We weren't home that day but Rick kept in touch with me via text. I knew exactly when he arrived and when he left. His conduct was exemplary and his honesty should not be taken lightly. Have had Campora Propane Service for 13 plus years and I would never switch companies. Excellent service, excellent employees.

My friend bought a house in the area and it had a propane tank. Within 10 days of the purchase of her house, her hot water quit. We investigated the situation and discovered that her propane had been disconnected and a device added so that she'd be locked out of putting it back on! There was no notice on the fence or front door. I'm wondering who let them on the property past the locked gate? They finally came for the tank, with a 30% balance. Did they credit her? Refund? No. Poor customer service can be found at Campora. Don't do business with them! Boycott with your dollars! read more

Unnecessary charges. They just came up with a 125 min gal delivery instead of 100 gal and a $150 leak test on propane tanks showing less than 5%. Just a way to get more out of the customer. No notice or anything. I'll be going somewhere else read more

Within 10 days of closing on my property Campora locked my propane, no notice was given to me, nothing placed on my property that they locked the propane, nor was anything mailed to me. I found out as I did not have hot water. They do not want to keep or gain customers. Went to a different propane company. After 44 yrs living in the mtns I've unfortunately expierenced numerous unprofessional encounters & very rude customer service so this review is long over due, especially as they continue to get worse as time goes on. Smelled gas around kitchen stove so teated for leaks at fittings & no bubbles, shut off gas valve behind stove & odor dissipated. Called campora since they service the entire street & it's metered. I called the emergency ph # at 7:52pm friday night & answering service read off all the dangers, etc & had a technician (Dave) called me & I explained everything. He just told me he couldn't arrive until the next day & refused to give me an approx time when I requested it. He calls at 7:55am & says I'm 1min away which means I'm here open up. So after his investigation he repeats everything I told him the night before. You have a gas leak around the stove so our policy is to shutt off the main gas line to your house & I explained it would leave no heat or hot water & he d8dnt care but just repeated its our policy & said we don't fix leaks, call a plumber but I'm going to write this up. I replied then shy didn't you tell me this last night when I could've called a plumber. You just wasted time & lect our hone without heat & hot water. I WILL be pursuing this legally & have there tank that serves the entire street removed as there's NO legal easement & it's cracked the entire concrete driveway causing tripping hazards which estimate I received from Marty was $26,400 & of course Campora take no responsibility. Do not go to Campora I won 2 free fill ups there and every time no one was there to honor it. I finally got in there to fill up and now she couldn't find my tickets to fill them. Prooane was 4.29 but if you were a regular custome it's cheaper. Also sold our house and no credit no credit on the propane. When new people moved they charged them for the propane that had already been purchased. DOUBLE DIPPING RIP OFF read more

Speaking on the service in Oakhurst, Ca., these folks are great! We are new to rural living and having a propane tank for all our gas needs. We found out the hard way that we did not have a standing refill service and were cold for a couple of nights over the weekend. I called Campora first thing Monday morning and by 11am, I had hot water and my wall heaters all up and running again. Great service provided by Wanda at the office and Bob the field tech! read more

Monitor your per gallon rate. This company is not competitive and charged to fill a 500 gallon tanks about 85 cents over local oakhurst competition. Only adjustment was 10cents off my 2.76 gallon summer rate. read more

I own a vacation rental in Yosemite West. We had a big winter storm and we ran out of propane. The Campora team came through for me and delivered our gas one day before our next guest check in. I can't thank Marlow, Mark Price and Vern for all their time and effort and driving in harsh winter conditions to warm our home and keep my business going! When we bought our place in Coarsegold we had another propane company. We followed advice from friends and went with Campora. They were very flexible about coming out to deliver the tank, fill us up and help us with our propane stove inside the house. I have never used it before; I was used to natural gas and they are not the same. They billed us quick and easy and I paid the same way. The customer service was impressive as my hubby spent some time making phone calls to figure out how to get the tank, etc. Wow, were the gals helpful and the guy who helped us with the stove was really great. Also, the crew who installed the tank were all friendly and nice guys. These people know about customer service and what people need and want. I wish I could give them more stars. Thanks. read more

When we bought our house in 2007 we kept the Campora propane service that was already in place. In 5 years we've completely run out of propane twice -although there is supposed to be someone who goes around and checks the tanks. The last time we ran out, the guage was stuck on 70% for over 6 months and the delivery driver did not think to mention it to anyone or check to see if we had suddenly stopped using all propane. The driver's response was "I was wondering why y'all kept having an almost full tank" I did speak to someone in the front office about the errors on the part of the company and she blew everything off and suggested that I could schedule them to pick up the tank anytime I wanted. Billing has issues too, even if you pay at time of delivery, they bill you for the full amount anyway and then tell you that the payment came in after the bill went out. Propane isn't a stable commodity, the price is higher in the winter than in the summer normally. I'm not too impressed with Campora Propane Service. They score a "Customer Service Needs A LOT of Help" rating. read more

Check other propane company pricing before refilling from Campora. We just had our tank filled and were charged $2.599 per gallon; 80 cents over another company. Called to verify the pricing and found that it is the summer price and it will go up in the winter months. An adjustment was made of 30 cents. We will be changing propane service next year. read more

Terrible service! My husband failed to call for propane and when he did was told that the driver had a full load and they would try to make it. It was Friday and they would be closed on Monday. We were at less than 5%. Here it is Saturday and no one showed up. My husband did make a huge error by not calling earlier in the week or by not having us on a regular schedule. He is in the dog house for that and never again will this happen. Why I rate them as terrible is that they knew we were running out. Why did they not do the right thing by seeing who they could move around so that we would not be without gas. That is what a good ...caring...business would do. read more

Terrible customer service!! We had our tank installed and had some issues with our hot water heater. The service guy came out and replaced the regulator and pilot light for the water heater with a bigger one than what the unit called for. We thought everything was ok for about 5 months, until we found out that we used our years supply of propane already. I opened the water heater closet to check it out and was hit in the face by the strong smell of propane. It's a wonder our house didn't blow up! We called them to let them know about the smell of gas and the fact that we used too much propane, and the service tech called us liars and that he never put a bigger pilot light and regulator in. On top of the extra propane we had to buy, they now want to charge us $80 an hour plus parts to fix their mistake. It goes without saying that we are cancelling our service when the tank goes empty and I urge all others to avoid these scammers. read more
