Went to have a 20lb propane tank filled(5 gal.) the employee said he filled the tank with 5.8 gal. When I tried to explain that was impossible he argued and said I could pay an extra fee and exchange the bottle I just filled....a 20lb tank should hold about 4.6 gal. From empty. Attendant on today was friendly and helpful!!! Needed air for our tires (cool overnight), and she got us going! Restrooms were clean and easily accessed. Gas is more expensive than in larger metropolitan areas, but that's a function of being farther from established routes and delivery prices as much as anything else. read more

Recently moved back to the area and needed propane for my trailer. I go through roughly $200 of propane a month, and like to shop around for the best deal. I called this place to ask how much propane is. A older lady answered, total Karen from the get go. I asked her how much is propane and if someone is available to pump it right now. She got very snarky and said I don't give prices over the phone and hung up. Well, ended up calling tractor supply instead...I got it for $3 a gallon there. Sold me the wrong size tire chains. Called and asked if they had tire chains in the size I needed and they said yes. When I went in to purchase them I showed them specifically what I needed and they refused to look at the information and brought out the box of chains. I even asked, are these the correct size and the attendant said yes. The box was unsealed and I paid $194 (100% mark-up) for the wrong size chains. Next day, I tried to get a refund, they refused. Asked to exchange for the correct size, they refused. All that I got was "all sales are final". It's not like I pulled these chains off the self and said I want to buy these. The night manager, I believe his name was Don, was super sweet and friendly. It is easy to get to, it's clean, and stocked with all the basics you'd expect. What more can you ask for? read more

Very clean and convenient gas station. Bathrooms were clean and cashier was very friendly. Open 24 hrs so if you're traveling to Yosemite it's a great stop once inside the park there is a chevron but gas prices go up like a dollar so this is definitely your go to stop. They also have a variety of otc medicines and toiletries which is great! read more

If you need gas, they've got it. Perfectly adequate place to fill up before heading into Yosemite. Your pump handle might be busted or cracked but this gas station is a hell of a lot less shady looking/feeling than the one 150 yards down the road. Prices were low (at least compared to the Bay Area, which I guess doesn't mean much) and they accept credit cards which isn't always a given in smaller towns (or any Arco), and I appreciate that. read more

Worst place to get gas on this mountain. Beware of the 20 cent debit credit difference. I unfortunately had the opportunity to meet the owner, who flat refused to turn my pump on. Needed roughly $90 of supreme to get me to Ventura County. Also had some munchies for the ride that I was hoping he could add into one transaction. No avail. I was going to easily spend about $115 between the gas, Monsters, beer for when we get to Ventura. Oh well. Sorry "Sonny" you lost a customer Pumps are slow. C store items are typical, albeit expensive as all hell. Beware of the carwash, it won't dry pickup trucks and SUVs for damn. There's a reason there is dirty rags strewn about the fence. read more

Our motorcycle group pulled in early in the morning as Jess was cleaning the bays. She greeted us with a smile and welcome and was super friendly. I bought some coffee which was excellent and she gave me some tips on how to make it delicious. The bathrooms were very clean. We returned each day for several days to get gas. read more

The manager here is rude and disrespectful to his staff. We had a dispute with him over a return which was agreed to (in writing) by a staff member but unable to be processed at the time due to problems with the credit card system. When we later discussed it with the manager he refused to honor his staff member's promise of a refund; kept calling the staff member 'stupid', and repeatedly ran away to hide in a back office because he didn't want to talk to us. If you're a 'manager', you should take responsibility for your business! read more

Poor customer service. Barbara needs some classes in customer service. I called to ask how much propane costs and she says "I'm not allowed to give prices on the phone" and hangs up. Wether that is true or not, hanging up on customers without saying "thank you for calling" or "is there anything else i can help you with" or " have a nice day " or something of the sort is a must. This the most expensive gas station in Oakhurst when purchasing gasoline or diesel fuel. It is also the least busiest and cleanest, as well. The mini- mart is typical with snacks and drinks marked up for the sake of convenience. One stand out here is the drive-thru car wash. No other gas stations offer one and it's does a pretty good job. Oh, most of the time, there is a worker who cleans your windshield. Nice touch from the past. -1 star for being so expensive. read more
