Two couches sustained mold damaged while being in storage for almost 2 years, so we had to part with them. We left the couches inside our fenced-in yard. Jeremey came by, picked them up and let us know when he left. He accepts several different forms of payment; we happened to use Venmo. I'd say our job was on the easier side, but it appears they handle and haul all kinds of junky situations. Highly recommend. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

My father-in-law asked them one day when he was visiting, and the guy collecting our trash that day made an insulting comment about his age and the heat, and that when it's hot, they don't separate the two. Of course, it was June...however that didn't explain not separating them every week since March? The next week, they finally separated our recycling from the trash, but only ours. Considering our landfill is filling at a rapidly concerning rate, and I spend a decent amount of time recycling items and breaking down boxes to recycle them, I didn't appreciate the shady business they're practicing. Considering how much they didn't care when I called to cancel our services, I think it's best for literally anyone to just go with ABC instead of A-1, they literally cost the same but they're professional, actually recycle, and their website doesn't look like it was built in 2003. I'll be making sure to slowly convert our entire street to ABC if there's anything I have to say about it.​

Terrible quality, terrible attitudes when you call, terrible service all around. We have a community that is an HOA, the HOA is only formed because the private roads are maintained by the community. (Roads are chip and seal) A-1 Disposal serviced our community for years and we started out with an agreement that they would not come into the neighborhood and will have to have a standard pick up truck come in to get the trashcans to take them to the main county road. Over the years we allowed A-1 to come into our community WITH THE UNDERSTANDING that they will not turn around in our cul-de-sac. For the last 5 years we have called and asked to have their drivers trained on the rules of coming into our neighborhood. But we still find them doing whatever they want on our private roads. I recently called up asking once again for them to correct the situation and I was handed to the owner who proceeded to argue with me on the phone and threaten to call the cops so we can talk to them about it. Again we have private roads the police have nothing to do with it. We as a community will be filing a cease and desist letter so they are no longer allowed in the neighborhood. That is how bad this company is, and the owner certainly doesn't deserve any customer since he doesn't respect the fact that the reason he has a business, is because of the customers.

The storage fees were killing me, and I so wanted my photographs and albums. I knew some of the stuff I wouldn't want, but some I would want brought up to where I currently live at some point. I decided to start my consolidating the units and eliminating the larger unit. I called Eastern Iowa Jun Removal on a Monday and they were available that Friday that I was driving in. They did a fantastic job! We were able to clear out the larger unit, they made 3 trips to the dump for me, and we found my precious photographs and albums. They worked hard for 9 hours, and I was so impressed. In a couple of months we're going to go through the rest of the smaller unit, and weed out what to keep and what not to keep and they will haul it to my new place. I am so impressed with this young man! I highly recommend Eastern Iowa Junk Removal for all your moving or junk removal needs!
