After some Yelp surfing, I placed a call to Lighthouse Flower Shop five minutes before they were scheduled to open, spoke to Lisa, and she treated me like the most important being in the vast galaxy. Nice. Following small talk, chuckles, and giggles -- all confirmation signs, perhaps, from the Universe -- I knew I was in the right place, a precious place. Yes. Thought for a minute about the tone to a measured memo, a nice note, for the card. Then placed my order at a terrific price, and sat back and waited like a precocious plumb nine year old waiting for the magic to happen on Christmas, notwithstanding the ache and pain my friend was embracing and enduring! Life. Long story short: My dear friend loved the gesture and the floral arrangement saying, "The flowers are beautiful. My goodness.
