He was extremely friendly and informative. I do my own vehicle maintenance, and it was nice not to be pushed into services I didn't need. He was honest about the life left in the coolant and air filter. My only complaint would be the 80 minutes it took to get an oil change with no line.

I brought my car in for oil chg and tire rotation 3 days ago. I asked them to check my…read moretransmission as it was acting funny. Dont think they checked it. When we left we got about a mile down the street and the car died, would not start. Goodrich sent a mechanic who jumped me a couple times to drive a little further but never got more than half a mile. He said the was going to the shop to get a batteray and replace the old one as that could be the problem. Needless to say it started up and we finished driving back to the shop. They charged me $274.00 for the new battery. 2 days later I brought it in to my dealer asking them to check my transmission as the car was still acting strange. They called me today to tell me the transmission was fine and a new alternator is what I needed. The one in the car was about dead, the new battery was keeping it alive. He said that was why it was acting funny because the dying alternator did not have enough power to run the care correctly. So my trip for an oil chg etc cost me $92.00, and the battery $274.00 at Goodyear. Had they checked the battery and alternator like say they do they would have found the problem. They always say the check everything...they said they reset the mileage for oil change on dash after I asked and they did not. How can I believe they do everything I brought the car in for? The cost an the dealer is anothe $327.00 for alternator & labor plus $247.00 for diagnostic fee. Looks like I am out $875.00. Maybe I did not need a new battery, it was their word.... I had stopped going to Goodyear in Kenner on 32nd St for a while and decided to go back a few months ago....but after this episode I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I will go to Firestone, they are closer to my house. So please people, make sure the diagnosis is correct on your vehicle from Goodyear if you go there for serivce...and ask all the questions you want to . The Mgr Ron has always worked with me the past years but now I am not sure it was not a ploy.

I took my car over and spoke with Mike and Henry on the issue. I was really surprised on how well they treated me. When they looked over the problem they were able to quote me a much lower price than expected. Furthermore, I really felt as though they were looking out for my best interests. They saved me a ton of money on getting the car back to a driveable state without pushing additional unneeded repairs. When I picked up the car, not only did they fix the main problem, but also tightened my belts that were squealing with no additional cost. These guys are AWESOME!.
