We picked up some salmon from the meat department, which she offered to cut into 4 equal servings for 2 meals at our cabin, wine for 6 meals - LOL - some cooking veggies, a baguette and same day made fruit tart from the bakery, sliced roasted Boar's Head Turkey & provolone cheese from the deli for lunches, yogurts for breakfast, blueberries and grapes to snack and our total was around $85. Not bad for 5 days of provisions while staying at nearby Bass Lake. Each employee we met or asked assistance from was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We came in on a Saturday around 5pm and it seems it had been a long holiday week of tourism, but they were all great. Several of the aisles were bare and we noticed that they raised the price of some of their goods. The new pricing may be to help them pay for the cost of the remodel - but, why remodel only to raise the prices and make it difficult for customers to navigate the aisles? Even the staff have trouble pointing out where the things are when asked. This is especially hard to grasp when our economy is at its worse times for the past several years. We're going to have to tighten our belts even more... and find a new grocery store to shop at. Sad!

Unfortunately, the quality was far below expectations. The coffee had a noticeably salty, unpleasant taste, and the matcha was extremely bitter with no trace of vanilla at all. We order this same drink regularly at other cafés, so we know what it should taste like--this was not it at all. It was also far too strong for a child, despite specifically asking for it to be kid-friendly. When I politely brought this up, I was surprised by how it was handled. I simply asked to add a little vanilla for it to taste better. Instead of offering to remake the drink or find a solution, I was told I would need to purchase a new one. I rarely ever ask for drinks to be redone, but this one was genuinely undrinkable. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the staff. The response felt dismissive and unprofessional, particularly from an employee named DJ. The interaction left us feeling unwelcome and unheard. Overall, poor quality drinks and disappointing customer service. We won't be returning.
