I ordered a cab for 9:15-9:30 and called at 9:40 to confirm its arrival since I was still waiting. The person who answered the phone (after two previous calls going unanswered) said that he did not have anything down for that time and that he was the only person there who would have answered the call. I proceeded to provide some detail on the conversation I had at time of booking (it was very specific) and the person said, "I am trying to get you a cab if you would stop babbling." (Direct quote!) In shock, I asked if he was the manager and he said, "No I'm not the manager, I'm the owner!" along with some other incredibly rude remarks and an extremely condescending tone. After that, I informed him that a cab would not be needed after such treatment and he said, "That's fine, have a nice life!" I absolutely cannot believe it. At no point was I rude, condescending, or disrespectful. To be treated so disrespectfully by the *owner* of the company for trying to utilize a service THEY provide is truly shocking. I am appalled and disappointed and encourage anyone trying to use a cab to look elsewhere. If an Uber was available, I would have definitely taken it in a heartbeat but unfortunately none were free at my time of need. I have never been so disrespected for trying to be a decent, paying customer. Never again!

To be blunt, there is NO reason to use the other taxi companies in this town when you have Green Cab at your service. They're professional, friendly, and punctual.

Firstly, he tried to get to my apartment going the long way; but I got him to follow my directions. Then, when we arrived he said that a 3.5 mile cab ride, which should've cost the minimum $8, would be $14! In the end, he said it was an extra fee because we had a bike. But before that, he claimed there was a $2 charge for each piece of luggage, so he was supposedly giving us a discount. He also claimed the sign inside the cab noted this. I made him show me; & of course it did not say so. It said there was a max 2 bags per passenger, so our 4 bags (2 were our backpacks, 1 was a medium sized shopping bag, & 1 was a carry-on sized suitcase) should not have cost anything extra. It also noted there may be an extra fee for additional things; but nearly doubling the cost bc we had one bike that fit in the back with tons of extra room was ridiculous. Plus, trying to make up fees to charge extra proves he was just trying to rob us. I did not pay the outrageous fee, and paid only the $8 charge + an extra dollar. I would've given this company an extra star since my first experience was not like this; but the driver also made a rude comment about not being a cargo van when he was getting back into his cab. This happened after I specifically asked if it would be OK to put a bike in the back when I called for the cab. Plus, the guy was acting friendly at first, we had a nice conversation on the way home; but as soon as I politely asked why it was $14 instead of $8, he became rude and unhelpful (that's when he started making up the extra bag charges to justify the unreasonable increase). Also, I've put a bike in a couple other cabs in the past and have never had this kind of an issue. I've found most cabs here in East Lansing to not be trustworthy; so pay attention when you use one! I suggest you use your phone's navigation if you don't know your way around already to make sure they aren't trying to take the long route. Also, pay attention to the costs they post in their cab and do your own calculation. I know they aren't all crooks; but too many of them are!

Also, I asked them to pick me up 30 min early just in case they were running late. Nope, they still forgot to pick me up! Completely unreliable!! The drivers are also jerks. My friends and I were at the gas station after being dropped off by the Michigan Flyer. We had at least 4 large luggages because we were coming back from vacation. When the driver saw us, he stayed in the van and did not offer to help us put our luggages in his van. HOW RUDE! As might be expected, we were in no shape to drive, and anticipating this, my best friend/maid of honor's husband had called Big Daddy Taxi to take me and another friend to my house. Luckily, the friend I was with had parents who lived in East Lansing. (Thank God they were out of town!) We went to her folks' house, then had to call my then-fiance (now husband) to come get us. He was still on the way back from Cedar Point, where he'd had HIS bachelor party, so we had to chill at my friend's parents' house for an hour or so longer before he could come get us. Not cool.
