The dealer had only one mechanic working and could not be bothered. Two other mechanics at two other shops offered no help. At 2:00 PM on a Friday afternoon, EFI Services, Inc. in Elmwood (of all places) was recommended to me. It took a little while, but the owner and his wife took the time to put the car on the computer, test it and reset the computer for a total stranger who they might never see again. The owner refused payment saying, "I have been stuck out of town before." Only in my hometown of New Orleans.

Took my car into New Orleans Dent Repair for body work. Brian told us when we picked it up that it…read morehad an oil leak and should be checked out. We had been taking the Mercedes ML 350 across the lake to the Mandeville for service and thought it might have been from the recent oil change. They said that it was a "bad rear main seal" and would be ~$900 to repair. I decided to get a second opinion. My regular mechanic, Henry at Automotive Services does not do this type of work on Mercedes so he recommended Lindsey Automotive around the corner. I spoke with Eddie and he said that he did not believe it would be a bar rear seal but a defective cap that he has been seeing a lot of lately on that model. He said it would be significantly cheaper. We took the car in and it did turn out to be just the bad cap which will cost $275 to replace (instead of the ~900 quoted on the BS repair). Also, when you are there, Eddie is usually working on an amazing assortment of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porches, Maseratis, etc. We spent 10 minutes just taking pictures of cars.
