Probably because of that, I totally forgot CC Recycling was coming for the cars monday morning. I had one vehicle in the garage with only 3 tires on it (2 of which were flat) and another vehicle blocking that one into the garage. I assumed I could get the one vehicle ready to go while the other was being hooked up for the tow, but I totally misjudged how long it would take. Kevin from CC Recycling was incredibly helpful, and patient, while I did the bare minimum I needed to do to make it possible for him to tow both vehicles. As soon as we pulled up, two guys came out of the building and started hauling in our cardboard. They were so helpful and efficient, we were only there for a minute or two. It was painless! The other time I've gone there was to get a recycling tub since one didn't come with the property. Again, very helpful with information about what they will accept in the recycling tubs and I was in and out of there in only a couple of minutes. Recyling has never been so easy.

Out-of-State beer bottles? Don't expect to recycle them here. :) Get the box cardboard box for $5 and keep it in your garage. When you bring back a full bag of cans and/or bottle they'll give you another replacement liner for free. I think they prefer you keep plastic bottles, glass bottles and cans separated. You can buy extra bags for a few bucks each.

BTW, most scrap yards are very friendly and helpful, but this yard is at the top of my list! As an interesting aside, I could not help but notice that they had what I assumed was a brand new CAT crane loading me. I also noticed that the Operator was very deft and precise in his "Maestro" level of control while orchestrating the controls of his machine. I learned later that the "New" crane was in fact FIVE YEARS OLD". By all appearance, I would have sworn that is was less then one week old. I have seen a LOT of cranes in many yards. I have seen cranes that were less than a month old that did not look like they were even close to being brand new. I also learned that the Operator was so good that Marion Iron bought the crane especially for him and that he was the only person authorized to operate it. This company has SOUL!
