat with a real salesperson at 10pm who gave me a great deal on the unit I was interested in, AND waived the delivery and removal charges. I placed my order and paid all through chat. I was shocked to learn that the unit that I had ordered on Monday, would be delivered on Thursday of the same week! The delivery service provides a tracking website to view the status of the delivery on the day of the order and they arrived right on time. They were friendly and courteous throughout the transaction. To be honest, I kept waiting for something to go wrong, or for there to be a catastrophe (as there always is when ordering from Home Depot or Lowes). There were absolutely no issues with purchase or delivery at all. After the machine was installed, I removed the stickers and noticed a small dent under a sticker (not CAS' fault). I chatted again on their website and was told they would send my issue to the manufacturer right away. The agent apologized for the issue and is keeping in touch while we wait for contact from GE. I could not be happier with CAS, and I have already begun to tell my family and friends about the great service I have received. I will definitely be buying my appliances from CAS in the future! 26 Sept. 2024 On May 24, 2024, I purchased a smeg dual fuel range from Canadian Appliance Source, Barrie store, that contained a dead rat. Range was delivered on May 26 and left in my kitchen, factory wrapped in cardboard and plastic. I arranged for a local gas company to do the unpack and install on May 28. I took the time to read the owners manual. Manual stated that upon first startup of the oven, to not be surprised if there was an initial odd smell. They stated that this was the last traces of the solvents, oils, and other substances from the manufacturing process burning off as the unit initially heated up. Unpack and hook up of the unit by the gas company was uneventful. Gas stove top worked perfectly. I did not need to use the oven yet, so did not start it up. A few days later I started the oven empty. Almost immediately, I smelled a foul odour. I left the oven on for 30 minutes as suggested by the manual. The odour continued. I read some consumer reviews that suggested one burn off was not enough, so over the next few days I started it up 2 more times. Odour continued. I contacted Sam Cichelly, the salesman who sold me the range and was given a contact number for a factory approved repair shop. Technician arrived on July 5. When he removed the rear panel of the unit he found a dead rat inside the back of the range. He removed the rodent and cleaned and disinfected the area where the rat had been found. Oven was started, odour was gone. On July 7, 40 days after delivery of oven, I was able to use it for the first time. Unhappy with my purchase, I contacted Canadian Appliance Source, and asked for some compensation. As the oven was working, I didn't demand a return, just a price roll back to cover the 40 days of inconvenience that was caused the oven sitting in my kitchen, unusable. I was told that was not an option and directed to call the Customer Service Number for smeg Canada. I did not buy the oven from smeg Canada, I bought it from Canadian Appliance Source. I hold them responsible. I expected them to stand by their sale, but it seems that as soon as the store door closes behind you, so does their customer service and support. If your future plans include a new major appliance, consider one of the other stores in the Barrie region, I give Canadian Appliance Source one star at best. Norman Sneddon read more

