If possible I would give CAMS a 10+ rating! I was enroute to a much anticipated vacation whenI experienced engine malfunction. Needless to say it was a tramatic experience to be stranded on the highway. After having vehicle towed from Mississippi to Louisiana, I was given a referral that wasnt accommodating at all...well, my warranty group sent me to CAMS. Turns out that was the BEST thing that could have happened. Within an hour of contacting the shop my vehicle was in good hands. Honest, thorough and precise, CAMS identified the problem in a timely manner. The team worked directly with the warranty group, communicated with me every step of the way and with priority and a sense of urgency, my vehicle was repaired and ready for pickup in less than 2 weeks!!! I had to travel back from Tennessee and Mr Stephen (Sr) waited at the shop for me to get there on a Friday evening. I could write a book but I'll just say this : IF you need anything pertaining to auto maintenance or repair I definitely recommend CAMS. Cams is my new trusted auto repair and consultant company in the auto repair business. I own 4 vehicles and know a couple of things automotive...I am also from out of town as well. Jonathan was very consultative about helping me with my 1998 LandCruiser and it's AC issues. He stayed in touch with me on the progress from start to finish...the other technicians that I spoke with at Cams are also kind, personable and have pride in their work and company. The work that was performed (Ac compressor) is also warranty nationwide through NAPA repair service association!!! I had a pseudo emergency when I came from out of town and searched for a shop with good reviews since I don't know the area at all. I'm really glad I chose to go to Cams, the other 5 star reviews aren't lying, they're lovely. Jonathan was so nice and helpful on the phone and in person, Steve was also super nice and polite--he was in the office when I first showed up. They didn't try to give me a bunch of jargon that I, someone not trained in the field of automotive repair, wouldn't understand. After fitting me in last minute was told it wasn't a difficult fix and they gave me options, calling to check before they went ahead and did anything to my car. I'm never sure what to expect with auto care having had not great experiences in the past, but I try not to compare or assume the worst. I have been going to Cams since I was referred to him through a networking group. I use to take my car to a shop and count on coming out with $1000.00 bill. This is not true at Cams. Their prices are always good. Also when I was buying a new car, Steve said to have the car dealership drive the car to his shop and he would check it out for me. He did this for me at no charge and I am still driving it and loving it! Since they are near the airport I drop the car off when I am going out of town and pick it on the way back it, after they do a normal check up. Once I was having troubles finding parking at the airport, I called them and they let me park the car there for the weekend, and they drove me to the airport so i would not miss my flight! I took my car to CAMS because the brakes were making a horrible noise. I figured I was a ways past a brake change. Much to my surprise, Stephen called 45 minutes to say my car was ready and I owed nothing! There was a rock stuck in the mechanism; they pulled it out, checked the brakes and told me I was good for another 20k miles or so. I don't trust anyone else with my cars. Landed at MSY at 11pm, started my car and the check battery light comes on. Since I live in Baton Rouge, I decided not to risk the drive and checked into a hotel. Looked online at all the Auto Repair shops in the area and Cams had the best reviews. They lived up to the hype. They had to order an new Alternator, which they quickly got and installed.