Buyer Beware! Do not shop here. They will deliver you broken appliances then not let you return them and make you pay to get them fixed!!! Dealt with Rob Adams in Barrie, who has continuously lied to us throughout this nightmare of a process. They shipped us a broken stove, their delivery ppl plugged it in and now they claim that since it was 'installed' it cannot be returned!! Rob completely made up an 'escalations' department within the company just to get us to stop dealing with him. This guy is a joke, if this is how you do business you will not last long. I ordered a new Fridge from CAS. When the crew leader arrived to deliver it, he was very upset that the doors needed to be removed from the new unit, and he was even more upset about the doors being on the unit being removed. He said he was told nothing about having to take doors off (he waved the CAS paper at me). He said he would do it "because I have time", but implied that he could just leave. I had emailed my sales rep to let him know about the doors, but that was not communicated to the shipping company. I went through a lot of trouble to clear a path and measure to make sure everything would fit. I even took a door they had to pass through off its hinges to make it easier to get through. For the crew to show up and immediately start complaining about the 5 minutes it takes to pull off the doors (which I warned them about) really didn't sit well with me. The fridge delivered was non-functional. I realized this as soon as I plugged it in (which needs to wait for a couple hours after delivery). The fridge just beeps the door open alarm and doesn't cool. CAS took 2 days to send the delivery company back. When they couldn't fix it, I was told to fill out a form for a replacement and wait for an email. The email came another day later, denied me a replacement, and said LG would come in 5-7 working days to take a look. I am now expected to wait 2 weeks or more without a fridge and no one at CAS is willing to do anything to help. I made a large Purchase of all new appliances for my kitchen on Nov 2021, It is September of 2022, and every 2 weeks I receive a new "Delay Notice" for my Dishwasher, every time I call they blame Samsung for the delay. I requested a replacement within the same value, but available in stock, the refused, they say the volume discounts I got do not apply to a replacement. So, the Dishwasher I purchased current value is $1,299.00 because of the volume I purchased, the discounted it to $950.00, The sticker value they want to replace my unit is $950.00, which discounted would be probably $750.00 and they seem to think that is fair. Want to make a change to your order two seconds later? You'll pay a restocking fee. You know that 4 hours delivery window? Don't sign your name. No matter how rushed you are to get back to work. I ordered a full set of kitchen appliances. Spent $1000's was assured my product would come aug which most of it did. I was missing one item which was on back order. Fine. I get an email saying my order was ready to be picked up on a Friday. On wed the following week I drove 20 min to pick it up to find out my product still wasn't there. The response I get was sorry it will come in tomorrow not my fault you got the email. I called next day and my product still not there. I asked to speak to a manager to the response I got was " sorry I can't get you a manager for this matter". I asked again and was denied. I wrote an email to the ceo and got no response. Called ceo ari and he hung up on me. Clearly this company doesn't value its customers and all they care about is getting your money. Stay far away not worth the hassle. read more

Adam Stubbs, Salesperson was courteous and helped us choose a fridge that would meet our needs. We made it clear that our existing fridge was good but just not big enough, so we wanted it moved to our lower level. Delivery team arrived on the scheduled day, but without the promised hour's notice. They began preparing the new fridge for installation, and told us they would not relocate our existing fridge with the doors still on. But. they explained, "there are trucks in the area every day; just call sales to have them stop in". We called a neighbour who was there is 3 minutes; installers were still working. While our neighbour was removing the doors and wheels, the installers worked furiously to get out of the house before our neighbour finished -- so furiously they neglected to check the level of the new fridge, as promised, and install the handles. Our house is upside down, and my 90-year old wife is unable to use the stairs without the railings I removed for the installers. The best Sales and Customer Care could do was three days later. I'll need to call a mover to do it because my wife is so stressed. First and last time we buy from CAS. read more

I placed a very large order for appliances by telephone on Dec 29. On Jan 2, I decided to change the washer/dryer I ordered to another model. On Jan 2, the price of the new model was $2295. I took a screenshot of the price. On Jan 2, I called CAS Customer Service to make the change. They refused to make the change and told me my original sales rep was the only person who could make the change. They put in a request for her to call me and I waited. It is their policy that customers cannot deal with another sales rep and I had to wait for her to call me. On Jan 6, after still not hearing from her, I called back Customer Service and asked for them to make the change in my order. They refused and said I could only do that with the sales rep. They put in another request for her to call me. On Jan 9, the sales rep finally called me back. From Jan 2 (when I called to make the change) to Jan 9 (when she finally called me back), the price of the new model went from $2295 to $2495 (+$200!). The sales rep said she can't give me the price from Jan 2 and told me I would need to pay the higher price. I don't think it's fair that because the sales rep took a week to call back their client, that the client should have to pay a higher price. If Customer Service or another sales rep could have made the change on January 2, I would have paid the lower price of $2295. They take your money quickly when you place your order but then you're stuck when you want to make a change. If the sales rep takes their time calling you back and the price goes up, oh well, the customer needs to pay more. Customer Service was not helpful at all and didn't care.
